Well, GSP was doing pretty well against Hughes on the first match. Landed good shots and what not. But he just got caught with an Armbar, so it was no surprise to me that GSP had won by TKO on the rematch.
But man, Rich, he seriously let me down man. He knows all that s**t, how could he let himself get beaten in the Thai Clinch like that?

Aren't all the best fighters from Brazil anyway?
I think I'll get really muscular and strong and takeup some style of kung fu to help its reputation in the West.
give it a whole new outlook.

Well, IMO, Jun Fan JKD (the systematized Jeet Kune Do), San Shou, Wing Chun and Wushu are the most famous and practiced today.
And not many would consider Tai Chi a fighting style...Well i wouldn't, since there aren't Kung Fu masters like in the past.

Nah I wanna get one of those ones.. with all kinds of wild stances/movements.
I mean if you look at the Chinese guys or whoever represented Kung fu at MMA tournaments before.. they are all lacking on the physical strength tip.
People try to argue that "oh the guy wasn't skilled enough" or "that's because ____ Martial art isnt real and sucks"
I just think it's cause they don't have the power to support their techniques.
(combined with the fact that I still equate real martial arts to a well timed strike to the groin/eyes/throat)

Ive seen the "Kung Fu is weak" alot. Weak as in "no power".
Maybe its cuz of what you said. Not having the power to support it by not being physically strong enough.
Lol no wonder why Bruce Lee worked out so much and was ripped like hell.
What im curious about is those guys who do the whole "breaking" and "endurance" stuff. Like they get hit in the balls and they dont even wince, or when they stand or rest on very sharp s**t, or when they chop coconuts with their hands and break them with their heads, etc...
You know, ive never seen those guys fight. Its always them demostrating and s**t, but no actual fights...

The human body is different than some stable object.
I mean I'm not saying that such acts aren't impressive..
But the whole human punching bag thing is kinda true. The human body is built to take quite a bit punishment.
So the whole "I can break this board which equates to a human bone" lacks a little substance.
Cause it happens quite often that people are hit with more force (maybe not exactly as concentrated) and nothing is broken.

Thats reminds me of those accidents they show on Spike Tv, when the skydiver jumps from the plane and then the parachute goes wrong. Then they fall all the way down and hit the ground and nothing ******** happened to them. Maybe a single bone broken or something...But damn...
