Sierra pauses on the step for a moment and then sits down in slight annoyance. Removing her cloak, she draws her sword, which had been resecured around her waist at some point. Measuring something on the cloak she makes two long slashes. Resheathing her weapon, she fastens the mantle back in place and then bends towads the earth in a sweeping bow. A slight cry of pain as her flesh splits and spits forth bone, muscle, sinew and feathers. The four ebony appendages glide through the new 'wing slats' the elf had made and fan out behind her, flacked with blood. They twitch for a moment, but quickly dry and fluff themselves, the pain on the woman's face subsiding.

"Ouch...that looked painful."
The old Devil snickered. He placed himself just behind Sierra, where she would hear the cracking of bone and tearing of flesh. The Devil's wings ripped forth from his shoulders, blood spraying in all directions. No pain, but pressure, is what Kain felt. His wings were a natural part of his being, exposing them meant him no harm, the area of where they sprouted from, knew well the deal and was used to the strain and built itself up like a giant calouse.
The, all in all, 14' wing span reached out, testing their limits from being shackeld up. Each wing was, normally, 7 feet each in length and ran the width of Kain's shoulder to knee, powerful things indeed. the leathery things were ruthless in battle and could pummel men to mush.
Kain arched his back and adjusted his shirt...again...the destruction of his clothes was, more or less, the main reason the Devil didn't use them more. The release of his wings was eleviating and, well, why not...three quarter foot great horns sprouted from just above his temples and a long black, snaking thing came from the seat of his pants. If one was to look more closely to his facial features, the incisors would be elongated and feral looking.
"Ahhhhh, free"

Sierra's tail bobs behind her almost playfully. And as if it had a mind of it's own, which often people would swear it did... it seemed to take a great interest in the devil's newly sprouted tail.
Sierra grins at Kain with a 'Hurt? Who me?' expression on her face.
"They're Ra'kar's crowning glory... I can summon them, but not as painlessly as she."
They spread out to their full span, the upper wings measuring in at 9ft, the lower ones at 7-ish. They tense, the muscles coiling as they collect and then she lifts herself three feet into the air with a few powerful beats.
Grinning she points to the west.
"The next town is four hours flight that way... two and a half if we cut through the mountains. Think you're up to it?"

"I may be pretty but that's not the only thing to me. Lead on. Be sure that I can follow wherever you go."
His wings flicked to shoo away left over blood and flaks of remaining skin. With a great sweep in the air Kain lifted off from the ground and created a pulse of wind and sand to flare out from beneath him, a small vortex following up from his feet.

She laughs and shakes her head, and begins ascending on a smooth diagonal. Catching a strong air current she climbs to an altitude of 130 feet, where the air currents were a little less sparse. Taking off in the appointed direction at roughly 40kmph, She looks toward the horizon, wondering what sort of weather conditions awaited them up ahead.

Kain couldn't do much but follow, the winged elf. He fiddled around with his cuffs and decided to unbutton thme and to roll up his sleeves.
Kain's tail had flattened and stretched, like a large plank that was widest at its end and was progressively thinner as it got closer to his body. Kain's protoplasmic tail had the estranged ability to mold itself and a rudder-like appendhage made flying much more easily. This also made it so Kain was much more agile in the air, an adept fighter for land and air....sea...he would still have to see about that...

Kain would quickly observe, that while the elven woman didn't very often, when she did, she milked it for all it's worth. She loved flying, and to her flying, was never 'just' flying. She would climb high in altitude only to wrap her wings about herself and allow several moments of heartstopping free fall.
The rush that it gave her, it was so akin to the feeling that fighting gave her, she savoured the adrenaline rush, daring her body further. It might look reckless at times, but she was an ace when it came to this stuff, she was even more graceful in the air then on solid ground and that was saying something.
She would jump from current to current, drifting and banking as she felt the air 'tell' her would would be suitable.
She was glad she had chosen the desert garb and pants as opposed to her regular attire. The was something less concerning about flying in pants as opposed to a dress or skirt. Maybe she was just a little conscious of the fact she had someone flying close behind her.
Despite the woman's playful flight pattern, her antics didn't seem to slow their journey. Quite the contrary, her navigation of updrafts and currents was adept and the wind only seemed to carry her toward her goal all the more quickly.
Her wings too, were unique in their function. It was as if the larger wings did the work, while the smaller wings acted like a glider, catching the currents and maintaining her abilty to drift along them smoothly.

Wonderful...
Just when he thought that Sierra was actually level headed...she started bounding up and down in the air like it was something she hadn't done before. Granted, Kain liked the wind blowing on his face but airacrobatics was just too...rediculous.
Whatever, let her have her fun...

Whatever, Kain would see the usefulness of her airbatics at one point or another. Not that she really needed the training, but it was nice to keep her skills sharp, especially since she enjoyed it so thoroughly. When she had been a child, struggling with the burden of her powers, flying was the only thing that ever seemed to free her mind. That pleasure and freedom, stayed with her even now. And as a dancer/fighter... She made the most of her skills on land and in the air, optimizing her fighting abilities. It also enhances her ability to to navigate the narrow passages that they'd soon be flying through in the mountain passes. She was just warming up.
Another 15 minutes of her playful antics and she finally levelled out, satisfied that every muscle was now stretched and warm.
38 minutes after that, and the foothills were in sight, the mountains looming over them.

They've been in the air for near to an hour now and Kain was wondering how long it'd be until they would reach the Dark Sakura Blossom Guild. He wasn't entirely sure what his employer planned to do should they come across a town or village, he'd rather keep going.
"How far is it now, depending on the distance I say we fly straight on through."

"There's a pass that will take us right through in about 15 minutes if you can keep up... We'll need to stop at the shrine very briefly first though. Then we can fly onto V'enir, the city to the west of the Guild...."
She was already looking ahead to the unwarm welcome they would recieve should they just fly into town. Most V'enerians hated elves... or anything that wasn't human enough for their standards. Sierra herself had some special standing with the people who ran the show, but the city folk in general would rather the pointy eared woman never set foot in their precious city, the same would go for Kain and worse.

Kain shurgged, he was a little annoyed. He didn't want to understand why they HAD to stop, didn't register to him that there a treaty of sorts. He would continue to follow Sierra but didn't even bother with thinking on joining her in this...shrine that she was talking about.
Being of a small village, Kain assumed that this Shrine was erected to heighten the people's spirits, enlightenment. He stomach rolled around in his gut. Gave him a shudder.
Well....back to follow the leader...this was getting old, but it payed well...

Sierra guns it at as soon as she knows the devil was ready, she shoots off at nearly 3x's her speed. She would lead him through some of the narrowest and deadliest passages, that fancy flying she'd been sporting earlier being put fully into practice now. There would be about 6 minutes of sharp turns and dodging rock and roots, then Sierra would suddenly drop about 17 ft straight down the cliffside, before she would dissapear under the edge, entering into a a fair sized cavern.

The sudden Decent left Kain to do a backflip and a usage of power with his great wings, shooting himself straight down to the earth to follow the Sierra-Jet.
He could understand why she was flipping about earlier. Were he not well versed with his wings and, being smaller than Sierra's, left more for maneuvering. The turns and just were a thing of play, the idea of ending up a splat on rock face was riveting.

Sierra would land and create a small mage light as she walked a few yards into the dark depths of the cavern. Sand and rock turned into paving stones and as the soft golden glow chased back the darkness, a run down courtyard was revealed. The place was in shambles which made it both eerie and enchanting at the same time. The elven woman makes her way to the back of the front chamber and kneels at something. The sound of running water would p***k at the devil's hearing as he enetered into the shadowy cavern.
Sierra had knelt before a statue of a winged dragon, a small wellspring flowing about it's base. There was a halfworn away inscription, which if Kain could make it out, said something about a guardian's blessing and safe passage... The statue had rubied eyes that glittered as Sierra's mage light danced.
She whispers a prayer before pulling something out of a hidden pocket in her cloak. It was a plain gold pendant, unornamented and hung on a thick gold chain. This was the reason that Sierra had stopped.
She often carried a small supply of wee trinkets with her for such purposes. Enchanting. Both a skill and a hobby, she was good at these little charms. The object in her hand pulsed with the same red energy Kain might remember from his treatment the other night... As she fixed her spell of illusion to the physical object itself.
She rises to her feet and holds it out to him. It was no longer plain, but bore a simplified version of her spell circle.
"Sorry, it's easier to do this from the ground. It's charmed with an illussion, tied to your energy signature and only yours. Wearing it around your neck will activate the charm and you will be concealed within the image of a raven."
With a grin she adds,
"Anyone with strong enough abilities will look upon the bird they see and their eyes will itch a burn, but it would take a master of illusions to see through the spell that was decieving their senses."
