I always thought of homosexual with the sexual part in bold... I beleive you're describing something more like "homophile" ...

But it could very well be an excuse to nonchalantly come clean... or brag about? ... your blankets.

It is true that people do not need to have sex with each other to prove love. I fully agree with you. However, in almost all relationships, sex does play a large role. Obviously it provides pleasure and sexual release for both people involved, but related to the idea of love, its a very close, intimate interaction. So in my example, I was saying a gay man was with a straight woman. The woman is going to want to have sex at some point, and the man in my example decided to do it for her regardless of his lack of sexual desire for women. He did this because he loves her.

This works, right? I mean, you can see similar things happening in any normal relationship, things that have to do with sex, and things that dont. Any good boyfriend/girlfriend will do things they dont really enjoy to make their significant other, so I dont see why it wouldnt carry over into the sort of unconventional relationship I described earlyer.

As far as what the man saw in the woman? I was refering to behavior, morals, stuff like that. All the non-sexual things you could find in someone that are attractive. Said woman could have a pleasing sence of humor, be extremely loyal, those sorts of things.

We can just forgot about the ideas of maturity or the dictionary. We could both be right or wrong on either of them. I can see what youre saying about both, and Im more interested in the idea that sex and love are too seperate to use one to define the other.

Hey dude! I just had a crazy idea and you helped to inspire me. Remember that example with the man and woman? Of course you do. If the sex life is too rough, but the love is still there, I would present a solution in the form of sextoys. That was the woman can please or the man can please his/her partner in every form possible and manage to release the sexual tension intimately with his and her partner. Though they made need to practice so that they can be safe and not wind up having the man's spinchter muscles suck up a rubber phallus because it doesn't have a flared base. >.> Sex toy people know what I'm talking about.

Also, I was thinking about how sometimes sex doesn't work in defining orientation when I was thinking of those actors. Not just porn star actors, I'm talking about Brokeback Mountain or any other movie with any kind of love scene. Those people were acting, not actually having sex or being in love. >.>

I feel kinda of tired. Too much Resident Evil 4. I like people who make me think though. And The-Mut-Cat you Crazy, Cool Cat. What happened to the stories. Everything all right on the brush side?

And homophile sounds dirty... I'm thinking of using the same word, just adding another type of definition in addition to the prohibition of the rendition that everyone is familiar with. I know I just made no sense.

Oh! Happy Halloween and Resident Evil 4 is quite fun. I'm off to go pwn some Ganados so I can get more pesetas for buying bigger guns to pwn the Bagged Head Chainsaw Ganados.

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Ron Bruise Style!

The sex toys could work... but I wounder, would it really be the same? To a gay man, would having a man give it to you be the same as having a woman with a toy give it to you? Im not sure, possibly not. Who knows?

And of course, if its acting or some sort of other deception for a purpose, then sex alone would not make them gay.

.

I guess thats where the love part comes in.
Unless of course they didn't know it was a woman- like if someone were to kissed you when you were blindfolded.

Hmmm. I may ask one of my gay friends about this.

I really don't like it when people make up arguments for groups of people and then respond to them. It always ends up with the responder making the strawman look stupid.
