James put up a hand to stop her from kissing him. He set down his book. "Don't try to upll that. I try to kiss you today and you run off. First tell me what was bugging you."

"I'm really sorry. I was just...busy...I didn't have any time." she said. She knew she was lying but now she was over that feeling and she wanted to be with him.

She looked at him and sighed. "Fine...I was scared at first. Because when I woke up this morning I was in your bed. I thought it was only an awesome dream. But it turned out that it wasn't. So...I tried to stay away from you until I went to the doctor. I decided that, since, for one, I don't have enough money to go to the doctor and see if I am pregnant, than I will just wait and see. If I am, than I am. That's that. I have accepted the fact. Then if I am, I can have our son or daughter." She was really hoping he would act like an adult about this subject.

James sat there speechless 'Could she be pregnant? No. No she can't. Oh my god what if she is. I can't have a kid. Oh God. A kid. No. Just no.' James sat there with his mouth open while his mind raced.

"What? Is something wrong...Oh I hope not." she said hoping that he would accept the fact that she could be pregnant.
What if he just...leaves me...I really think I need to get out of here now...uhh...but I can't...I don't just want to leave him. Oh please! Don't leave me...
She thought about the possibilities. What if she was pregnant and he left her? What if she was and he didn't? What if she wasn't pregnant at all? These were all questions she had.

James closed his mouth. "I just can't have a kid. I can't" He whispered over and over. He was looking down at the table. He looked up at her and swallowed. "If you are pregnant, if, you want to keep it don't you?"

She looked at him and said, "Yes, of course I will. I won't ever have an abortion. Even if you do leave me I will still keep the baby."

"No, I can't have you pay for it. I have a little money extra. I will pay, but I do agree we should go now." she said getting up from her chair. "Shall we take my car or yours?" she asked leaving the cafe.

He slid his chair back in. "If you might have my kid I'm paying. And my car. Comeon." He turned to go with his mind still racing. He didn't know if he was ready to be a father. He didn't have much choice now did he.

She looked at him and nodded. She didn't know what to do. If she was pregnant, she wouldn't be able to finish out her college career or anything. She prayed that she wasn't pregnant. At least not yet.
She got into his car in the passenger seat and buckled her seat belt. "I...somewhat think that I don't want to have a kid." she said. Her stomach was churning with every thought.

"Well if you don't then the only way if you are pregnant is to get an abortion." James started the car and drove them to the hospital.

"I will not do that!" she yelled, forgetting that she really didn't mean to. She just felt strongly against abortions. She always thought 'Oh, it won't happen to me.' but now that it has, she has no idea what might happen. She thought about it all the way there. She knew she wasn't getting an abortion, so that meant that she needed to have the baby. Maybe adoption. She had a few ideas what to do with it. She didn't like the fact of 'putting him/her up for adoption' either. She just kept her spirits high and hoped that she wasn't.
