Adrina looked at the creature. "Strange." She murmured. "but very awe-inspiring."
"Awe-inspiring?" Alec repeated. "more like fear-inspiring."
Adrina glared. "Nobody asked you."

"You may resume your conversations," the High Mistress spoke to the crowd, "You do not have to remain silent for us," she said with a raised eyebrow and a wry smile curling her lips, while Kiersvar gave voice to a throaty chuckle. The conversation resumed, if a little hesitant at first, but soon reaching their previous levels, almost as if they had never been interrupted.
Dan, already a nervous wreck, nearly jumped out his skin when the High Mistress and Keirsvar began to walk towards them.
Finally arriving at their side, the High Mistress said,"I see that my two apprentices have found some companions. Who all might you be?"
"My... my name is Valora," Valora replied, thoroughly humbled by the presence of Kiersvar. Which is understandable, considering that Kiersvar was at the very least twice the size of a large horse.

Amara straightened up, regaining her composure almost immediately, and curtsied to the High Mistress and Keirsvar. This was rather difficult, seeing as the little girl Vian was still clinging tightly to her skirts, peering timorously around Amara's knees at the High Mistress and at the towering Eifinn. "Good evening, Mademoiselle and Monsieur. My name is Amara "Iris" Altan, of the Celestial Clan Mages," she said politely, determined to make a good first impression despite having embarrassed herself by running into the wine-carrying servant. "And zis is Vian, and my clan brozers and sisters." Amara gestured behind her to the other young mages, who bowed and curtsied respectively.
Glancing sideways at Dan, it was all Amara could do to suppress a laugh at the jumpiness of the boy whom the High Mistress had addressed as one of her apprentices. She gave him a warm smile and then turned to the girl who had introduced herself as Valora.
'From ze looks of 'er, she would likely be a fighter,' she thought to herself. Amara had met a small band of fighters in the forest two days before; they certainly seemed better people than the knights, who she was not very fond of as of yet.

"Apprentices?" Alex repeated. "if that is true, I owe you an appoplgy." He smiled. "but I owe a lot of people a lot of things, which I never intend to give." He joked, then turned to the High Mistress. "Good evening, great lady, and great...um" he tried to think of an un-offending way to address Kiersvar. "sir." He decided. "I am Aleccandoran of Clamestra, and am honored to meet both of you."
Adrina stifled a laugh at Alec's cockyness, and curtsied, but said nothing, still rather shocked by the Eifinn.

The High mistress moved on, Kiersvar following. Alec turned to the group. "Anyone seen the eccentric king of this place?" he inquired. "I'm supposed to speak to him about the Untamed Islands."

"The king? More like a scatter-brained nit-wit. If anyone does the ruling around here, it's the heads of the wizarding universities," Dan said, extremely outspoken from his usual demeanor. A few moments latter, he turned a bit green, finally realizing what he had just said.

Alec claped Dan on the back. "Couldn't have said it beter myself." he agreed. "But, all the same, Father needs his premission before he sends a diplomat group across Kaledir to the Untamed Islands."
"What diplomacy group?" Adrina asked.
A grim smile turned Alecs lips. "Why me, of course. Did you think my father would trust this to anyone else?" He dropped his over-confidant tone at a look from his cousin. "Really, I think he wants me to die, being his heir and all, so my b*****d half-brother can take the throne instead. The Gods know he'd do much better than me."
