JoVo Vague Yes, Q, something I was hoping not to draw atttention to, though if JoVo chooses to, that's his prerogative. I didn't think it was a secret, and I didn't think it was a bad move either. I just noticed, so I knew even though you never told me. It wasn't a secret, I just didn't want to make a big deal of it here and have you feel that I was dressing you down in front of the guild. And I never told you explicitly because you're never on AIM. JoVo Guild War I. The War to End All Wars. Of course, then you have the whole treaty issue. Matiko will feel secluded and debased as he is forced to pay reparations to Q and Invisible Monsters. I'll stay out of it and adopt isolationist policies due to public pressures. Finally, Matiko will be suffer an economic crash, marked by hyperinflation. This'll upset Matiko so the people will elect a demagogic autocrat into power who will take over Matiko and start attacking smaller (less active) users like Reticence, Crafty, Pogo, and Catspaw. Upon attacking Catspaw, Q and Invisible Monsters will get involved in the fight against Matiko. Then, he'll join forces with Peter Rabbit, who will attack me. Finally, I'll get involved, save Invisible Monsters (who has surrendered to Matiko and is being occupied by his forces). This'll happen some time in June. I'll ally with Q and hit Matiko from the west while Tahariel will come in from the right. Matiko surrenders in the end, and we cut up his territory among the Allies. Then Tahariel separates from everyone and takes control of Crafty and Catspaw. I set up a blockade and start funding reparations for Q and Invisible Monsters, along with Matiko and others. Keithing joins Tahariel and gets Astri to join them, and we end up in a tense Cold War. Tahariel and Keithing direct satellite wars with various other users like Astri and Vague, and I have to go around "protecting" everyone, only getting into more trouble as time goes on. Finally, I convince Tahariel over to my side, and she loses her control on Catspaw and Crafty, leading to various civil wars among them that Tahariel, Q, Invisible Monsters, and I work to fix. Meanwhile Keithing stays on the sidelines building his strength.... gonk I'm the owner and I only made it into this post once. On a side note, this reminds me of a great poster my dad has: "Gulf Wars: Episode II: The Phantom Menace" JoVo EDIT: It's not so bad. I'm hated by everyone because I keep trying to exert unilateral military control over the entire world. crying That's uncomfortably close to the truth.

CraftyUnicorn Invisible Monsters Wait, France? Why am I France? And why is that perfect? xp Well, for starters, you're a total snob. Secondly, you'd back down if my cat challenged you to a fight. Thirdly... two should be enough 3nodding Oh yeah. sweatdrop I wouldn't be a snob if I wasn't better than everyone else.

Since I'm as anti-militarianism and more socialist than communist, I will defect to Canada. You see that cargo ship on the horizon? I'm in the fifth crate to the right between the bags of MSG and and shipment of dragonfruit. Unless there's a infectious carrier insect or disease hiding somewhere I expect to make it to Vancouver in two hours.

CraftyUnicorn Secondly, you'd back down if my cat challenged you to a fight. Thirdly... two should be enough 3nodding She makes an excellent point. Vague It wasn't a secret, I just didn't want to make a big deal of it here and have you feel that I was dressing you down in front of the guild. I didn't think that. I went on a rampage, and you make an executive decision. One I might have made myself. No hard feelings. 3nodding Vague gonk I'm the owner and I only made it into this post once. Yeah, and I gave you Nicaragua. I was trying to draw out the Latino in you. Hell, Astri got Korea, so you shouldn't feel bad. Vague JoVo EDIT: It's not so bad. I'm hated by everyone because I keep trying to exert unilateral military control over the entire world. crying That's uncomfortably close to the truth. Which is why I thought I'd be perfect as the United States. wink Keithing I'm... more socialist than communist So's China. wink [Q] You can't be Canada, because at that time Canada is France. JoVo Keithing I'm... more socialist than communist So's China. wink I'm talking about historically. Slaughtering more people than Stalin or Hitler for a Communist government isn't exactly my idea of a country with a socialist reputation. They took my family farm, dammit, and they damn near killed my paternal grandmother for it. JoVo [Q] You can't be Canada, because at that time Canada is France. Isn't it? We kind of skipped this part in US History... gonk Canada actually fought in WWII. ninja *smack!* Yes, for once we actually did it voluntarily unlike WWI, where we went as part of the British Empire. We ended up being treated as cannon fodder, and mixed in with the British for that one. WWII we went of our own accord.

They took my family farm, dammit, and they damn near killed my paternal grandmother for it. Well, it's certainly no saint. At least there's some semblance of order. My family farm was also taken away, and most of my grandfather's family was massacred. Not by the Chinese, of course, but you get this sort of stuff in any developing country, especially when liberal philosophies in the West have led us to become far more critical of such behavior (much to the "Asian Values" supporters' chagrin).

Asian values. As a Chinese person, with direct news from China and Hong Kong, I get the stories most of the rest of the world doesn't hear about until much later. Like SARS I knew about almost half a month before it arrived in Canada. Avian flu has several strains, one of which appeared in Hong Kong as early as the late 90s. I get to hear about all about the twists, cover-ups, and down-right dishonesty that flows out from there.
If by order, you mean an economic center like Hong Kong protesting it's own government periodically and annually, in order to defend that same right to protest right to protest, on a civic holiday that ironically celebrates their repatriation to China. Extreme dissatisfaction with the way things are being run as a whole. Unprecedented numbers of AIDS cases stemming from a government-run blood buying operation being covered up. Nepotism. If your assessment included those things then I would whole-heartedly agree. So much of their order is so superficial.

Actually, I did include that. I also included earlier examples of Chinese "order," such as the debacle at Tiananmen Square, continued harrassment of the ROC, and so many others. I don't think highly of order, Keithing.
