Obie fell silent and continued to hold onto him for a few more minutes, concentrating on calming herself down and the feel of his hand on her hair and his arm wrapped tightly around her.
"Where would I be without you Ne-chan?" she asked softly, though she knew the answer all too well and that was something she definitely did not want to dredge up. She needed him more now than ever, if he knew the truth about her past... Holding him a little tighter as if he would disappear any moment, she breathed him in deeper.
"I'm sorry. I really didn't want to do this here and on such a special day," she smirked lightly.

Ra smiled and looked down at her. "No need to be sorry." He said brushing her tears from her eyes and kissing her forehead. "It gave us an excuse to be alone, if only for a few moments. Dinner is going to be survival of the fittest."

Obie smiled as he brushed her tears away and even laughed a little at his words. Sniffing softly, she glanced over her shoulder to the open door and then back to him. Leaning forward, she placed a soft, quick kiss on his lips and began to play with his hair once she pulled away.
"Did you find out why your father was here?" she asked, changing the subject. She knew she had been with him the entire time, but she still wasn't certain what had been said when Ra had started to pick a fight with him down in the living room.

Ra shrugged and smiled at her. "Not entirely. Only that he realised what a big mistake he had made." He looked up at the open door and then back to her. "I'll talk to him properly tomorrow."
He thought for a moment still running his fingers through her hair. "What do you think of him? He's not quite the demon I've made out?"

"Good, to both him realizing his mistake and you talking properly to him," she smirked and continued to play with his hair.
"I like him a lot. He reminds me a lot of someone else I know," she teased, looking up into his eyes. "I don't think he was ever a demon. I think he was just misled. I have a feeling that that is what you will find out tomorrow. Promise you will keep your cool and an open mind?" she said arching a brow. "I can't always be around to keep your head screwed on straight," she teased again.

Ra laughed again and hugged her tightly. "I have been dealing with him for twenty years. I can handle it." He smirked and stole another kiss from her. "I suppose we had better go down for dinner. Before they send out a search party."

Obie laughed and returned the stolen kiss, wishing that it could have been more. She was really starting to look forward to returning to Japan.
"I think you might be right," she smiled and kissed his cheek before pushing herself up to her feet. She looked down at the tea stain and sighed a bit. Oh well. Not a big deal really, she thought with a shrug. Smiling she looked back up at him and out of habit reached out for his hand.

Back down in the garden two large rugs had been laid out on the patio, a white cloth in the centre. Food layed out on plates. All of his family were getting ready to eat. The children having their hands tapped as they tried to sneak bits of food away.
Ra led Obie over to sit with Parisa and his father on the kids 'table.' A blessing was said and then the eating began, even more lively and noisy than the day before.
