Out of the choices I'd probably say Indian. It's not that I eat it the most but I LOVE spicy food - the spicier the better. I love the burrito place down the road too as you can put as much tabasco sauce on as you like, I love to feel my cheeks burn.

I'm not so keen on Chinese food as it's a little sweet in general (hate anything sweet and sour orientated...) but I do adore the way they do duck. Mmmm....

Otherwise I'm severely lacking in food culture... sad Aside from Scottish food, which is a whole other kettle of (deep fat fried) fish.

I never had a traditional English-style roast dinner with Yorkshire pudding with all the trimmings. Nor have I tried deep fat fried fish (or deep-fried candy bars, for that matter). So I guess I'm pretty oblivious to the local cuisine of you U.K.ers.

I'm still wondering if anyone will admit to liking balut. I'm not providing a link this time, because I think I grossed people out last time I mentioned it.

Last week I told one of my co-workers I wanted to eat a panda bear, and she looked at me like I was some sort of psycho.

I'm so eeeevil. domokun

I love going out for Mexican, Italian, and Chinese food, though I'll sometimes be in the mood for Indian food, even if only once in a blue moon. All of them have their own very distinct taste with its own way of being spicy.

Hmm... the best pets/only pets I've had have been cats or dogs. But since I can't choose between them I choose a snake! They're so lovely to hold.

Though I'm not sure I could face feeding it all those dead rodents as my second choice would be a rat. Rats are clever.

Shockeye is my hero. domokun

I had two pet rabbits, both of which died in rather painful fashion (one fell of a balcony and died of internal injuries, the other got eaten by a dog).

If I could have any pet, I'd pick a penguin. Like Opus or Pen-Pen. I'd call it "Bob".

I'd forgotten about Pen-Pen biggrin

I love dogs to pieces. Not your little lap dogs, or the things that yap half the night, but *big* dogs with lots of fur. I'd love to have a Pyrennean or Newfoundland or St Bernard or Bernese, along with an Alsatian and a Golden Retriever.

However, given that I live alone in a flat in the middle of a city and work all day (and sometimes all evening too) it wouldn't be possible. So I have to content myself with adopting the collie cross that lives next door to my parents, although she's getting very old, poor thing.

Also I sponsor a Guide Dog puppy to help pay for his training. My current puppy is named Uffa and is a retriever / alsatian cross, although he looks a lot like a chocolate labrador, but fluffier. The nice thing is that you know you're helping people out as well as animals and the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association sends me a puppy calendar every year and gives me quarterly updates, including photos, of how the puppy is progressing.

As to why I love dogs, well, I know it's a cliche, but they *are* man's best friend. It would be so nice to have a dog to come home to, because they're always happy to see you. It doesn't matter what you've done all day, doesn't matter if you've had a lousy day, but they crave your attention. Unconditional love in a big, furry bundle - bliss!

In retrospect, I may have watched a little too much of programmes like "The Littlest Hobo", "Belle & Sebastien" , "Due South" and "Kommissar Rex"...

I was flipping through the playlist of a co-worker's iPod one day and spotted a song by 'Belle & Sebastian'. I said, "Hey, wasn't that some cartoon about this kid and his big white dog?", and he gave me that 'what the hell are you talking about' kind of look...

Boy do I feel old. gonk

Join the club. I work with people who are too young to remember Mysterious Cities of Gold...

I want a pet timelord. I could teach it tricks, scratch its hair, and when I come home it would run up and be very glad to see me 3nodding .

Am I perhaps getting it confused with a dog, you ask?
... figure it out for yourself.

Hmm, seems like there's more cat lovers here than anything else. The Sixth Doctor would approve... razz

Anyway, for this week's question... in honor of ITV's new show Primeval (supposedly their 'answer' to Doctor Who), we ask what you think the best science fiction program (past or present) on TV, not counting Doctor Who and it's various spin-offs. Unfortunately I forgot to include the standard "other" option in the poll... I'm sure there are other shows that probably deserve to be on the poll as well.

And, just out of curiosity, how is Primeval? Is it worth watching at all?

You make me CHOOSE? Out of that awesome selection? There's no way!

Primeval is vaguely watchable. Tis not Who though. And the CGI is bad bad bad...

I recently got into Heroes (which has just started over here). Been watching downloaded American eps non stop over the weekend. It is soo much better than I thought it would be! Specially Hiro and his pal. xd

I was raised on Doctor Who, Star Trek, and The X-Files. Out of the last two there, I'd say I like The X-Files more =^_^=
