bite-me14 `Chloe Sullivan` A lot of people who watch the show religiously ARE able to capture the characters a lot of the time. I think you would be surprised if you actually were showed some quality Fan Fic. *nods* agreed! and when they don't they warn. Lex is soo hard to do right, but surprisingly most people can do it, and even if they don't it's still a good story.
A lot of intelligent people, who do a lot of reading and UNDERSTAND what he is saying, surprisingly people actually don't grab the concept of everything he says because he speaks so formally, something that I personally don't think the average society actually takes the time to respect, so people think that he is uptight and boring. So I think that a lot of people who DON"T actually grab the concept understand his character exactly which makes his character a lot harder to capture then a lot of the other characters. Plus Lex ALWAYS has something new up his sleeves, and he has so many idiosyncrasies and such that people don't take the time to capture the true essence and detail of his character.

I think the fact that Lex is a very intelligent person as well is a reason a lot of people have difficulty characterising him because - not to be insulting but frankly - they have no experience with that.

But Zach, I'm not sure you DO get him. Because otherwise if you DID get him, you most likely would not hate his character as much as you do.
