At the sound of the group entering its den, the creature whirled, growling as it flung its head. An attempt to throw Mikami out of its mouth in order to face its current opponents.
But Mikami wasn't dead. The Flygon had tucked himself into a ball, a turtle-like maneuver that had his hard wings encasing most of his body, with his tail curling about him to help minimize damage. The second the creature's jaws loosened, the Flygon roared, snapping unfurled, claws, teeth, horns, and spines lashing out wildly at the monster, trying to do as much damage as possible.
The creature shrieked, spitting out Mikami, as the Flygon harumphed, growling low as he dove underground, making short work of the hard bedrock, and causing the ground to collapse beneath the monster. The weird thing had only a moment to cry out in rage, as it was swallowed up by a sudden sink hole.
Mikami emerged a moment later, sniffing disdainfully as he kicked a few more pounds of sand on top of the mound that marked the battle site.

Chloe immediately tackled the Flygon in a hug, "You're alright!" she grinned, as Mikami nodded, shrugging. She had to give him more credit than that, it wasn't as if he'd let such a weird thing get him.
After a few potions to heal up her party, Chloe and the others set out to find their way back to the entrance. They could still hear whispers around them, and every shadow looked to leap out at them at a moment's notice, but things were relatively quiet.

That changed suddenly, as twin roars sounded out from both in front of them and behind them, as four of the beasts total circled around the group.
"Uh oh..." Chloe muttered dismally.
The Pokemon rushed to attack, as Chloe grabbed hold of Cael, hopping on the Dragonite's back as the group charged, hoping to break through the line of monsters as they attempted to make it back alive. The creatures hissed, sending out a spew of black smoke, as Chloe coughed, glad that she still had her goggles on from earlier.
Entreri hopped on Lantis' back, preferring the Latios to Mikami anyday, as the Flygon and Swablu followed along behind Cael and Chloe.

A shaft of light emerged before them, as Chloe grinned. They were almost there. Cael whirled, backing the others up as he sent a Thunderbolt at the monsters to have them back off, giving Lantis, Mikami, and Alkaid time to flee up the shaft. Cael and Chloe followed, Chloe grabbing the rope as the Dragonite flew upwards, carrying the two of them to safety.

As Chloe and Cael emerged from the hole, Mikami settled to filling it, crashing many of the dunes down as he scurried to cover the hole he had made with his earlier escapades. The rest of them joined in to help, even Entreri, as the mound of ash once again sealed off the entrance to the caverns

"Mika... I hope you'll be more careful around sand dunes now..." she muttered with a groan, flopping on her stomach as she lifted herself up to sit cross-legged on the stone. Mikami nodded, still a bit shaken by the events, despite his attitude.
There wasn't a chance he'd go back down there and investigate that place again...

Deciding to get as far away from the filled hole as possible, Chloe hopped on Cael, as the group flew to the top of the volcano, deciding to continue their training up there, rather than risk another run in with whatever those Pokemon were underground. She didn't get too good of a look at them, and was unsure as to what they were, but she wasn't too interested in getting a closer look. She had seen enough of those teeth for one lifetime.

Chloe woke sometime later, a little miffed to find that night had fallen once again. "Great, just my luck," she muttered, looking to the night skyy as she stretched, packing down her tent and making her way to the side of the mountain, where most of her Pokemon had gathered.
"So, we've still got a ways to go before we hit the top," she declared, as Entreri scampered by her, toothy grin apparent. Mikami was giving chase, clearly angry, if his defiant cry of "Flyyyyyyy!" was any indication.
Which it probably was...
Forgetting her plans to finish the climb for the moment, Chloe had her hands full ceasing the mini war between her two Pokemon. This was getting much worse than the rivalry between Krad and Midna. At least those two could be civil towards each other when they were in a good mood.

Chloe narrowly ducked out of the way as Entreri came hurtling by once again, pushing off from the stone, grabbing hold of a tree's barky surface, easily finding purchase with his sharp claws. Then, in a maneuver that had even Chloe impressed, he did a relative back flip, timing his landing perfectly so that he landed on the enraged Flygon's back, grinning all the while.
Mikami... wasn't too impressed. Bucking wildly to dislodge the Sneasel, Mikami growled, twisting every which way in order to try to aleviate his unwanted burden. Entreri, who had done quite a bit of practicing since his last flight, stuck on tight, smirking despite himself at Mikami's flustered attempts to fling him loose. The agile Sneasel hopped easily on Mikami's tail, using the Flygon's flail to send him soaring above, to which Mikami retorted with a slash of his claws.

Easily evading the Flygon's attack, Entreri lashed out double wide using his own claws in the play. Chloe was about to shout out a warning, however stopped her call as she noticed that Entreri wasn't really going full out with the points of his claws. Sure they were sharp enough to cause a few scratches, but Entreri seemed to be curbing his attacks, as was Mikami, she noted, after a closer look.
The two were playing? No, that wasn't really right. More like a sparring match.
Chloe shook her head. She had the feeling that it was pretty much hopeless, and settled for turning her attention to her other Pokemon. Returning Daimon, she allowed Alkaid and the others to remain out, since they would have a simple time flying to the top. Lantis still was a bit wary, not too willing to associate with such a crazy group.

Continuing on her way, trying to ignore Mikami and Entreri's ongoing air-battle, Chloe and her partners continued their way up the mountain, her dragons and Alkaid taking an aerial route, as Mikami and Entreri caught up every once in a while, still trying to best each other. Their little rivalry was turning ridiculous.

Hey it's me again. I just bought my first house it is awsome. Anyway i need you to come to dewford. I will meet you at the pokecenter. You will like it it is real nice. Me and my old friend from lavaridge are cleaning it up. I miss you and i lost to wattson. but things are better seeing as i can train up my pokemon now. Oh do please respond to me before you come.

"Sasha's doing alright," she informed the group, although Entreri and Mikami had their little rivalry continuing and weren't paying much attention. The two had settled for a sort of truce. In reality, Entreri was just too quick for the Flygon, but the Flygon's attacks were more powerful, so their little battle had come to a standstill.
"Looks like we're headed back to Dewford once we finish up here," Chloe announced.
