"Good idea." Aki said, nodding. She paused, however, waiting for Ryu to jump up to them.
"Actually... I grew up with that kid." she said thoughtfully, "A bright ninja... too bad he left right after becoming a chuunin. No one even expected it."
She shrugged a bit. "Whatever. Let's get going."

Yuki shuddered at the thought of that snake; of the short time she spent with him; of what he did to her. Her hand slid to the back of her neck where her seal was throbbing painfully. 'When did the containment seal worn off?' she wondered dismally. She'd have to be nice to Hayate for an entire week again until he'd re-do it... That was almost as unbearable as the pain in her neck.

"The kid's real name is Eos," Aki continued, deciding to give out some background information, "I didn't recognize him at first, because he's a shapeshifter. That's his bloodline trait. He was in my class, but was always jealous of those who had more friends than him..."
She sighed a bit. "Good kid gone bad, if you ask me."
Aki then glanced up at Yuki. "You alright?"

"Hmm, yes I know the type." Ryu jumped off toward the hideout figuring the others could keep up.

Aki leapt after him, easily keeping pace. She frowned a bit below her mask. If they were going to Orochimaru's lair, this could get tedious.

Shigamaru reluctantly followed the group toward Orochimaru, his expression slowly turning into a terrfied look.
"Why does it have to be him?"

As Aki asked her, Yuki clapped her hand over her seal and muttered a quick, "I'm fine" before following closely after Ryu. This was her struggle... her reason for living.

"If it weren't Orochimaru, then who else?" Aki asked, raising an eyebrow, "I understand you don't want to go near him, but if it is going to intervene with the success of the mission, I'm going to ask you to leave, you know."
She sighed lightly. "No hard feelings or anything."

Shigamaru thought hard, then ultimatly decided he had to face his fear of the snake.

Aki nodded. "Alright. If you can't do it, then get out of there, though. I know you don't want to die... if you freeze up for some reason, you won't make it though."

Aki nodded. "My clan had similar sentiments." She sidestepped a cracked branch, incredibly pleased at their progress.
"Should we stop by Konoha and inform Tsunade of the change of mission?" she called back, "We may be able to pick up another ninja or two if we do."

"I have already sent a message, and I really don't want to big of a gathering. the only others will be Kisuke, and someone that you have yet to be introduced to."
"Did someone say my name?" Kisuke appeared next to Ryu, matching his pace. "the Hokage got your message, and is informed. As for him, he will be here about the time we arrive."

Aki nodded. "I'm going to check on Genma, and see if I can get a friend of mine to check his memory from the attack. Anything could be a clue, after all."
Nobilis squawked loudly, soaring in from above the canopy. He easily caught up to the shinobi, feathers trailing after him.
