And the two were off. Crim` arrived at the elevator and pressed the button, the doors would open and he would board it and wait for Kata to get in before pressing the second floor button.

On the ride up he leaned against the corner as he knocked a few ashes off of his cigarette into a tiny ashtray he had swiped from the cafeteria earlier. He spoke to Kata. "So... We don't know much about it. I would say try and dissolve it with flames but that might cause another explosion, and I can't contain it with my ring unless we somehow get it outside. We need to seal it off somehow, or maybe drown in in water. I really don't know..."

Ding.

Out he stepped, walking toward his room. He turned the knob and entered.

What a mess.

He looked around.

"Heh... Just how I left it..." he said. He seemed a bit embarrassed.

"That bad huh?" he said with a smirk.

"Well, that's good." he said, continuing to talk as he began digging through his mess. The bed was covered in random articles of clothing and random items like rubber bands, pens, free weights, anything one can imagine a twenty-something guy like Crim` would have. "I was expecting the usual geez what a mess! You're such a slob! " he joked, going to the closet and beginning to dig inside of it.

"I found... Something." he said, lifting up a small black t-shirt with a pink Playboy bunny logo on it. Clearly this was not the property of a man...

"Heh... Better put that back."

He soon found a different t-shirt, a simple white v-neck as he often wore.

"Good enough."

In a few seconds after removing his jacket he had put on the plain t-shirt and noted that it was a bit small for him. "Hm, guess I've gained some weight since then..."

"Ha-Ha." he laughed dryly, pulling his jacket on and looking down at the blood stained part. The bullet from the creature that had shot him earlier had somehow missed the jacket, it being open and unzipped at the time of the fight.

"Yeah... We should keep our guards up. Well, let's get it over with." he said, sighing as he looked to the cigarette he had set in the ashtray on the bed. It had gone out.

Crim` walked up into the third floor after a slow stroll up the stairs. He jumped up and over a few pieces of rubble at the end of the stairway, dust from overhead falling onto his shoulder.

"Hm yeah... I'm not even sure it's safe to be up here. We need to do something about this soon, or shut it off completely until we do. I'll have to talk to Mooo about hiring a cleaning service or something." said Crim`, dusting off his shoulder.

"I guess. I just wouldn't want the ceiling caving in on me anytime soon." he said, rubbing his dusty left index finger and thumb together. He began moving inward through the debris, ducking through a few overhead planks that lay slanted against the walls. He crouched as he noticed it. It was indeed a puddle, pulsating lightly with a small trail of smoke wafting upward from it's core. He pointed his finger toward it as a sort of "There it is" gesture.

Crim` looked at her foot, eyes wide.

"Wow, that stuff is potent. Well that shows one thing... We shouldn't touch it." he said, a frown on his face. "First thing's first. We need to get it out of here... The question is... With what?"

Crim` shrugged. "To be honest I think we should just leave it here. It does seem to remain dormant unless stimulated." he said as he walked around the puddle, his eyes locked on it, examining it. "Besides, I'm sure we can find something to take care of it in Aekea. Hell... This thing might've even come from there. Sure seems like something one of those crazy scientists would come up with."
