Syrus watched as the others conversed with themselves, keeping off to himself, hoping that he wouldn't be seen. As much as he would like to make friends he was just too shy of a boy to go up and speak with them. No wonder his only friends were either his family or Daine... Speaking of which he hadn't seen for some time.

Daine walked around the meadow, humming to herself and twirling every once in awhile, her christmas was good, though it may have been better if she had seen Syrus during the holiday, but she hadn't, she sighs softly, perhaps maybe she would see him today, she sure hoped she would.

Stretching, Syrus wiggled in the spot he sat in, wondering what on earth he should do. The boys way over in the distance seemed to be busy anyway, so there was no point in bothering them. He allowed himself to think about his Christmas, his very first one. It was really rather nice, and Danaus seemed to enjoy it as well seeing as he had a family to enjoy it with him. Danaus was an even shyer fellow, even though he was a ghost.
"Hmmm...I wonder if Daine had a good holiday...I didn't even get her anything..."

"I would like to find out why I feel so strangely around those two?"
-With a look of concern when he stated his question and then started to look around as he heard some rustling in the branches.-

Daine looks around and noticed Syrus and waved "Hey Syrus!" she called and headed over to where he was "how's it going?" she asked

"Daine! It's good to see you again!" he called as he waved back with a smile. Ask and you shall recieve, that's what Mizu always said, and here she was. Laughing he removed his glasses for a moment and cleaned them as they began to gather a bit more dust then he liked, and placed them back on the bridge of his nose.
"I'm doing good! How about you? How are you and your sisters fairing?"

Daine arriving where he was sits next to him "that's good to know and I'm doing good and my sisters are fairing alright" she replied and crossed her legs at the ankle

"That's good to hear. How about your one sister? Is she still said about that boy?" he asked with curiosity. He hadn't been really up to date with all the things that have been happening.

"That's good..." Syrus said, looking up for some odd reason or another. Adjusting his glasses that were beggining to slide down, he gave sort of a happy sigh.
"We don't seem to see each other much anymore, do we? I'm mostly at fault for that though. I stay at home most of the time ^^"

Daine looks at him before shaking her head "no, we don't..which is kinda sad actually..I miss your company.." she admited, before glancing up at the sky and watching the clouds drift by

Syrus blushed a bit and laughed. "Really now? Well I am indeed sorry that I haven't been around lately. How about I make it up to you? We can do whatever you want to do today" he offered, more along the lines of he had no clue what they could do. Most of the time they just walked and talked, but perhaps she was getting bored with that...He wasn't sure.

Daine looks at Syrus "Yes, really and to be honest I really wouldn't know what we can do we could always have a picnic and..hmmm..I don't know what else" she answered

"A picnic sounds wonderful!" someone said behind them. As Syrus turned he saw Mizu ironically toting a picnic basket and it seemed rather heavy.
"I was on my way to drop off Syrus' lunch. There are often so many little ones around I thought I would pack extra just in case he was with any of his friends!" She sat the basket down and rumaged through it until she found a cloth to spread out, which she did. Then she patted Syrus on the head and smiled.
"Have fun now you two!" and with that she was gone.
Syrus blinked a couple of times, mouth agape at the fact that his mom could be so convieniant at times. She always seemed to pop up when she was needed, but that might just be how all mothers are, or at least a good hunk of them he hoped.
"Well that certainly came out of nowhere..." he said as he watched her walk away.
