Anastazi blinked. "I already told you, our personal guard is comprised of those who have served my family loyally for over ten years. I will, however, consider giving you a position in my personal information network."
He stood and beckoned to Serefina to leave the room with them. One of the guards opened the doors, while the other approached Slifer.
Anastazi gestured to the open door. "After you." It was not a request, but a command. As he made to follow Slifer out the door, he turned to his sister and said quietly, "Thank you, Serefina."

She blinked, she had not expected her brother to thank her for anything, to be honest she wasn't sure what she was being thanked for but simply accepted "Of course Anastazi" Following after them so he could lock the door to his study, he may not trust but it was with good reason, she had already gotten in several times so it didn't matter to her.
She was still interesting in seeing her brother possibly spar anyways so she happily went along. She felt confident in her brother's abilities even tho she hadn't seen them before. It would be over soon and then she could finish packing, get some sleep and then on the road to Laburnum in the morning.

Slifer smiled as he entered the duelling arena. He stood and looked around, before drawing his katana. He smiled and began stretching whilst he lay his katana down. He seemed to be incredibly flexible. His tail curled round his waist so it wouldn't get in his way. He then picked his katana up and began some slashes and jabs.
He shook his hair and placed it behind his ears before taking a proper stance to begin with. His feet in good formation and katana balanced as one would a fencing sword. He smiled, he felt pretty confident he was going to win.

((I hope you're not wearing shoes, Slifer.))
The dueling room was on the first floor, down the stairs from the study. The floor was a smooth ironwood finish, the boards tightly fitted against one another and sanded to a perfect, ridgeless finish.
One wall was covered floor to ceiling with mirrors, while the rest were laden with various hooks and shelves. It looked somewhat like a dancing studio, except for the armor and weponry hanging around.
Anastazi removed his shoes as soon as he stepped into the room, standing and looking at Slifer somewhat condescendingly. He would have to have the floor cleaned now. Not that it wasn't cleaned after every duel that scuffed anything up, but it was something that should happen during the duel, not before it.
He quietly padded to the center of the room after removing his spectacles and handing them to Serefina, but his sword remained in its sheath.
"My guards will act as marshals. When one of them cries 'HOLD' we both freeze. If you do not, you may find yourself lacking not only weapon, but the arm it was bransished in. Are we clear?" He paused slightly, waiting for an answer, then continued. "This is a test of skill. I wan tto see your speed, your strength, how you respond to certain types of attacks. NOT a duel. I am not trying to kill you, and you are not trying to kill me. I however, will not pull my blows, as an assailant would not either. I expect you to fully be able to defend yourself from them."

At the movement forward of each of the stallion's legs people would move out of the way. This was to be expected though. While the common people swarmed the streets of Cameliard they would always move. At least when one looking to be of importance moved though. This would have been a great description of Alexander at the moment. Sitting tall in the saddle, one hand resting upon the pommel while another guided the reins. The long red cape had been thrown over his shoulder to reveal the underside colored just like the foreside. Steel-plated armor covered much of his body, even goining as far as leg guards upon his legs. Yet muscle allowed all of this to be worn at once. Not that it was not quite a task, Alexander was already sweating.
Yet this would not stop his movements forward. Sweat was nothing to him, the protection offered was much more important. Yet it was obviously harsh upon the horse as could be seen by how the animal's head sagged forward. More then once would make a soft sound of annoyance at it's master's weight. Not that Alexander would understand, instead taking it as a sign to nudge his knees closer to make the animal speed up. Not that he had anywhere to be, this was only a relaxing ride. Yet there was certainly no reason to be slow about it.

Fina' took his glasses smiling, her own slippers already removed out of habit tho she would not be sparring herself.Kissing his cheek before leaning back to watch " Win well" His rules sounded sensible as they were the ones she most often played by herself. She was content for the moment simple to watch and wait for her brother to destroy the neko.

Slifer nodded and took his shoes off quickly "Are you ready?" he said smiling "But how about something else. If i win, i accompany you to Labernum, if i loose, i will clean to lavatories for 6 months" he said smiling now. It seemed a fair deal, he added afterwards "If you think your good enough" then smiled.
He flexed once more and looked at Anastazi. Awaiting an answer and for him to start the duel. Slifer was ready, the deal would just tenderize the item. Smiling to himself cunningly he took on a serious face, one that wasn't stupid. No one of a killer, one of an assasin for good.

Anastazi sniffed. "You still speak of winning and losing. Obviously, you did not understand any of what I just said. And I make no such deals. I have no need. If you are good enough to be accepted into my service, you may come to Laburnum with us. However," His eyes narrowed, "Should I find you lacking, you will not be allowed to remain in this household, not EVEN to clean the lavatories. Do I make myself clear?"
Anastazi drew his sword and waited for the Marshalls to call the begining.

Slifer stood there sword drawn. He watched Anastazi very carefully, his cat like reflexes should give him an edge. He watched as he looked at Anastazi, the feet were important though, the way they moved determined which move he would make next, a jab or a side slice. He watched with close eyes and waited for him to make the first move.
His body was loose however, not tense as someone elses would be. His cat eyes diluted in the light. His nose twitched, he ignored incoming smells, they weren't important here. He blinked a few times and waited the command to go. He felt anticipation as the seconds past like hours.

As the marshals shouted, "Lay on!" Anastazi moved quickly to the left. If his guess was right, Slifer would be quick enough to block a side attack, especially on the first move of the fight. He moved in on Slifer's right side and made a downward slash at Slifer's legs while shifting his weight to pass behind the boy once he was countered.

Serefina hoped Stazi got out of this spar whatever he was wanting. She didn't really see much point in the effort personally, but she trusted her brother to have his reason just as she did in what she did. She would do everything in her power to make her appear unsuitable as a wife without crossing the line to scandelous.
For the moment thos she just peered through Stazi's glasses, chuckling with what she saw before folding them back and going back to watching the fight once more, fighting back a yawn. Perhaps a carriage to Laburnum wouldn't be so bad then at least she could get some decent sleep even if it meant she couldn't give 'Noir ' his rein.

Slifer saw the attack coming and placed his sword tip down toward the floor as to stop the attack. As the swords clashed a few sparks were given off. He smiled and watched Anastazi shift his weight. Slifer followed suit and began shifting to counter Anastazi. His sword also came up so he could block Anastazi's next attack from any position. He smiled as he looked at Anastazi while turning with him.
Slifer watched as Anastazi was still moving slightly and Slifer had stopped moving. His mind buzzed with thought, he tried to block out all other thoughts, and just consider the fight going on. Block all other elements, this wasn't a fight in the wilderness, it was a controlled fight.

(( Okay, since I've apparently been conscripted to give you a brief runthrough on quality fighting, I took a look at all this, and from what I'm seeing, it's not nearly as bad as they described it to be. Though clarity, I think, is your issue... Lets start. )) Slifer_Ozura Slifer saw the block coming and the shift in weight. (( This is just undeniably wrong... He saw the ATTACK coming, since he was being attacked... and the WHAT? You can't really see a shift in weight coming when it hasn't even begun to happen... It was attack, THEN shift the weight when the attack was blocked, as he anticipated it would be... Meaning, until Silfer blocks, the weight is not shifted. It's not really like: "*Points.* Whoa! He's shifting to the left in preparation!" )) Silfer He blocked the attack and moved to block one from behind. His block was a downward one, almost as though he was sticking the tip of his sword into the ground. At the same time also left himself to block if Stazi changed his mind about a blow from the back. (( The description for the first block was good, but misplaced. It should have been up, before you mentioned that he moved again, so as not to confuse. As for the second one... I don't see how he can move to block something that isn't happening... Sure, he can put himself in a position so that he could block something if it were to come, but that would imply that you were to state how he adjusted his grip on the weapon to prepare for that. I see none of that description here. )) Silfer At the same time he shifted his weight to suit his new position better. (( And this... arbitrary 'shifting of weight' is a tad sub-par... mmkay? All in all, simply work on detailing a bit, and try to clean it up so it's not quite so confusing. I'll have to see more before I make a call on whether or not the claims that you need some lessons are justified. 3nodding "Thank you, come again." ))

As some old guy on a horse was riding toward her, Clet was in the middle of the conclusion of the vicious duel. Henry came swooping down on William dramatically, playslashing at his throat and winning the duel. The crowd went wild, the roosters took a bow, and the crowd began to quickly disberse. With a huge grin on her face, Clet began scooping up the small pile of gold coins passerby had dropped at her feet. This was enough to keep herself, Henry, William, and The Third fed for weeks, and they had enjoyed doing it a lot. Maybe she should put on a show everyday...

It would seem that Alex had picked an excellent time to pass by this street. Dark brown eyes beneath his gray slicked hair would glance outward, washing over a crowd of people. They seem to have gathered around someone. Above the mass, due to his veiwing point upon the horse, a flash of blue hair could be seen. Yet this person did not seem to be the focus of the people. No voice except the cat-calls of the whatchers drifted forward. There was no singing, no music, just strange sounds that emerged from inside of the ring.
"What is this?"
Alexander had rode forth towards the circle without much thought to ask a man this question. The man in question was tall, standing almost even with the horse now positioned beside him. Clothed in the common clothing, mostly brown work trousers and a simple tunic, he looked up at Alexander in suprize. A noble speaking to a commoner? It was truly not something that happened every day. Even more so a noble with such reputation amongst the guards. This man did not seem to know of Alexander's reputation though. For his answer rolled forth easily, though a dignified tone was forced.
Ah not...I mean M'lord, nothing much here. Just some girl and her pet chickens. Seem to be trained to fight? Great show it is!"
The man spoke quickly near the end, his eyes heading back towards the chickens in question. Alexander's eyes would follow as well, whatching as the birds executed smooth staged attacks. The show did not last much longer though. Obviously the older man had arrived at the end. A shame really, but it had drawn his attention none the less. The crowd would disperse somewhat as the chickens and their owner bowed, most of them talking about the show they had just witnessed. Alexander on the other-hand would move closer, guiding his horse to make sure to not crush one of the fowl.
"Truly a wonderful show, you must be quite talented to train these fowl?"
A simple question spoken in a luxerious tone. Still though, Alexander's eyes bore down on her by instinct alone. It was not so much of a harsh look as one that commanded respect at the least. The look of one with age and military training, many of them had it. Alexander was far from an exception.
