Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
"After how my mum treated them, I doubt you could do anything to make them hate you," Damien whispers in her ear.

"Not at all, dear," Alasseo says, motioning them into the room when she lets go of Rhiannon's hand. She walks over her own volition, something she couldn't do when she first entered Lenore's life, toward the table. "Have a seat, please," she says. "Rinon will have the tea on the table in a moment."

Damien gives Rhiannon's shoulder a reassuring squeeze before heading to the table.

The stop didn't last too long, only about half an hour. During this space of time, Rinon asked about Damien's trip to Greece, and then turned his attention to Rhiannon, asking about her family and friends. Her hobies, her favorite music, all sorts of things. Alasseo mostly listened quietly and sipped her tea.

Once they are out of the home, Damien smiles sheepishly. "I hope that wasn't too overwhelming," he says. "If you want, we can skip the centaurs, leave them for another time. There are far more of them than there was in the house."

Quote:
'It was okay. Really,' she reached out and stroked his face.
'Just a little bit new for me. I really didnt want to disgrace you,' she said.
'Trying to get rid of me huh?' Rhiannon teased at last comment.

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Damien blinks, not realizing what her meeting more of his family might mean. "Well, I certainly didn't mean for that to feel like a test," he starts. "I just meant to show you little bits of the culture around the manor."

Then, he pokes her nose. "No, I'm not trying to get rid of you. I am being the gracious host, giving my guest a way out of an uncomfortable situation," he holds his head up in a snobbish way, the teasing in his eyes. "But, since you seem to be too strong-willed to take it, you are stuck with me, and the centaurs," he adds.

Quote:
'I am enjoying myself honest.' she grinned, snapping her teeth at his finger.
'Oh I see - gracious host huh?' Rhiannon giggled, sliding a hand over his chest and moving so that she was pressed against him.
'I can think of better ways for you to be good to this guest.'

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Damien's flushes crimson as he tenses a little. Forcing his muscles to relax, he blinks once, and ask - in a voice he doesn't recognize as his own - "And what would those ways be? Because, you know, a host must please their guest, or they never return. . . ." he says.

Quote:
'Oh nothing that you wont like.'
Rhiannon moved the hand, running it around his neck and tangling her fingers in his hair. Her other hand went round his back, resting into the small of it.
'Just kissing. I dont think...its too soon for anything more,' she smiled faintly, tilting her head up to his.
'But I think I can live with 'just kissing',' she brushed her lips against his teasingly.

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Damien smiles a little against her teasing lips. "That, I think, I can provide," he says, pushing back any thoughts of what 'anything more' might be. His arms are around her in an instant, and his lips pressed against hers again. He's had quite a bit of practice recently, but he still feels a little clumsy.

Which causes him to blush again. Mentally, her curses Lenore's side of the gene pool. . . .

Quote:
She sighed softly as they kissed. Each time wiped out the one before. She just loved how this felt! She deepened the kiss, even being so bold as to lightly dart the tip of her tongue against his lips. When she ran out of breath she broke away. Her fingers were still in is hair and she gently stroked it, letting the strands fall away.
'I'll take your lips with me when I leave,' she grinned.

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Damien has to laugh. After the intensity of the kiss, she had to go and say something completely amusing. He looks at Rhiannon, his sea-green eyes dancing, the corners of them crinkling. "Is that the only part of me you like?" he teases, wrapping a strand of her hair around one of his fingers. He feels a little breathless, wondering if this feeling is kind of what the movies always try to convey. Sometimes, it seems a bit more intense than the actors can fake. . . . "I'll get replicas made for you, if that is the case," he adds, humor keepng the laughter in his voice.

Quote:
'Oh no,' she shook her head.
'I like everything about you...that I've seen' she said the last bit quietly, her eyes twinkling. She unravelled her fingers from his hair and slid the hand downwards, resting it on his bottom.
'This is nice to,' Rhiannon grinned, wondering how he would take her bold move.

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Good Goddess, please give me the strength . . . He prays, and tenses a little when he feels the damned sensation in his gut again. You have forsaken me. . . .

His usual blush seems to travel down his neck now, and he closes his eyes a moment. It's his bum! Not even that close to . . . that! He is starting to hate his body. . . . "Uuuh," he says, articulately. He clears his throat again, and absently reaches up a hand to brush the hair out of his face. "Thank you."

Quote:
'I'm sorry Damien,' she said contritely, moving the hand up and resting it on his back.
'I dont mean to embarrass you. I just...well I lose my head when I'm in your arms,' she laid her head against his chest, listening to his heart a moment.

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
"You needn't appologize for something neither of us, it seems, can control," Damien says. "You didn't embarass me, anyway." His lifts his hand to stroke her hair. "So, stop appologizing," he scolds, playfully.

Quote:
She nodded, her cheek grazing the material of his shirt.
'Sorry,' she deadpanned, then giggled, looking up at him again.
'There is something I want to ask. But I'm not sure how - what you'll say. How you'll take it.' Rhiannon pretended to be fiddling with an invisble thread on his shirt.

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Damien blinks once, and looks down at Rhiannon. "What is it?"

Quote:
'I want to know..' Rhiannon chewed on her lower lip, trying to work out how to phrase it.
'If there is anything - do you have feelings for Tinania? Remember you said you were afraid that something would come back and bite you in the butt. Well thats my huge fear. That..' she bit harder into her lip, snicking the skin and making it bleed. She tasted copper.
'That you - and her..and.' she sighed.

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Damien bites his own lips. He hasn't disected his own feelings toward Tinania. He is sure that it isn't anything more than friendship, even if they have kissed. . . .

He decides to be honest. "Rhiannon, I have no idea about anything, when it comes to me and 'Nani," he starts. "The only thing I know for certain when it comes to her is that she likes me," he adds. "And, I like you, I already told you that," he smiles a little at that.

Quote:
She wanted to know whether or not if Tinania pressed the point would he react in kind - but he probably wouldnt answer that either. She wiped her mouth with a tissue from her pocket, tucking it away again.
'I know,' she said, reaching and stroking his cheek.
'I'm just...afraid.'
And that was the honest truth for her too. This - whatever it was, was somehow more frightening then when she had been attacked by a werewolf hunter!

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Damien leans his cheek into her hand a moment before nodding. "I think I understand," he says. "This is all pretty new, and scary, to me too. We'll both just have to wing it, then?" he asks, managing a small smile.

Quote:
Rhiannon nodded;
'I know. I guess - I know a good thing when I see it,' she winked playfully.
'And I dont like to let good things slip out of my reach,' she kissed his nose tip.
'Soo - what do you want to do now?' she asked.

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
"That's a good thing," Damien said, kissing her forehead in turn.

"And, I'll leave what we are to do next up to you," he replies. "We still have a lot of exploring to do, if you like. Whatever you want to do."

Quote:
'Oh thats riiiight,' she sing-songed her words.
'I'm the guest.'
Rhiannon giggled, running her hands down his side and tickling with his fingers before letting him go. She skipped away from him and then turned back and looked over her shoulder at him.
'I know - is there anywhere private around here? Like the lake at my place. I want to relax with you somewhere quiet.'

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Damien yelps when she tickles him, and bends over, crossing his arms over hs stomach protectively.

He is soon clearing his throat and standing straight again, his arms still crossed over him. "I'm sure there is, we'd just have to do some wandering," he says, looking around. "I don't really know that forest very well," he repeats, his smile appologetic. "If we go deeper into the forest, I am sure there will be someplave nice. Ah, follow me, if you dare," he says with a chuckle, and starts to walk back to the trail.

Quote:
'Sure,' she grinned, her eyes alight with mischief.
'I will follow your bu..you where ever you wish to lead me,' Rhiannon went after him, enjoying the view for a bit before coming level with him and grabbing his hand.

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Damien raises an eyebrow at Rhiannon, but he curls his fingers over her hand. "Just, if you see something of the forest that looks a little sinister, we've gone too far off track. . . " He grins at her, despite the darkness of the subjecy. "The forest isn't too safe. There are vampires and all sorts of things in the darker areas of it. We just need to be careful."

He continues walking down the path, toward a clearing. The sin can be seen brighter up ahead. "Maybe we are getting closer to seclusion?" he says, smiling again and Rhiannon.

Quote:
'I might be able to hold my own against most things,' she grinned, flashing her canines. She squeezed his hand.
'I just wanted a few moments away from all the many people you know,' she chuckled softly.
'Its not like I could suggest your bedroom after all.'
Rhiannon looked ahead of them. It seemed peaceful enough. The sounds were fading and she felt a little more relaxed.

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
"I don't know many people," Damien says, shaking his head a little. "My family is just rather large, which cannot be helped," he chuckles.

Then, both his eyebrows raise and he grins. "If you wanted to go back to the manor, all you needed to do was tell me," he replies. "But, we're nearly to the clearing," he adds, gesturing toward the opening inthe trees with his free hand.

Quote:
'Well I know you cant help that,' she said, keeping her strides level with his.
'Oh now you tell me!' she exclaimed, grinning.
'But - I dunno if its such a good idea. Beds are too tempting.' she said slyly.

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
"Yes, beds are a bit tempting," Damien flashes a grin at Rhiannon again. "I mean, after all, one would just want to fall onto it and sleep," he says, innocently. It is hard to determine whether he is being serious or not. . . .

"And, here we are," he says, stepping into the clearing. "Ah, it isn't much to look at, but, I think that is a little river I see off in the distance, if you want to cool off," he says, shielding his eyes as he looks over at the little sliver of blue in the green grass.

Rhiannon kicked off her shoes and tugged her socks off as soon as she saw the water, letting go of Damiens hand and running into it.
'Ooooo cold!' she called. The water was cold compared to how warm her feet had gotten with their tramping about the place and a shiver ran over her body. She waited for him to come over before she said anything else.

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Damien watches Rhiannon run toward the river. Smiling, he walks quickly toward it, not one to really run. When he is at the edge, he strips off his boots and socks, takes the time to fold them neatly and place them into his shoes, before he sticks his own bare feet into the water.

He winces a little at the icy sensation of the water on his own hot feet. He smiles slightly. "I should have heeded your warning," he says, shivering a little as he grows accustomed to the water. He plops down on the bank of the river, and plucks at his vest a moment. "Quiet enough?" he asks, as he looks around.

Quote:
She nodded, flicking water with her toes at him before joining him on the bank.
'Its beautiful here,' she sighed.
Rhiannon giggled to herself at his earlier comment.
'Damien - you do know I wasnt talking about sleeping right?' she looked at him from the corner of her eyes.

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
"That it is," Damien agrees.

Then, he moves his eyes back to Rhiannon, and tilts his head to the side. "Then, whatever were you talking about?" he asks, again his tone making it hard to determine whether he is joking or not.

Quote:
Rhiannon blushed a little; for some reason it was harder to talk about this the more their relationship was progressing.
'Umm. Well. Intimate stuff. Like between two close people,' she said, wriggling her toes around under the water.

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Damien blinks. "More kissing, then?" he nods, smiling a little.

That's where his mind went, anyway.

"We can do that out here, too," he adds.

Quote:
Rhiannon laughed.
'Yeah kissing is one of the things,' she scooted over and linked arms with Damien, leaning against him. She wriggled her toes over and rubbed her wet foot on one of his.

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Damien smiles and does the same with his foot. He rests his head on hers before saying, "Well, I'll leave it at that, then. You seem to have a hard time talking about whatever else it is that close people do," he chuckles.

He watches as a fish swims, letting the current help it along. "Fish," he comments, seeing another swim by. He's feeling really lazy now, and feels his eyelids drooping.

Quote:
'I'm worried if I do say it you'll blush so much that the rush of blood will make you faint or something,' she teased back. She watched the fish swim by.
'Yes its a fish. Sleepyhead,' Rhiannon said affectionately.

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
"I couldn't blush enough to faint. . . . could I?" he asks, then nudges her a little. "And, I can't help it. I guess my lack of sleep the night before is catching up to me. I can still be the dutiful host, though," he adds, girning again.

Quote:
'Oh why couldnt you sleep?' she asked.
'Well I dont knoooow. You do go awfully red,' she teased him some more, snuggling against him. So they were only out here kissing and hugging. She could live with that. She let out a little sigh of happiness.

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
"I don't know. The music in the palace was very loud," Damien says, and closes his eyes. "Besides, I was a little worried about today. I didn't know what we were going to do. . . ." he shrugs.

Then, he blushes again. "Well, maybe I could faint. Just. . . . don't ever feel you can't tell me something. Even if it will kill me," he chuckles.

Quote:
She laughed at that, covering for her feelings. There was that something she wanted to tell him but she darent.
'Well we seem to be doing ok,' she turned her head, brushing her lips against his cheek.
'Not boring you am I?' she grinned.

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Damien hugs her close, eyes still closed. "We're doing fine," he says, the smile playing on the corners of his lips. "And, you aren't boring me. You are extremely . . . comfy," he chuckles, the sound staying in his throat. "But, if we don't start out walking again, I might fall asleep. . . ." he adds dreamily.

Quote:
'Oh I'm comfy am I?'
Apparently Rhiannon was a pillow.
'I'll wake you up if you like,' she grinned before moving a little, tilting his face up towards hers and brushing her lips against his.

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
His eyes snap open a moment, before he smiles and leans into the kiss. His arms are around her again.

When the kiss is finished, he leans back, but keeps his arms around Rhi. "I am awake now," he grins again, running his fingers through her hair. "What next, dear, honored guest?"

Quote:
'See now your just teasing me again,' she mock-pouted, pushing her bottom lip out before dissolving into giggles. It was really no good. She couldnt be serious around him - and her resolve was melting away also. Rhiannon just stared into his eyes, noticing the little flecks of colour, her hand moving through his hair even as he carressed her own.

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Damien tilts his head, his eyes staying on Rhiannon's. "How am I teasing you?" he asks in a soft voice, unable to bring himself to speak any louder than that. His fingers still run through her hair as he continues to just keep eye contact, barely blinking.

Quote:
'Well..' Rhiannon started.
'Its just. Everytime you bring up the guest thing I have to control myself. Because. I like what I see.' a tiny blush spread on her cheeks. She felt the heat building within her again as he stared back. His fingers in her hair didnt feel soothing right now. They felt - something else. It was a connection. Skin on skin. She laid a hand on his chest. Want him growled the tiny feral voice within.

Quote:
(rp carried on in AIM for a bit due to Gaia being a git to Lenore XD )

Damien: Damien's response is a blush of his own that throttles Rhi's rather modest one into the ground. Before he can stop himself, he says, "Weren't you the one that said something along the lines of siezing the moments, before they pass you by?" Once he realizes what he said, he is blinking in mild shock.

Rhiannon: 'But you see..' she leaned in, planting tiny soft kisses in a trail along his jaw line up to his hair which she brushed back. She lightly tugged on his earlobe with her teeth, before leaving it and trailing more kisses down his neck. She kissed at his nape and panted a little;
'I dont think you're ready. I think its too early - for both of us.' she kissed back up to his face and looked at him.

Damien: Damien's muscles don't tense this time when he feels the fluttering in his gut. He's too familiar with it by now.

But . . . The. Ear. An elf's ultimate 'spot.' Perhaps it is the lack of blood circulating to his brain, but when Rhiannon looks back up at him, he places both of his hands on her cheeks, and dips forward to kiss her, rather heatedly, if a bit clumsy.

His hands wanders down her cheeks, to her neck, then her arms, then to rest on her hips, his gentle-manly nature at least keeping them in check . . . . .

Rhiannon: Rhiannon shifted, feeling uncomfortably warm. She returned his kiss, gently tugging on his bottom lip, trying to ignore the fire he was igniting by his hands benig on her hips. It was silly - but they were closer to that place then ever before. She wondered what of what she had just done had lit his burner, maybe the ear? She slid a hand onto his face, running it round his ear, a finger gently stroking the edge of his ear, whilst one did the same just behind, softly teasing the little area where his ear met his head.

Damien: Damien's feels his muscles tingle as she caresses his ear. He feels oddly as though he is. . . . melting? Dying? But in a good way. . . .

All thought is lost now, even as he is painfully aware that he has no idea what he is doing. He just senses that he is still kissing her, actively seeking to deepen the kiss, as his hands move to the small over her back, and a little lower, gently trying to . . . nudge her into his lap.

Rhiannon: Definately the ear, she thought to herself, as his hands shifted. Her fingers stayed under his hair, softly stroking his ear - she shifted, sliding her legs so that she was straddling his kind of, her feet dripping water a little. She slid neatly on his lap, pulling her lips away from him a little so that she could grin at him.
'You have me now,' she purred, her voice throaty.

Damien: When Rhiannon pulls away, the haze over his mind clears . . . even if just a bit. The glassy quality of his eyes is apparent as he takes a moment to lift his lids and look at Rhiannon's again.

Even as the little voice in his head is telling him that this is probably way wrong, he dips his head to n** at Rhiannon's neck, before mimicing her movements from before, and trails kisses to her collarbone. He takes a moment to n** there as well, before his lips seek out hers again. His hands roam a bit more, moving to her stomach, lightly running over her sides, her back. He doesn't dare let them go anywhere else. . . .

Rhiannon: 'Damien..' she managed to say, as he kissed along her neck. His lips there made her shiver in a good way, and his moving hands that went near but didnt quite go near enough were a torment. She shifted on his lap, and her hands went down his back. The little feral voice inside her was shouting now but she tried to ignore it.

Damien: Damien manages to pulls back at the mention of his name, hands resting back on Rhiannon's hip. The fact is, the seat shifting is clouding his brain more. . . . "Hmmm?" he manages, in a voice that is not entirely one that he recognizes. . .

Rhiannon: 'I .. this is..'
Yup she couldnt even bring herself to make sense right now. It was exactly like when Kate had seduced her. Only better. And they still had clothes on! She felt like she had an all-over itch.
'You are teasing me with those hands,' she grinned, finding his ear again with her fingers and attacking his lips with hers. She pulled away again.

Damien: Damien actually shivers when her fingers find his ear again. As soon as she pulls away again, he says, "Then . . . show me what you want," the voice still not one he recognizes, though the tone is serious.

The little voice of reason in his head has huffed into silence. . .

Rhiannon: 'Oh really?' she ran a hand down one of his arms and took his hand. She held it to her face and kissed the back of it. Then she rested it against the curve of one breast.
'Well - this is a start..' Rhiannon looked at him, wondering what his reaction would be to her boldness.

Damien: Damien's response is to . . . let his hand stay there a moment, as he, of course, flushes a charming shade of pink. Then, his hand and fingers seem to grow a mind of their own, and he is soon caressing.

He glances at Rhi a moment, to gauge her reaction, before leaning forward to kiss her neck again.

Quote:
Well he hadnt moved his hand away..but a moment later Rhiannon decided that whilst it wasnt a bad thing it probably wasnt going to help how she felt. Her lips parted and a little moan of longing slipped out. She placed her hand on top of the one at her breast and stilled its movement;
'Not..a good idea,' she managed to say.

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Damien is a little too curious, and has a brain far too muddled, to be embarassed right now. So, when he pulls back, he tilts his head a little, willing back his blush. "Why?" he asks, his voice barely above a whisper. It seems that is as loud as it will go right now.

Quote:
'Its just not..' she mumbled, managing to focus on his face. She leaned in, her lips going near one of his ears and she breathed;
'Your turning me on and its too soon for that,' she moved away again, her mouth brushing his ear as she did so.
'I think maybe we should cool down,' she said reluctantly, not looking at him.

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Damien flushes a dark red, but he refuses to sound or look any more embarassed than he really is.

Keeping his voice light, he says in a soft voice, "You hold the reigns, and I respect your feelings." He pauses a moment. "Perhaps it is a little too soon," he manages a smile, even though he is really, really embarassed by how he behaved. . . .

Quote:
'Perhaps?' Rhiannon picked up on that immediately and grinned at him.
'Its just,' she shifted a little on his lap, reaching for the ends of his hair and fiddling with it.
'We only just started down this...road,' she frowned but couldnt think of a better way of putting it.
'And I dont want to make you run away from me by being too forward.'

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Damien ignores Rhi shifting in his lap, and manages a genuine smile. "Yes, perhaps," he says. "And, that is all I have to say on that matter," he chuckles.

"But," he places a finger under her chin. "Don't be afraid to be yourself in front of me. You are a forward person, sometimes blunt. But, that is what I like about you. Besides, you don't see me running, yet, do you?" The word 'yet' is said in a playful tone, noting that he really has no plans on running, anyway.

Quote:
'Teaser,' Rhiannon smiled a little, and then fell silent when he tilted her head up. A little blush began on her cheeks and she smiled at him; her heart was singing a little - he liked what she thought were her faults! Then she socked him lightly in the arm.
'Bah!' she tried to sound miffed but the silly grin was still planted on her face from his charming comments.
'Not like you could whilst I'm perched on your lap anyways.' she stated.

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
"Ow!" Damien says, feigning pain. "You don't know your own strength!" he rubs his arm, in character but for the smile on his lips.

"And, if I really wanted to run, I am quite sure that I could get you off of my lap without manhandling you too much," he teases. He goes to poke her nose, and in an act of silliness he did not know he was entirely capable of, he sticks his tongue out at Rhiannon. "But, I rather like you where you are. Despite the fact that my legs are falling asleep," he teases.

Quote:
Rhiannon made a snatching motion as his tongue peeked out;
'You could huh?' she winked at him, then grinned.
'Oh but why didnt you say!' she exclaimed and shifting a leg she reached and rubbed his thigh, twisting a little.
'I'll wake them up.' she said, running her fingers along his leg.

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Damien's eye widen a little as she starts to rub his leg. "I think they are awake," he says, his voice cracking in one of his painful moments of puberty. He clears his throat and tries to look anywhere but at Rhi, trying to pretend she isn't doing what she is doing.

Searching for anything to take his mind off of things - he's afraid of what he might do should he not - he fails. "Uh," he manages in a lame voice.

Quote:
She worked her fingers on his leg, enjoying the feel of his muscles under his clothes, her hand straying closer to the top of his leg - then stopped and blinked, realising what she was doing.
'Umm...' she chewed on a fingernail and looked at him with a smile at the corner of her mouth.
'Sorry.'

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Damien lets out the breath he did not know he was holding. "It's fine," he says. "It's not like I wasn't enjoying it," he blurts. He doesn't turn red, this time, thankfully. He's still trying to pull his brain back into his head. At this point, he probably would have teased Rhiannon, but he is not mentally there.

Quote:
Rhiannon nodded, running her hands over his chest and wrapping them behind his neck. She kissed his cheek, moving to his ear and gently pulled on the lobe with her lips. Then she moved so that she could look into his face again.
'Oh Damien.' she said.
'You know I'm being a very good girl here.' she grinned.
'This restraining yourself stuff isnt easy with you around.'

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
When she is done assualting his ear, Damien's mind starts to focus again. In a teasing voice, he says, "I'd hate to see how you were if you weren't restraining yourself," at that, he lightly kisses her lips. "But, you aren't exactly making it easy for me, either," he states, still teasing her.

Quote:
'I'm not huh?' she brushed her nosetip against his. At some point she realised that they would have to get up again. She didnt even know what time it was. All she knew was that being with him again was just, if not more pleasant then the last time. Rhiannon felt that had fallen deeply into..the 'L' word with him. She didnt even want to think the word let alone say it out loud yet though. Her hand slid up his arm, going to his face and tracing along his jawline again.

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Damien smiles a little sheepishly. "No, you aren't," he says softly. He reaches up to stroke her hair. "So, if we don't get moving again, I am afraid of what we both might do," he adds. He glances up at the sky, watching the dark clouds roll in. "And, it looks as though it might rain soon," he chuckles.

He says all of this to ignore complex feelings, and thoughts, in himself. He'll deal with them later, when he has time to be alone in his room with his journal.

Quote:
'You're probably right,' she conceded, standing slowly as her legs had become stiff from sitting on him so long. She stretched, arching her back and looking up at the sky. Rhiannon sniffed the air.
'It smells like rain.' she said, looking at him.
'Should we head back to your house?'

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
"I think so," Damien says, standing. He kicks his legs out a little, to get the stiffness out. "Unless you want to be rained on," he smiles, and starts to head to the basket. "It shouldn't take too long to get back to the manor, now that I pretty much know the way," he chukles as he picks up the basket.

When he returns to Rhiannon, he offers her one of his arms. "Shall we?" he asks.

Quote:
She nodded, squeezing his arm as she hooked hers around it.
'Thank you sir,' she teased gently, letting him lead her back to his house. The air had cooled, but being with him made her feel warm still.

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
"You're quite welcome, my lady," Damien inclines his head as he leads her toward the manor.

When they finally reach the manor, the sun is starting to set. He sighs when they reach the kooi pond again. It will be dinner time soon.

"I would love to hang out again with you, sometime soon," Damien starts, glancing over at Rhiannon. "If you agree to it, of course," he says in a light tone, still unsure of himself.

Quote:
Rhiannon nodded, realising that the day had flown past and they were once again at the bit she was beginning to hate. She kicked the ground, looking at her feet.
'I really would like that,' she said, feeling a prickling in her eyes. Oh this was silly! She would see him soon after all and she brought her head up and forced a smile for him.
'You'll have to come to mine again? See my room,' she suggested with a little grin.

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
"It's a date," Damien says, not even realizing what he said, but smiling anyway. He looks over at the manor a moment, watching the lights start to come on.

He looks back at Rhi, putting a hand on her cheek before leaning in to kiss her lightly again. "I'd better go. I'll walk you to the gate, though."

Quote:
'Damien I lo..' she started to say before he leaned in and kissed her. She kissed him back then nodded.
'ved it here..' she changed it to, losing her nerve again.
'Thank you for inviting me over,' she said as they walked to his gate.

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Damien chuckles. "I'm glad you came, you're always welcome here," he says. When they reach the gate, he opens it for her, and leans against it a little. "I'll be around in a few days, if that is agreeable? Maybe next week?"

Quote:
She nodded again, leaning over towards him and kissing him goodbye.
'I cant wait,' she grinned and winked.
'Take care!' she said as she walked away, blowing him a cheeky kiss as she left.

Dear Diary,

Well I dont know where to begin really; the day I spent at Damien's was for lack of a better expression heavenly. Is it possible to fall so hard for someone so soon? I hope it is because I want this to be a true feeling. It feels different from what I experienced with Kate, and unlike Cyrus my feelings are to a degree reciprocated.
I miss him even now and its only the day after I last saw him!

On to something slightly less good; I didnt get into Somonen Academy. Not sure if I'm upset or not about it. I wasnt too sure if I wanted to go or not...but what if my friends got in? I'm not even sure if any of them applied, and it didnt occur to me to ask Damien about it.

Damien Casnes
Damien walks, head down and face curtained by his loose hair, toward Rhi's house. He doesn't know just how he is going to tell her he is leaving for months. Actually, now that he thinks about it, he really doesn't want to leave anymore. A great opportunity or not. . . .

Sighing when he reaches the door, he knocks, waiting patiently for Rhi, or whomever, to open the door. As he waits, he thinks over just how he is going to phrase what he needs to.

Quote:
'Coming coming!' Rhiannon yelled. She had literally just stepped out of the shower when she heard the knock at the front door and hastily wrapping a towel around herself she padded swiftly downstairs and along the hallway, leaving wet footprints, her hair dripping down her back. Just her luck that her parents were both out, she mumbled, flicking the catch and opening the door. She gasped, her cheeks flushing bright red and she fumbled with her towel, clinging onto it and trying to make it look decent.

Damien Casnes
Damien's eyebrows wing up, and he turns his back. "Ah," he says. "Have I come at a bad time? I can wait out here if you need to . . . erm, dress, or something?" The only sigh, other than a stiff back, that he is a bit embarassed, are the red tips if his pointed ears.

Quote:
Rhiannon shook her head, giggling at him. She held onto the towel with a hand and tugged him with her free one.
'Come inside and wait in the living room,' she said.
'I'll go...y'know put clothes on.' she pattered off, giggling as she went, leaving him to shut the door.
'Its just down the hall!' she called over her shoulder before she disappeared towards her room to dress.

Damien Casnes
Damien closes the door, keeping his eyes off of Rhi as she walks off. Once that little task is done, he goes to the living room, and sits gingerly on the couch. He folds his hands in his lap and waits for Rhiannon to come back.

Quote:
Rhiannon came back in, dressed in the first things that had come to hand; cut-off denim shorts and a baggy tee that was her dads and slipped off one shoulder. She smiled, rubbing her hair in a towel and sat down on the couch next to him, one leg folded underneath herself.
'Sorry about that,' she said, folding the towel and letting her tousled hair alone. She giggled.

Damien Casnes
"It's fine, I didn't tell you when I was coming," Damien tries a smile, he really does, but it sort of . . . fails.

He runs his fingers through his hair and takes a moment to look around. "Ah, I need to tell you something," he starts. "I don't think you're going to like it too much. Well, I don't like it too much anymore. That's besides the point. Ah, rhaich," he stops talking when he realizes he is rambling.

Quote:
She put the towel down next to her, and then folded her hands on her lap. Then fidgeted before speaking.
'Tell me?' she swallowed. What was it? Was he not allowed to see her anymore? Did he regret what had happened last time they were together? Thoughts whirled in her head and chewed on her bottom lip before speaking again.
'What..' her voice cracked a little and she coughed.
'What do you need to tell me?'

Damien Casnes
"Uh, I don't know if you have heard of the Somonen Academy or not," Damien starts. "But, I applied, and they accpeted me. I am going to be gone for a few months," he says, looking at the wall with great interest. If her reaction to them parting ways when they know they will see each other soon is any indication, Damien is going to have to brace himself. . . . Maybe. . . .?

Quote:
'Oh..' she said in a tiny voice. She wasnt even going to tell him that she had applied as well. It was bad enough she hadnt gotten in but now...She pulled her other leg up, tucking her feet on the edge of the couch and hugging her knees. Rhiannon tried not to cry. It wasnt like it was forever - it just seemed like she'd found a good thing and now it was leaving her. She hid her face behind her drying hair.

Damien Casnes
Damien chances a glance at Rhiannon, and scoots a bit closer to her on the couch. "I can have visitors," he starts. "Nyoka can get you up there, if you need to," he continues. "And, we can write each other. I won't be gone too long. Before you know it, I will be back," And, you'll probably have forgotten all about me, he thinks, though he finds himself wondering just why that matters so much all of the sudden.

Sayuri_Nitta
She sniffed, feeling thoroughly silly for being so upset. Its not like he had said he loved her right? She managed to look at him, and then wrapped her arms around him;
'But but..'
She wanted to say 'what if you forget about me and meet someone else?'. But it wasnt something she felt she could ask to early in their relationship.

Damien Casnes
Damien moves his hand to cover Rhi's. "Hey," he says. "I wish I wasn't excepted, to be honest. Given new developements. . . ." he mutters the last. His mouth suddenly won't move anymore. He doesn't know what else to say, and Rhi seems to be taking the news a little hard.

"What can I do to make you smile? Melin ceni hin ln sla i 'eladhach."

Quote:
'But..but you'll meet someone there and you'll forget about me and I dont want to not have this,' Rhiannon gestured with her hand pointing at him then herself as she babbled on then fell silent.
'What..what did you just say then? I didnt understand that.'

Damien Casnes
He translates what he said first, not really realizing that he spoke elven. Then, he has to smile a little. He is not the only one worried about that. "Rhiannon, I was thinking the same thing about you," and now he has to chuckle, even if it is half-hearted and soft anyway. "I want to hold on to . . . whatever this is, as long as I can. Believe me, you'll be on my mind quite a bit. So, if I fail out of school, you can blame yourself. . . ." he jokes, not really expecting a laugh or anything. "I'll send you letters as often as I can, just to let you know that what I am saying now is true," he promises.

Quote:
Her heart melted and she did smile then;
'Thats beautiful,' she said softly, playing with his hair.
'If you do fail then I'll make it up to you,' she promised, grinning a little. She fell silent again.
'Damien I'm going to have to tell you this. What I'm going to tell you is what I honestly feel and have for a while. And I cant not. Not when you are so sweet to me. And you say such beautiful things to me.' she flicked her gaze up from her hands to his face.
'I..love you..' she said, then dropped her eyes again.
'And its probably too soon to say it but I couldnt hold it in anymore.'
Rhiannon held her breath..waiting for him to run away, or something worse that she couldnt even think of right now.

Damien Casnes
Damien blinks, nonplussed. He slowly reaches a scaled hand to one of the braids he keeps in his hair, and runs his fingers down it.

Love is a very strong, and more often than not, loaded word. Is that what he feels for Rhiannon, too? That emotion he hasn't quite been able to put his finger on for days now? Or is it something else, entirely? Can he even feel such a strong emotion at his age? Maybe Nyoka is right, and all they feel for each other is lust. . . . Or something along those lines.

A tiny voice in his head reprimands him for overthinking everything, as usual. So, he tries to clear his mind, go with his gut, or his heart, if you will.

"I think it is time for another lesson, nn hiril," Damien starts. "Le melon," he says. "That's how you say what you just told me. I'm sure it cost you something to say, and for that, you gave me the courage to say it in return."

"So," he glances down at the scales on his hands. "I think the question of the hour might be, what do we do with this now?"

Quote:
Rhiannon could not quite believe her ears, she stared, her mouth open a little at him. He loved her to?! She felt a tiny bit faint and pinched the skin on the back of one of her hands - yup she was awake.
'What does that mean..' she whispered.
'The first thing you said?' she asked, a hand snaking onto one of his.
'And what we do now? Well all I know is what I feel. When I'm with you I feel - happy and safe. I think about you often when we are apart. I just..want to be with you. Its that simple.' she said.

Damien Casnes
"Ah, it's just another way to say my lady," Damien explains. Glancing back at Rhiannon when she touches his hand.

He waits for her to finish speaking before nodding. "I know what you mean," he says, still looking at the wall for a bit longer. "So, we go along as we were before. . . ." he says, thinking aloud.

Life just seems to get more complicated by the day. . . .

Quote:
'Well not completely as we were before,' she winked at him, sliding across the couch towards him. She slid her barefoot over his foot, rubbing his ankle and grinning.
'My lady huh? I want something for you.' Rhiannon rested her head on his shoulder, looking at him.
'How do I say 'My lord?' she breathed near his ear. She still had the thought that he was leaving for months to attend a college in her mind but for now she was still high from what he had said to her and just wanted to enjoy his company.

Damien Casnes
"Nn Hi," Damien provides before he says anything else.

The tip of his ear twitched when she spoke next to it, but he ignores it for now. Instead, he puts an arm around her and raises an eyebrow, looking down at her now. "Have things changed, then?" he asks, innocent as ever. Of course, he is all-too new to any of this. He still has a lot to learn.

Quote:
'Well I dont know how much they might have changed,' she reached and ran her fingers through his hair, watching how the strands fell from her hand.
'I was kind of all over you before I admitted my feelings,' Rhiannon grinned sheepishly.
'Nîn Hi' she managed, speaking hesitantly and stumbling a little on her pronounciation.

Damien Casnes
Damien chuckles a little, and meets Rhiannon's eyes. "Yes, poor defenseless me, with no means to keep you off of me," he sighs, feigning weariness. "So, I had to just let you have you way. . . ."

When she speaks the elven he has taught her, he wants to tease her about it. But, she pronounced it all very well, for a novice, and he has an idea that this little thing might be a little important to her. So, best not to poke fun at her. Instead, he says, "You said that very well," and pokes her nose before tightening his arms around her.

Quote:
She bopped him lightly with the knuckles of one hand, tapping his arm.
'Yeah you were really struggling,' Rhiannon rolled her eyes at him, giggling.
'I have a very good teacher,' she nodded, acting solemn.
'He's really handsome as well.' she snuggled into his hold, tilting her head up and brushing her lips lightly on his.

Damien Casnes
"I was!" Damien says. "You didn't see me wiggling, trying to get away?" he teases.

He then chuckles after the light kiss. "Is he, now? I wouldn't know," he replies.

"So, what are we doing today? Do we have a plan?" Damien asks.

Quote:
'Well I thought I would seduce you on this couch...' she winked at him, teasing him. She blushed though.
'Well if I can pull myself off you we could see my room? Its a bit of a mess though,' she frowned.
'You've got an untidy girlfrien..'
She stopped.
'Is it even okay for me to call myself that? I mean - are we y'know,' Rhiannon looked at Damien.
'Are we girlfriend and boyfriend?'

Damien Casnes
Damien blinks a little. He hadn't really thought about it. Wasn't that the most logical step, after what was just said between them?

Rather than answer her question directly, he says, "Well, let's go and see just how untidy my girlfriend is, shall we?"

Quote:
Rhiannon got up, grabbing the still damp towel off the couch and motioned to him with a hand;
'Follow me,' she said, padding down the hall and up the first flight of stairs. She led him into her room. It wasnt too messy, but there were piles of her clothes still on the floor from where she had been having a clothes clearout, and some of it was her underwear.
'Umm,' she gestured.
'This is it.'
The walls were a pale lilac, and the furniture was pine. Her bed-linen was lilac as well, and her bedside table was cluttered with girl stuff; brushes, hair bands, makeup and her journal which she hurriedly stashed away after navigating the cloth piles. She sat on her bed and grinned at him.
'Told you.'

Damien Casnes
Damien looks around, carefully avoiding looking at the clothes piles. "I've seen worse," he says, truthfully, remembering some of the women's rooms in Greece when he was there before his growth spurt.

He walks over to sit with her and shakes his head a little. "My room would be like this if Faene didn't insist on cleaning every nook and cranny of the house," he admits.

Then, in a teasing voice, he says, "I never thought your room would be such a girly color," he pauses. "It's almost close to pink." He nudges her with his shoulder, before continuing to look around. His eyes fall on the make up, wondering why women just seem to want to always put that gunk on their face. . . .

Quote:
'I dunno,' she grinned at him, fidgeting and then pulling out from underneath herself the bra that she was sitting on. She put it away in a drawer and sat back down again.
'You seem very..organised to me.'
Rhiannon looked at what he was paying attention to.
'Ignore that stuff,' she grimaced.
'Sati keeps trying to get me to try it. I dont think its me really. Do you?' she asked lightly.

Damien Casnes
Damien clears his throat descreetly when he sees the bra, and looks elsewhere. "Ah, Rhiannon, but you forget you have not seen me when I am deep into my studies. I just throw things here and there, paper is all around me. Broken quills, and the like," he smiles.

Then, he looks at Rhiannon, and the make up again. "Well, I don't think I have seen you in make up, so I wouldn't know. But, I like you the way you always are, anyway. The natural Rhiannon is beautiful."

Quote:
'Oh really? I'd like to see that.' Rhiannon teased. So he wasnt perfect in every way. Well...he was to her, but it was nice to know he was similar to her in some ways. Feh she was confusing herself. She blushed then, and pounced on him, going to tickle him because she was so tongue-tied by his compliment that she couldnt think of anything to say. She ended up kind of falling on him and probably pushing him back onto the bed.
'..ooops.' she said quietly, flailing as she tried to sit up again.

Damien Casnes
Damien is so shocked, he lets out a quiet, high-pitched "Meep!" as he falls back onto the bed.

When Rhiannon starts flailing, Damien grabs her shoulders gently, and starts to try and help her sit up. "I told you that you didn't know your own strength," he remarks. "Stop moving, and I might be able to help you up," he laughs.

Quote:
'No I'm fine,' she stammered, blushing beet red. This was her bed! And they were both on it...in sort of horizontal positions. Her mind was being horrible to her and bringing up all sorts of mental pictures that wasnt helping her blush at all. She finally stopped moving, and looked down at him.
'Hi..' she managed, her voice sounding a little high pitched to her ears.

Damien Casnes
Damien dontinues laughing quietly. "Hello," he replies. "Why in the worlds are you blushing?" he ask, reaching up to poke her nose again.

The situation is far too amusing to him, for some reason, for him to even be thinking about any of the things Rhi might be. . . .

Quote:
'Because you're lying underneath me..' she whispered the last word, still blushing.
'And I'm going to sit up now hopefully and...I dont know.'
Although what she actually wanted to do was lean in and kiss him, fall into his arms that sort of thing.

Damien Casnes
"I really don't see why . . ." Damien trails off, the talk Nyoka insisted on having with him coming back to his thoughts. "Oh," he says. "Well, ah, just, roll off of me?" he suggests.

Quote:
Rhiannon finally put her hands either side of his head, letting them sink into the covers, and leaned in, pressing against his hands and kissed him.
'Okay I'll roll off now then..' she had shifted, her legs either side of his now and she slid across him, flopping down on the bed next to him.

Damien Casnes
Damien is a little diappointed, for some reason, when Rhiannon rolls off of him. He shoves that back, feeling completely silly. Why did it matter, anyway?

Instead, he takes her hand in his, and kicks her foot lightly with his. "Come on, we've got the day to be together, and I have some money. I'll take you out somewhere. We'll do something different than wandering around the woods or the like. What do you think?" he asks, turning his head so he can look at her.

Quote:
She nudged back with her foot, squeezing his hand;
'Sure that sounds good,' she moved her head across the covers before she could think properly and not do it, locking her lips onto his and kissing him deeply. Her foot moved a little further up, tucking around his ankle and she pressed into him. Her little inner voice was yelling at her that if her parents walked in now...but she pushed it away and pulled Damien to her a little. They would go out, but for now she just wanted to be held.

Damien Casnes
A little suprised, obviously, Damien doesn't react at first. Soon, his arms are around her again, and he is returning the kiss.

He finds himself thinking how they actually ever get anywhere, if all they do is kiss. Not that he is complaining, of course! He likes this too. . . . Eh, probably more than walking anyway. . . .

When he pulls away, he opens his eyes, meeting Rhiannon's. He smiles, a slight twinkle in his eye. "I got the impression you were uncomfortable doing anything more than talking with me on your bed at this point," he teases lightly.

Quote:
'If I dont do this now it might be ages till I can again,' Rhiannon said, depressing herself a little by thinking about it. She sighed.
'I'm...well I do really like you,' she said, tracing a circle on his arm with her finger.
'Lying here. Well it kind of makes it more...umm serious? The bed is here, and so are we and my mind is terrible and keeps teasing me with images.' she grinned.

Damien Casnes
Damien chuckles, shaking his head a little.

She opened the door, her has to tease her. If he has learned anything from Rhiannon, it is never let an opportunity to tease someone pass you by. Or any oportunity, really.

"What sorts of images?" he asks, feigning a pretty decent innocent look.

Quote:
'Damien..' she squeaked, ducking her head behind an arm. Her voice came out muffled;
'You dont want to know,' Rhiannon mumbled.
'If I talk about it - I might want to do the..stuff.' she finished lamely.

Damien Casnes
"See, now I am curious," Damien says, poking at her side. "I'll just have to use the tickle torture for you, until you spill."

Then, he laughs a little. "Don't worry, it will be when you least expect it. So, you have dodged the bullet. This time," he adds.

Truth is, thanks to Nyoka enlightening him on the intimate games that some couples play, he can kind of guess what she is thinking about. . . .

"But, I hope some of those thoughts are of what we could do today when I take you out," he says, unaware of how someone's mind might be able to twist that around on him.

Quote:
'Ahh..not really,' Rhiannon grinned.
'I'm not into doing...well I dont really want an audience.' she giggled, snaking a hand across his belly. She looked at him;
'I guess we should move?' she asks lightly, not sure if she wants him to say yes or no to her question. Yes means they move. No means they stay and she might just have to .. pounce him.

Damien Casnes
Damien places a hand over the one Rhiannon places on his stomach, and smiles a little, ignoring the little jittery feeling.

He is blushing, though, when her words sink in. "No, I don't think I would be into it either," he admits, turning a darker shade of pink.

He clears his throat again, weighing his options. With an almost regretful sigh, he replies, "Yes, I think we had better move," as he props himself up on his elbows. "We should have a full schedule today, I think," he chuckles.

Quote:
Rhiannon wriggled her fingers a little, ruffling his top. Her hand stroked his belly, and she smiled;
'Yes Nin hi we probably should move.' she said, her voice soft. They very definately had to move because she actually wanted him now.
'I'll change into something better ok?'

Damien Casnes
Damien nods, and sits up a bit more. "I'll just wait for you in the living area, then," he says, leaning forward to give her a light kiss before sliding off of the bed.

One last teasing remark before he shuts the door . . . "Don't take too long, I know how you women are . . ." he then closes the door behind him quickly, so as not to have something thrown at him.

Quote:
'I'll take an hour just for that!' she called, giggling. She quickly flung her top and shorts off, putting underwear on this time. She hopped around the bedroom as she did her bra up, moving clothes around with a foot. Some of her stuff was still hanging up and she ferreted around in there, pulling out a pair of jeans in a soft denim, coloured a deep blue. She pulled them on, and then looked for a top.
'Ooh this one,' she grinned a little as she pulled it over her head. The top was white, low cut and it gathered under her breasts. It looked kind of like the top part of the dresses in a Jane Austen film - all pushed up cleavage. She tweaked it, looking at herself in a mirror and tugging a brush through her now dry hair. She brushed until her hair hung in shiny waves around her face. She smiled at herself. Even she thought she looked pretty - she hoped Damien did to. Locating a pair of white trainers, she slipped them on and hurried to the living room. She walked in and smiled shyly.
'Will I do?' she asked.

Damien Casnes
Damien, who had had his hands clasped behind his back and was studying the living area while he waited, now turns at Rhiannon's voice.

His eyebrows wing up, his eyes widening ever so slightly as they fall, and despite his best efforts, linger at the dip of her blouse.

Coughing descreetly, and making a point of moving his eyes back to Rhiannon's face, he smiles in what he hopes is a charming manner, and not a sheepish. "Rhiannon, you are always perfect," he manages to say. He holds his hand out to her, before asking, "Shall we, or do you need to leave a note for your parents?"

Quote:
She giggled, noticing where his eyes went to;
'Well thank you,' Rhiannon dipped a curtsey, her eyes twinkling with mirth.
She took the offered hand.
'Its fine. They pretty much trust me not to disappear for days or to do anything silly.'

Damien Casnes
Damien clears his throat again when she curtsies, willing his eyes to stay on her face.

Of course, they stray. So, he is forced to look ahead when she takes his hand.

"That's good," he remarks, smiling a little. Oh, he would get her, somehow. All the times that . . . yeah, and that shirt, and that little dip. Somehow, someway, he would get her. . . .

All of this is thought is the friendliest of ways, really. A sort of a challenge between friends, to him at least.

He brushes his hair over his shoulder again. "So, what will it be? Lunch? A movie? Shopping? Whatever you want," he says, chancing a glance at her. His eyes behaved this time, so he keeps them on hers.

Quote:
'You can look you know,' she teased, squeezing his hand.
'I wore this top for you.'
Rhiannon giggled.
'I dont know. Food maybe? I could use something to eat. If you know somewhere nice?' she asked. She didnt actually care where they went - well as long as there was Damien, and well food now as well she would be happy.

Damien Casnes
Damien blushes a little. "Ah, well, I still feel bad for looking," he admits. "Though, don't get me wrong. I like the top and . . . them." he claps his mouth shut. "Shutting up, now. . . ." he mumbles.

He starts to lead them toward town, thinking a little. "Well, I am not sure what you are hungry for," he starts. "Do you have a craving? I know many places to eat at. . . . ."

Quote:
'I have many cravings..' she grinned.
'But food? You decide Nin Hi. I really dont mind.'
Rhiannon laughed at his blushes.
'I wouldnt have said it if I didnt mean it.' she hugged his arm nearest her.
'And you can like ..them,' she stifled a laugh.
'Its very flattering and natural.'

Damien Casnes
"Ah, well . . ." Damien stops. He doesn't want to have a discussion about Rhiannon's breasts. Something embarassing might come out, and he will feel like a fool the rest of the day.

"You're probably a carnivore," he teases a little. "They actually have nice burger restraunts," he says. "Not of the fast food variety, I assure you nîn hiril," he adds. "Does that sound agreeable?"

Well, now, he has a craving for a burger. . . .

Quote:
She grinned, her little white, pointed canines showing for a moment;
'A burger sounds good to me. Lead on my love,' she said the last words softly, still unsure of using such familiarities with him. Rhiannon fell silent as they walked.

Damien Casnes
Damien can't help but grin at what she said. His heightened hearing was good for something, it seems. "And I shall, nîn meleth," he replies. "It's 'my love,'" he supplies, before she can ask this time.

He reaches for her hand again as they enter town. "Ah, there is one of them," he points, not to far from where they have entered. He starts for it. "It might be crowded at this time, you're alright with that?" he asks, remembering how uncomfortable Rhiannon had been when his uncle and grandma. Then again, that was under different circumstances.

Quote:
Rhiannon blushed a little, but nodded as supplied the elven version of what she had said. She whispered it, memorising the little phrase.
'Its fine,' she said, squeezing his arm again and letting him lead her. She did start listening intently though, her eyes sweeping the area, looking at people. The last time she had spent time in a public place like this had been with Cyrus - and she had been attacked. A nervous little feeling tugged on her but she pushed it away.

Damien Casnes
Damien looks at Rhiannon, watching her looks around. He moves his arm to hug her shoulders, and nudges her closer. "Hey, we don't have to eat here if the people are going to bother you," he says, a little frown of worry on his forehead. "I don't want you to be uncomfortable when we are supposed to be having fun," he says, offering her a smile.

Quote:
'No I'm fine. I'm being silly,' Rhiannon said, moving her arm around his back and hugging him.
'Its not like I'm going to be attacked a second time I'm sure,' she made a joke of it, smiling at him.

Damien Casnes
Damien frowns a little, almost forgetting about what happened to Rhiannon before.

"Well, for my peace of mind, then," He starts, squeezing her shoulders a little. "I'll ask for a place in the back. That way, we can keep an eye on everyone."

And, when they get inside, he does just that. He blinks when he is informed the wait will be only five minutes. Did they luck out, or what? Especially with the lunch rush. . . .

His eyes scan the room, looking at all the different people, seated and waiting for tables. To take his mind, and Rhiannon's if it is still on it, off of the attack, he asks, "Doesn't that smell just make your mouth water? I think I'll have my burger done in - oh - two minutes?" his smile is an easy one again, determined not to let anything ruin the last full day he has with Rhi.

Quote:
'If my tail was out it would be wagging,' she giggled, her foot finding one of Damiens and winding round it under the table. She glanced around the place once, and then relaxed a little, just keeping an ear out so to speak.
'Umm so do you know exactly how long you'll be gone?' she didnt really want to bring it up again, but she did need to know.

Damien Casnes
Damien grins, humor in his eyes. "I think that is something I would like to see," he says, moving his leg a little to allow for easier access to it, he supposes.

Then, he sighs, picking at the corner of the menu in front of him. "I believe it is four months," he says, though this time he keeps his eyes on Rhiannon. "Don't worry, though. We can still see each other. Like I said, people are allowed to visit," he says, mustering a smile for her. "It really isn't forever. And, before you know it, the time will have flown by." Or so he hopes. . . .

Quote:
Rhiannon rubbed her foot against his and smiled at him.
'Yes well I dont have the right clothes on for my tail, so thats not really an option.' she chuckled.
'Four months?' she echoed, staring hard at the table.
'That seems so long.'

Damien Casnes
Damien: "Well, some other time, perhaps?" Damien suggests.

Then, he does have to look away. "When you say it, yes, it does seem like a long time. But, when you live it, it is very different. I mean, recent months have just flown by for me, what with studying and me actually spending time with people. When I come back, you'll look at me, and say 'You were gone?', or something like that. It will seem as though I left yesterday. . . ."

The fact of the matter is, he is trying to convince the both of them. He never really thought he would get close enough to someone that, should he ever want to leave on a long trip, he would miss them, or have them miss him. But, he couldn't hide from life's little twists. . . .

Rhiannon: 'Yes maybe,' she picked up a napkin from the table, folding it into a tight square and then putting it down again watching it slowly open up again.
'No I doubt that.' she looked at him.
'I doubt I could not know that you were gone for the four months.'
Rhiannon sighed.
'I'm sorry. I'm bringing the day down. I dont want to. I know you have to go. But I'm feeling selfish and I dont want you to go.' she poked the tip of her tongue out at him at that.
'Four months without being able to kiss you! I wont be able to survive,' she said dramatically.

Damien: "Well, if it is any consolation, I don't want to go anymore," Damien says, taking his own napkin and snapping it open. He places it in his lap, smoothes out the wrinkles.

Then, he manages a smile. "I told you, you can visit," he says. "Besides," he says, waving his hand absently. "I can't come home to find that lack of . . . kisses has sucked the soul from you. I don't know how I would carry on, you being soulless and knowing I was the reason for it," he pauses for a dramatic sigh of his own, before turning twinkling eyes back to Rhi.

It is then that their waitor shows up and asks what they would like to drink, and if they are ready to order.

Rhiannon: Hearing that he really didnt want to go anymore made her feel happy, and warm. His feelings must be true. There was still the teeniest niggling doubt that he was just doing all this to be polite and charming but the more time they were spending together that day, the more that doubt was being erased.
'I know...' she grinned.
'But a dormitory isnt very private - so many rooms close to each other. One could never make loud noises and not be heard.' Rhiannon smiled mischeviously, then blushed as the waiter arrived at their table
'Ahh..I'll have fresh orange juice and a burger. With no yucky pickles or anything it in it please!' she asked.

Damien: "Hot tea, and a burger as well. Everything but onions, thank you," Damien replies. When the waitor leaves, he looks back at Rhiannon slowly.

"Well, you know, it is a magic school," he says, making a big show of looking at his manicured nails - Fauna got a hold of him before he left Greece again. "I can use my wand. I think I might be able to soundproof the room. . . ."

It is unclear whether he is joking or not. But, he is, he wants to see her blush again. She doesn't do it as much as he does!

Rhiannon: 'Damien!' she exclaimed, her cheeks radiating heat. Rhiannon lowered her voice and moved her chair closer to his.
'You are terrible to me you know. And if you insist on it then when I visit you might actually need to soundproof the room..' she winked at him.

Damien: Damien supresses a laugh, covering his mouth with his long fingers to try and hide his smile. "For you, Rhiannon, I would soundproof anything," he says, once he is sure he can trust his face again. He looks very serious now.

But, if Rhiannon blushes, or has another outburts, or even kicks him, he might burst into a fit of laughter that will have others in the establishment sending looks their way. . . .

Rhiannon: Rhiannon shook her head, giggling and covering her red face with a hand;
'Bad, bad boy.' she chided.
'And this couldnt have occurred to you in my bedroom?' she leant over, whispering still. If he was going to tease her, then he would exactly the same back.

Damien: Oh-ho-ho! Two could play at that game!

Still keeping in his laughter - but how much longer? - he takes his napkin off of his lap, and throws it on the table. He leans over as well, looking around, as though to make sure no one is listening. "Forget the food, then," he says softly. "Let's go back."

But, alas, maybe two cannot play that game. He does start laughing. What he just said is just something he never would really see himself saying. It's just so . . . he doesn't have a word for it right now, because he is too busy trying to keep his laugh to a chuckle. "I'm sorry," he says, leaning back again. "I didn't really mean it, honestly," he adds, just in case he offended her in some way, or she really hadn't caught on to the fact that he was joking. . . .

Rhiannon: 'No thats fine..' Rhiannon looked at him out of the corner of her eyes.
'Get a girl all excited and then take it away.' she picked up the napkin he had just discarded, balling it up and threw it at him. She was mostly joking, but a part of her had hoped...well there was time for that. Plenty of time. She ignored the colour rising in her cheeks and looked directly at him.
'You're getting too good at that.' she smiled.

Damien: Damien is still laughing when he bends to pick up the napkin, which had bounced off of his shoulder. "I'm sorry, but . . . once you get started, sometimes you can't stop. Besides, I never used to be able to do that, until you started it," he says, his laughter dying now.

"Well . . ." he draws out the word, and raises an eyebrow. "If you really did want to go back . . ."

Okay, maybe he couldn't stop all together? Or, maybe some hidded part of him really isn't fully joking? A very, very well hidden part of him. Because, if he isn't joking, he doesn't realize it. Yet.

Rhiannon: Rhiannon looked at him and quirked an eyebrow;
'See - too good of a teacher.' she nodded, then reached over and poked him.
'Damien if you say that one more time I will grab you and we will leave, and our next stop will be my bed.' she put her elbows on the table, clasping her hands and leaning her chin on them and looked at him.

Damien: Damien jumps a little at the poke. But, he does smile. "O, ye of little will," he says, reaching over to poke her.

"And, will you, now?" he adds, mimicing her pose. Though, the tips of his ears are turning red. Very soon, it just might become a full-out blush.

Rhiannon: Rhiannon nodded;
'Yes,' she said firmly, although she was also wondering how far she would take this. She did want to do .. stuff with Damien but was also not sure if they were ready.
'I definately will,' she winked again, grinning.

Damien: Damien is equal parts terrified and intrigued by the implications of such an action. As a result, he merely looks at Rhiannon a few moments.

But, he is soon grinning again. "Maybe sometime very soon, I will let you have your way with me," he starts, the blush indeed spreading a little. "But, now, the food is here," he says, watching as their waitor brings the food.

Once it is set on the table, the waitor leaves. When he smells the food, Damien is reminded of just how hungry he is.

Quote:
'Well I hope thats a 'maybe' promise,' Rhiannon chuckled.
'So it is,' she tucked into her burger, noting with relief that it wasnt too over-cooked. She swallowed a bite, sipping her drink and smiled at him.
'This is nice - how is yours?'

Damien Casnes
"It's a maybe promise, then," Damien says once he has swallowed his mouthful of burger.

"It's very good," he replies, talking of his burger. "This is one of the few places around here that knows how to make a good burger. But, their fries are the best," he says, taking one and biting into it.

Quote:
'Well I prefer the burger,' she said, after swallowing another bite. Rhiannon grinned, wiping her mouth with a napkin.
'Must be my wolf side.' she hiccuped a little.
'Excuse me. So what do you want to do after here?'

Damien Casnes
Damien chuckles, as he is more inclined to fruits and vegetables, himself.

"Ah, well," he says, taking another fry in his hand. "That is where we have a problem. You see, we had no set plans for the day, so I have no idea what we would do nxt. We could catch a movie, or do some shopping?" he suggests.

Quote:
Rhiannon finished her burger, nodding as she washed it down with her juice.
'Well no, you're the one that just popped round after all,' she grinned, teasing him.
'Not that I minded of course. But I dont know. Did you have something you needed to get before you..go?'

Damien Casnes
Damien finishes off his meal as well, sipping some of his tea as he goes. "Well, I might need a new journal, and I would love to get some new quills," he says, glancing down at his empty plate. "But, I really would rather not bore you with shopping for . . . school," he says, offering her another of his small smiles.

Quote:
Rhiannon chuckled;
'Its fine. Besides,' she reached over and touched the back of one of his hands.
'It wont be boring because I'm with you Nin Hi.'

Damien Casnes
Damien grins now. "Well, if we are finished here, I will just pay the check and we can get out of here," he says, putting his other hand over hers and squeezing it. "Who knows? It could be fun. And, you might get something out of the it, as well," he adds.

Quote:
'Well I'm finished,' she left her crumpled and used napkin on the plate and pushed her chair back.
'If you are ready we can go.'

Damien Casnes
Damien nods, and stands. He then leads Rhiannon to the podium, so that he may pay the check.

Once the check and tip are paid, he takes Rhiannon's hand as they walk outside. He watches all the people scurrying around, either shopping or heading back to work.

"My favorite store is quite a walk," Damien starts as they begin to make their way through the people on the sidewalk. "It sells books, as well. Something I need more of. I am rapidly running out of reading material. Just a bit of trivia for you," he flashes a grin at Rhiannon.

"But, if a store along the way catches your fancy, just say so. We can always make some stops in between."

Quote:
'Thank you for paying,' she smiled, squeezing his hand.
'Thats ok. Its nice to just walk with you.' she laughed out loud.
'Okay did that sound as sappy as I thought it did?' Rhiannon blushed.
'You like reading I remember. What sort of books do you like?'

Damien Casnes
"It's no problem," Damien replies. He then moves his arm to be around her shoulders, squeezing her gently. "And, I like sappy Rhiannon, thank you very much," he teases.

He sighs whistfully before continuing. "I like all sorts of books, actually. I will read anything put in front of me," he admits. "But, I have been reading more on magic these days. I don't want to let my mum down, slacking in my studies and all," he chuckles. Then, in another teasing tone, he says, "I can see you sitting in your room, late at night, reading those harliquin romances. . . ."

Quote:
Rhiannon laughed, an arm snaking around his back;
'Well I dont read as much as you. And I certainly dont read romance novels.'
She grinned, the light in her eyes meaning that she was going to tease him again.
'You can see me in my room huh? You'd be more likely to see me running around the woods, skin to the wind.' she giggled.

Damien Casnes
Not missing a beat, he waves off the comment with his free hand, almost hitting a passing man. "I have been stalking you for ages, now, Rhiannon. I have seen you running around naked," he says, as though it is nothing. Still continuing to look straight ahead, Damien adds, "It is one of the reasons I fell for you. You have a very beautiful . . . running stance," he says, giving her a crooked grin.

Quote:
Well that backfired on you didnt it! Rhiannon thought as her cheeks flushed red.
'Oh I do, do I?' she said, trying not to look at him otherwise he would just continue to tease her.
'Just a nice running stance?' she regained herself and grinned.

Damien Casnes
"Well," Damien says, not looking at her again, for fear that he might blush and ruin it all. "I noticed quite a few other very nice things about you, but a gentleman does not comment on such things," he replies, brushing back the bit of bangs that never wants to stay out of his face.

Quote:
Rhiannon tugged on his hand to get him to stop and looked up into his face, smoothing the hair from his face as he had just done;
'A gentleman wouldnt spy in the first place I think,' and she tilted her head up, kissing him firmly on the mouth in the middle of the street. She broke away and smiled at him.
'Lets carry on shall we?'

Damien Casnes
Damien feels a little odd, being kissed in the middle of a sidewalk full of people, but he doesn't show it.

He merely give her another crooked smile, and says, "You make a valid point," before he starts to walk again.

Then, his face lights up in an entirely different way. "Look, there is the bookstore," he sighs happily. "Ah, it might be crowded, just to warn you again," he adds, looking over at Rhiannon. "But, it will be fun. They have all sorts of stationary things, and books on every subject imaginable."

Quote:
'I have you to protect me,' she giggled, squeezing his arm and nudging him with her hip. She secretly thought that it was darn cute how he got excited over a bookstore - maybe a little geeky but truly endearing.
'C'mon then, lets go inside,' Rhiannon tugged on his arm.
'I can tell your dying to go in.'

Damien Casnes
Though Damien is unsure of his own strength as a protector, he nods. "Aye, I will fight anyone that looks at you in a cross manner," he says, grinning at her, his eyes dancing.

Then, he tugs at Rhiannon, actually pretty anxious to get into the bookstore. He truly looks like a kid getting ready to walk into a candy store. "I am dying to go in!" he admits, enthusiastically. Visions of quills, and leather-bound journals and books start dancing before his eyes.

"Since you'll be seeing the stationary more than I, you can help me pick it out," he suggest, unknowingly trying to spread his excitement.

He pushes open the door and holds it for Rhiannon. He breathes deeply. The smell of books is heaven for him!

Quote:
'Well sure,' Rhiannon walks in, chuckling.
'But your the one going to be using it. I mean I dont suppose I can write you back can I? From what I've heard of the place anyways.'
She still hadnt told him she had tried for a place there and she wasnt sure why not.

Damien Casnes
"Rhiannon, you can write me back," Damien says, looking around the store. "It is a magic school. Just because it is flaoting in the air, doesn't mean we can't get mail," he adds, turning to grin at her.

The grin on his face still, he looks back at the books. "Have you heard of the Academy?" he asks again, absently.

Then, doing a complete change of subject, he sort of mumbles to himself, "I think I will look at the quills first. . . ."
PostPosted: Thu Mar 19, 2009 7:52 am

Quote:
'Yeah I guess.' Rhiannon shrugged, following him. She just wasnt a big letter writer, but for Damien she would definately change that.
'Ok find the quills then,' she chuckled then fell silent.
'Ahh yes. I have..I kinda applied but didnt get in,' she mumbled.

Damien Casnes
Damien almost doesn't hear Rhiannon, as he makes his way toward the quills. But, he picks up on the mumble. He turns to look at Rhiannon, slowly. "You let me ramble on about it?" he asks, tilting his head a little. "You must have felt as though I was rubbing it in your face," he says, in a soft voice. "I'm sorry that you weren't accepted. I truly am," he adds, looking away a moment. Yeah, he kinds of feels a little stupid just now.

Quote:
'Yeah well its kinda why I got so upset when you first told me.' she walked on, looking at the rack of feathery quills and picking one up, brushing it against her face.
'You didnt know. Its not your fault I didnt tell you.' Rhiannon forced a smile.
'But lets not talk about it anymore. Lets just get some stuff for you. Maybe I should get some stationery as well. I dont have any.'

Damien Casnes
Damien respects her wishes, and nods. "Stationary would be good," he says, smiling slightly again. He plucks up a few raven-feather quills, and then some species of hawk quill.

His eyes linger on the ink wells. He has enough to last him, he thinks. "Next stop, stationary, then," he says, holding out his arm to Rhiannon. "If you want that quill, by the way, you can let me hold it for you," he adds.

Quote:
'I was wondering whether to tickle you with it actually,' Rhiannon pointed the white feather quill at him.
'But I think maybe I will get it,' she handed it to him.
'And what colour ink?'
She picked up a few different wells but just went for black in the end.
'Okay then. Stationery.'

Damien Casnes
Damien smiles when he takes the quill from her, and holds out his hand for the ink as well.

When they are in the stationary section, they are greeted with a long isle of paper, all in different colors, patters, texture, and weight.

Damien lets out a little laugh. "This might take a while," he says, looking around at all of the paper. He already knows what he wants, but he isn't telling. He doesn't want to make Rhiannon feel rushed.

It is a little more crowded over in this section. Apparently, a lot of people ran out of paper at the same time.

Damien leans closer to Rhiannon, and says close to her ear, "It should be fun, trying to navigate through all these people."

Quote:
'Ummm,' she looked at the vast selection.
'If I get lost in this paper do you promise to come find me again?'
Rhiannon shivered a little as he spoke near her ear.
'I'm sure it will. If anyone touches me you'll be sure to know,' she winked, grinning and showing her teeth.

Damien Casnes
"I promise," Damien grins at her. "And, no one will bother you. I am a acary guy," he says, making a face that probably was meant to come off as scary, but just looks goofy.

Then, he starts to make them a path through the people, so that they can look at their selections. Damien sees his usual stationary toward the end of the row, but continues to look at the other selections, anyway.

Quote:
Rhiannon giggled softly, watching him walk off and enjoying the view. She shook herself and started looking at paper.
'Ooh there is some lilac coloured paper.' she smiled to herself.
'And envelopes.'
Damien would know who the letter was from before he even opened it if she bought this stationery. The paper was an odd sort, thicker then some of the other and was pleasantly rough to the touch. She looked around for Damien, wondering where he had gotten to.

Damien Casnes
Damien comes back with a large box of his particular stationary in his hands, the quills and everything else stacked on top. He asked one of the employees if they had a box or more of it in the back, as he needed it for school.

"Sorry," Damien says, smiling again as he rejoins Rhiannon. "I could have sworn you were right behind me," he adds. "Bloody crowd."

He hitches the big box onto his hip, mindful of the items on top of it. "That paper pretty much matches your room," he observes.

Quote:
'Its ok,' she reassured him, and nodded.
'Yes exactly. And now you'll know who the letter is from out of your hordes of admirers if I get this stuff,' Rhiannon teased. She looked at the box.
'Get enough stuff?'

Damien Casnes
"I don't see why I would have admirers," Damien shrugs. "But, indeed. If you got that stationary, I would know who it was from right away," he admits. "Besides, even though I teased you, it suits you. The color."

He shifts the weight of the box on his hip again. "Yes, I have enough stuff," he adds, a sheepish smile on his lips. "I don't know how much I will be using. Better safe than sorry," he explains.

Quote:
'You would. You might. You are very good looking.' she smiled shyly at him.
'And thanks. I do really like the colour. Even if its more girly then I am.'
Rhiannon looked at the box again.
'True.' she looked at the paper she was holding then at Damien.
'So we are finished here?' she was panicking a little. Where was the day going? Before she would know it the day would be over and he would be gone for months.

Damien Casnes
Damien waves off the good-looking comment. How could he be, with his scales and all?

"Still, it suits you," her admits. Then, he is nodding. "Give us the paper, and I will take it up to the cashier," he says, holding out his hand.

When he has everything, he makes his way to the cashier's station. After a short wait in line, he plops everything on the counter and waits for the cashier to ring it up.

He pays for it all, and takes the bag, and the box.

"Shall we leave, then?" he says, smiling. "Then, we can figure out what we are going to do now."

He starts to lead them back outside. Part of him wishes that Rhiannon might suggest heading back to her house. Then, they could just hang out in her yard or something, while he is able to set all of this stuff down. . . .

Quote:
Rhiannon had handed it over without clicking, thinking that he was just securing a spot in the queue and she would pay for her stuff herself. She caught up with him at the door and she lightly socked him on the arm.
'Now why did you go and pay for my stuff?' she asked. She rolled her eyes at him.
'Anyway maybe we should go back to my place? You might fall over if we walk around anymore.' she giggled.

Damien Casnes
"Because, I have the money. Besides, I like spending it on other people, not myself," Damien replies.

Then, he looks almost comically relieved. "Are you sure you can't read my mind?" he says in a teasing voice. "That sounds great. Lead the way, nn hiril," he says, inclining his head to her.

Quote:
She squinted at him, wriggling her fingers in a mock-mystic way;
'Hmmm...' Rhiannon laughed, dropping the hand.
'Nope I cant. But I wouldnt want to lug it around.' she nodded.
'Ok my dear.' she patted him on the behind and walked ahead of him, wending her way towards her home. Her steps were a little reluctant however and she slowed often, walking in silence.

Damien Casnes
He laughs a little, before he is jumping at the bum-patting.

Damien is shaking his head, a small smile on his face, as he begins to follow her. The smile soon fades, though, as he continues his walking. His steps are equally as reluctant. It is getting closer to the end of the day, he is painfully aware of that. And, he still has packing to do before he leaves tomorrow. That doesn't matter, though. It can be handled easily enough.

He sighs a little as he walks with Rhiannon, shifting the heavy box to his other hip, lost in thought.

Quote:
Even walking slow didnt stop the fact that they still had to arrive, and they did so. Rhiannon walked up the path and stopped at her front door, turning to speak to Damien.
'Did you want to go inside again or sit in the garden?'

Damien Casnes
"I'd rather like to sit outside, if you don't mind," he replies, trying a smile, somewhat failing.

He bends forward, to set their purchases down. Is arms are starting to feel rubbery, and he is getting a sinking feeling in his stomach.

Quote:
'Worried I'll pounce you huh?' she chuckled a little, and then tugged on his arm when he put the box down.
'Leave it there...lets go sit under the big oak tree again.'
Rhiannon kicked off her trainers and left them on the front step, walking across the lawn and wriggling her toes in the grass.

Damien Casnes
Damien nods, and follows her toward the tree. Once there, he sits down, leaning his back against the tree. He holds out an arm, and says, "Come here," in a soft voice.

Quote:
Rhiannon nods carefully this time, feeling her eyes prickle. She doesnt often cry but she has a feeling that this will be one of the times. She knelt down beside him, tucking her head into the crook of his neck and letting him hold her.
'Why did the day go by so fast..' she mumbled into him, her fingers curled in his hair.

Damien Casnes
Damien rests his cheek on her head and strokes her hair. "Isn't that the way it always goes when we see each other?" he asks. "We had some fun though, right?"

Quote:
'Yes we did,' she turned her head, feeling comforted by his hand on her hair. Rhiannon kissed the side of his neck, nuzzling him with her nose.
'I just...well I dont want to let you go.' she closed her eyes and those treacherous tears slipped out, sliding down her cheeks and dropping onto him.

Damien Casnes
Damien closes his eyes a moment. . . .

. . . . Until he feels the tears. His eyes snap open, and he feels a bit . . . panicked. People don't cry in front of him. Being sad is one thing, he can deal with that, it is the crying.

He doesn't say anything, only puts his other arm around her, tightly.

Finally, he manages to say, "Hey, Rhiannon, don't cry. . . ."

Quote:
'I'm trying not to..' Rhiannon sniffed, wiping her eyes and looking at him. She put her arms around him, blinking away the tears and brushed her lips near his.
'Just hold me and kiss me please. I know you'll be back, but my heart wants you here with me.' she smiled a little.
'I will miss you..'

Damien Casnes
Damien nods. "I'll miss you too," he says, stroking her hair again, giving her a soft kiss. "For now, you have me 'til dinner time." he manages a smile at her.

Quote:
'Love you,' she whispered, cupping his face with her hands as she captured his lips again with her own. Her hands slid from his face, pressing against his chest and sliding around and down his back as she kissed him. Rhiannon very much wanted to wrap her legs around him and pull him down onto the grass with her...give him something to think on when they were apart but she didnt dare make such a bold move. Instead she let her hands wander over him as much as she thought she could.

Damien Casnes
Damien blinks once, wondering how she can go from crying to . . . this, at the drop of a dime. Girls are strange all together, he decides.

Then, he isn't thinking anymore, he's just going with the flow, hands roaming probably more than they usually would have. . . .

Quote:
Rhiannon pulled away, breaking the kiss reluctantly, her cheeks flushed but not with embarrassment for once. The fingers of one hand had wound up tangled in his hair again, and she gently pulled them out, going to one of his ears and stroking along the edge of it with fingertips.
'I dont want...to get carried away just because your leaving for a while.' she said.

Damien Casnes
"Then . . . you best not mess with my ear," Damien says softly, managing a weak smile.

He curls a chunk of her hair around his finger. "And, no teasing," he says lightly, poking her nose with his other hand.

Quote:
'I guess not.' she agreed.
Rhiannon made a snapping motion at his finger, chuckling.
'I will be a very good girl,' she said primly, folding her hands on her lap and tilting her head to one side.
'Like this see?'

Damien Casnes
Damien shrugs, feigning mild boredom. "Well, you see, that is entirely up to you, my lady," he says, looking down at his fingernails. "I could live either way, to be honest. . . ."

Quote:
Rhiannon tugged him towards her then, grinning wickedly;
'In that case I changed my mind. You get me as I am.' and she showered him in kisses, determined not to cry again until he was gone.

Damien Casnes
Damien is a little suprised again, but smiling. He soon puts his hands on her shoulders. "Alright, I'm going to stop you before you stop yourself again," he says. He kisses her lightly.

Quote:
'Spoil sport,' she pouted a little. She shivered a little, the sun was slowly going down and she knew that the time had crept up on them again.
'Its getting towards evening,' Rhiannon whispered.

Damien Casnes
"I know," Damien sighs. "And, if I want to get home in time for dinner, I had better leave pretty soon. I have that box to carry all the way home. . . ." His face falls a little as he thinks about it.

Quote:
Rhiannon nodded, lost for something to say. She didnt want his last impressions of her as whiny and tearful. She didnt want to be a clingy girlfriend. But she also really, really did not want him to be going away for 4 months.
'I guess you do have to go real soon then.'

Damien Casnes
Damien nods. "Come on, we'll go back to the house now," he says softly. "We'll get the worst part over with, and then I will be home before you know it."

Quote:
Rhiannon hiccuped, standing and covering her face. She composed herself and then walked back to her front door with him, standing by his box of stuff. She knelt by it and pulled out the thing she had picked, putting them to one side. Then she stood, her hands clasped and her hair covering her face.

Damien Casnes
Damien puts a finger under her chin. "Give me a smile before I leave?" he asks, managing one of his own.

Quote:
'O...kay..' she blinked, forcing a smile for him.
'I'm sorry...this is so silly of me.' Rhiannon folded her arms around him, hugging him tightly.

Damien Casnes
Damien hugs her back, equally as tight.

After a few long moment, he pulls away. "I better go. I'll send you a letter the first day I am there, I promise," he says as he bends over to pick up the paper and his quills.

He gives her one last kiss, before he waves goodbye.

Quote:
Rhiannon watched him go, her fingers pressed to her lips as if trying to hold onto his kiss. She sat down heavily on her front step, hugged her knees to herself and tried not to cry. She could visit him - he'd already said and it was only 4 months - so why did she feel so very sad?
'Love him..'
And that was just it. The feeling was so new and intense that she couldnt quite get her head around it. Telling him and having him going all in the same day had churned her up in side. She stayed a while on the doorstep before finally picking her stationery bits up and went inside.

Quote:
Rhiannon bounced downstairs, her hand only lightly touching the banister as she went. She was sure she had heard the distinctive sound of the mail slot banging on the front door and she hoped, hoped that there was a letter from Damien. Although she had gotten over her intial weepiness and moping, she still ached to see him. Sure enough there were several letters on the doormat and one was for her! Hang on, she thought as she carried on rifling through the post, no, two were for her. The handwriting was the same on the envelopes, only the postmarks were different dates. One must have been held up somewhere. She dumped the rest of the post on the hall table and took her letters up into her room, which by now was devoid of clothes piles and in fact fairly tidy. She flopped on her bed and opened the first one;

Damien
Bein Rhiannon,

Im maer, I hope the same can be said of you.

True to my word, I have included in this package an introductory to the elven language for you to look over at your ease. You can look up any of the words I might write out to you in the letters I send you.

Now that formalities are out of the way; I miss you already! I have only been gone a day. Look at how sappy you have made me, nî® hiril!

I have a bit of good news. I at least have one friend here with me. Elle was accepted! I won't be totally alone, even if this is not where I want to be anymore.

Enough sad talk. I will let you know when the school is landing for a break, and where. Maybe we can meet somewhere? Or, I can give you the best time for you to come and visit me at school? I am sure that I read somewhere that we were allowed to have visitors.

Lessons have not started yet, but we are going to be trying for our larith's soon. I do not hold out much hope that I will recieve one. Perhaps when the five summoning scrolls are handed out, classes will begin, and I can actually get some studying done?

Anyway, wish me luck in my classes when we start!

Navaer, and meleth,

Damien.

Well at least he wasnt totally without friends. She remembered Elle, a quiet seeming girl. She wished for his sake that he was successful in obtaining a scroll, if he had to be there it would nice if he had something to strive for. Obtaining a scroll and then a Larith sounded like something he would be good at. She pressed the letter to her lips, and then put it down, opening the second;

Damien
Rhiannon,

I hope this letter finds you well.

A few things have happened since last I wrote you. First things first: I did not recieve a scroll, so I am not going to be able to summon a larith.

But, on the bright side of things, I will learn how to summon a familiar, which should be fun anyway! And, the rest of the school year should be interesting, anyway.

Elle and I are trying to get into the same clubs. Just so we have a friendly face.

Some of the people here seem nice enough, but I have not really met many of the other students. I tend to stick to Elle if I want to socialize. Probably because I have known her for a while.

Another person I know is here, but I have not seen him. He washed up on the beach on my sister's land in Greece. His name is Adrian. I heard he got a scroll. I will have to congratulate him at some point.

Also, Elle has sent you two copies of a photograph she took of me. I don't like it, I mean, I really hate the picture! But, I think you might get a nice laugh out of it.

I have something else to tell you, though. But, I think that best be left for in person.

I'm still missing you, and I hope to hear from you soon!

Meleth,
Damien.

Well she wasnt sure what picture he was talking about - she sure hadnt received anything yet. Maybe she would tomorrow. He had mentioned Elle again 3 times in this letter, and she felt a surge of jealousy. Why hadnt she been able to get into the Academy? Then she wouldnt have to worry about him hanging around with girls. She tried to calm down. She would just have to trust him, and she did want to do that. She went and sat at her desk, pulling out a sheet of the lilac paper, and of course the mere sight of something that she had gotten on that day made her eyes p***k. She sighed, opening the ink well, dipping the nib of the quill in and started writing;

Damien,

First of all please excuse any blotches that might appear on this letter. The sight of the stationery reminded me of that wonderful day we spent together before you left and I confess I started to cry a little.
I was happy to see your letters however, and I am sorry to hear that you werent successful in obtaining a scroll, but I am happy that you will have other things that you'll enjoy doing whilst you are there.
I miss you very much. I wake up thinking that I can just go around your house and see you - then I remember where you are and it hurts. Forgive me. I did not mean to sound so down in this letter. I just hope the time when I can visit you comes round soon.
I am curious as to what it is you have to tell me that you could not say in your letter, and I am also a little worried. Is it something so very bad? And as yet I havent received the picture that your Elle friend took. I do hope it comes soon. I dont care how you look in it, I would just like to see your face!
There is some news that I might have for you in my next letter, but that all depends on how tomorrow goes. For now I'll sign off and send this to you.
I am forever yours,
Meleth
Rhiannon.

Rhiannon waved the ink dry, folding the letter, and wiping her eyes. She put it in an envelope, writing down the address that Damien had put at the head of his letter. She found her purse, and her shoes then, intent on walking into town to post it.

Rhiannon tapped her fingers on the arm of the chair she was sat in, flicking through the local paper half-heartedly. She was deeply bored, but didnt know what to do. She was also still down in the dumps as Damien was far away at that stupid school by now. She looked through the vacancies in the back section of the paper, scanning the want ads. Her mother had suggested to her that maybe a part-time job would help take her mind off things, and would mean extra money for Rhiannon to spend. Rhiannon had sort of agreed, and she trawled through the ads now;
'Drivers..escorts,' she giggled. She could well imagine the look on her mother's face if she did that!
'Oh this looks interesting,' she said to herself, examining the ad she had just found. It was a staff wanted for a themed restaurant, and the wages seemed okay. Rhiannon tapped the phone number out, speaking to the manageress who invited her in for an interview the next day. Rhiannon didnt have any previous working experience but the restaurant were looking for trainees so all that was needed was enthusiasm and a good work ethic.
Rhiannon spent the evening nervously preparing. It was her first interview and so she showered early, picked out a presentable outfit and went to bed early.

The next morning Rhiannon was only able to force down a piece of toast and a bit of juice thanks to the butterflies in her tummy. Sayuri wished her good luck and Rhiannon left, heading off to the outskirts of Barton where the restaurant was located, and wishing not for the first time that morning that Damien was easier to get in contact with. She was soon at the restaurant, and inhaled the scent of cooking fast food, ruefully thinking that soon she too would probably smell alot like that. She was taken into the staff only section, and sat down in the manageress' office, nervously shifting in the plastic seat opposite. The interview with Elaine, for that was the manageresses name went swiftly it seemed and she hoped she had come over as someone that would be a competent employer. What she hadnt realised from the advertisement was that the theme of the restaurant was a roller one and she would have to learn to serve people whilst on roller-skates. So if she did indeed get the job she would have a week to learn how to skate without falling bum over tit...
When the interview was over Rhiannon stayed in the restaurant and ordered a burger, and a chocolate shake, finally being able to eat properly now that her nerves had gone. She'd done her best and now would just have to wait.

Rhiannon held the phone receiver in her hand, long after she had finished speaking to the person on the other end. She blinked a little, staring dumbly at Sayuri who asked what the matter was with her daughter;
'I got the job..' she said, looking a little shocked about the whole thing.
'Oh that's wonderful!' squealed Sayuri, hugging Rhiannon tightly.
'But are you not happy?' she pulled back, looking at Rhi.
'Yeah..just didnt expect to get it is all,' she grinned a little.
'I have to go pick up a pair of roller-boots from the restaurant so I can practice,' Rhiannon said, wriggling out of Sayuri's hug and poking her tongue out at her.
'Ok you go to that, I'll find an old cushion that you can tie to your butt for a soft landing.'
Rhiannon rolled her eyes, leaving for the restaurant. She also picked up her uniform, and when she left again, she poked around in the bag, grimacing a little at the ruffles and girliness of the outfit. Well it couldnt be helped, it was her first job after all and maybe that included looking a little like a muppet!

Once home she stuck on a battered pair of jeans that she didnt care about getting dirty or torn whilst she practiced. Sayuri stood with her whilst she put the skates on, and helped her to her feet. Rhiannon gripped onto her mother tightly, the feeling that her feet wanted to skid off in opposite directions from each was not a good one, and Sayuri supported her daughter as Rhiannon wobbled down the path.
'I think you sort of glide, one foot in front of the other. I imagine its like when I learned to wear okobi.'
'Only without the wheels,' mumbled Rhiannon, concentrating on not doing a Bambi. She flailed a little as her feet moved too far apart again but Sayuri managed to right her and they carried on. After a few passes up and down the path Rhiannon felt better on the roller-boots and was managing to skate a little way on her own without any support. At that point she decided to end that practice session on a high note and wobbled her way back to the house, as Sayuri had to start dinner.

Damien,

I hope my second letter finds you well. And missing me! Heh well as much as I miss you which is alot. Well I will try not to go down that road again in this letter because I will just get upset, and I'm guessing it makes you just as sad when I go on about it. Let me just say that I wish I was there with you, or you were here with me and leave it at that!
I hope your lessons are going well (if you have had some in the time between getting my letter and answering). And that you are having fun...well not too much fun, if you know what I mean.
I'm can tell you now what the news was that I mentioned in my first letter. I have a job! Its just a weekend one. I told my mother about how you had gone, and that time felt like it was dragging without you, and she suggested that a part-time job might be a way of keeping myself occupied. That and I can actually have money that I've earned. So I went job hunting and saw this one cafe that was advertising, I interviewed and got a place there. Well here comes the slightly embarrassing part. The Cafe is a themed one - a roller themed cafe! I have to wear this cutesy uniform and deliver the food on roller-skates! Which will be okay when I am more practised on the skates. Right now I am spending more time on my butt then standing up but I'm slowly getting better. The Cafe manager is giving me the easier jobs until I'm proficient on the skates.
I bet you are wondering exactly what the uniform looks like huh? Luckily for you my mother is snap-happy, and took a picture of one of the times I was practising - I put the uniform on to try it, and the skates out and she caught me after I'd fallen down;

User Image
Told you it was cutesy - and short! I hope no one tries to grab my butt. Well apart from you of course...anyway what do you think of it? I have to wear my hair up as well because I'm handling food. Do you think it makes me look older? When my mother saw me like this for the first time she got all teary and said I looked like a proper woman or something. I couldnt quite hear her as she was sniffly.
Well I've really rambled on this time! I should stop, and send it to you.
All my love,
Rhiannon.

Dear Diary,

I think the job is going well; I've made some friends here, Cessy is 22 and has a shock of curly flame-red hair, and Taylor is the cutest guy but he knows it and flirts with everyone. Even me after I told him about being with Damien. Cessy says he has tried it on even with the manager (who is like 30 or something so she's old!).
I miss Damien terribly. I havent seen Kate lately either, but I spoke to her. Apparently she's seeing some girl who has moved in with her. Seems like she has finally fallen for someone! I hope she'll be happy and it wont stop us being friends...plus she'll always be someone special as she was the first one I, well you know!
I hope Damien is ok...and I wonder whats happening with Cyrus? I havent seen him around lately either. I feel like I'm losing contact with everyone I know, which I dont really want to happen. Well maybe after I'm better at the roller skate thing I'll finally get some time to go visit people.

Rhiannon examined the ends of her hair as she stood outside Kate's door. She had knocked once, listening intently, pretty sure she could hear someone? move around. The door finally clicked and opened and a petite woman with a cascade of black hair stood just inside clad in only a long baggy-tee.
'Hi?' she asked.
'Ah..is Kate in?' Rhiannon asked. The woman nodded, motioning her in, calling Kates name.
'Rhiannon! I wondered when you would drop by. I thought you had dropped off the face of the planet.' Kate chuckled as she hugged Rhi. Rhi hugged her back, feeling a little awkward in front of the stranger.
'Come sit, tell me whats been happening with you.' Kate led her into the living room and Rhiannon sat on a chair, and Kate sat with the long haired woman.
'Oh I'm sorry...Rhiannon, this is Tasha.'
'Hi, its nice to meet you.' smirked Tasha, her voice husky.
'Err likewise.'
Rhiannon was curious as to what that expression alluded to until Tasha got to her feet again and perched on the arm of the chair Rhi was sitting on.
'I can see why you liked this one,' Tasha said, running her fingers through Rhiannon's hair who blushed.
'Tasha...' chuckled Kate.
'Okay okay.' the woman held her hands up.
'I'll go get dressed and you two can 'chat',' she slid off the arm and left the room. Rhiannon looked at Kate.
'So she's the..?'
Kate nodded.
'She's...nice,' said Rhiannon.
Kate laughed.
'You'll get used to her. So go on then, tell me whats up.'
Rhiannon spoke for a while, telling Kate about her job and how she was missing Damien.
'Well, I'm glad you are with someone who reciprocates your feelings.'
Rhiannon nodded.
'He does. He's...so great. I just can't describe how he makes me feel.' she sighed wistfully.
'Goodness...you do have it bad!' Kate exclaimed.
Rhiannon nodded.
'I ache for him...here,' she put her hand over her heart.
'And, and.,' she blushed, not knowing how to phrase it.
'And here?' Kate placed a hand on her own lower belly, just above the top of her thighs.
'You lust for him huh?'
'It's...all consuming right now.'
'It gets worse around the full moon. But you learn to cope with the feelings. Or you just,' and she wriggled a finger.
Rhiannon blushed but laughed at that.
'Yeah well it might come to that,' she admitted.
'We could always help,' came that same husky voice, right by her ear this time. A hand had slid around her neck and rested on her chest.
'God, Tasha,' Rhiannon said as she jumped almost out of her skin.
'Don't tease her Tash,' said Kate, trying not to laugh.
'Oh but its fun,' pouted Tash, who gave Rhiannon a soft squeeze through her top before letting her go. Rhiannon squirmed a little, trying not to let Tasha get to her.
'I think I should go now.' she said, looking away as Tasha sat next to Kate and wrapped around her.
'You dont have to,' said Kate, waving Tasha away a little.
'I really should..you know I have .. stuff to do,' and she fled quickly.
