Unaru

Destitute Gawker

PostPosted: Mon Jan 08, 2007 10:38 pm

Unaru didn't have the time to react nor did he have the chance with the force in which Dynast had lunged at him. Dynasts jaws tore into Unaru's flesh, his jugular was the first thing that Dynasts maw met with. As he jerked his head back tear the veins and tedons out from which he had grabbed they all snapped or tore with a gut wrenching ripping sound. Blood, and plenty of it. Gushing out everywhere Unaru quickly went unconcsious and his eyes slowly glazed over as he fell limp. The blood splatter over dynast's face and splashed to the ground. The wet pool floor only made it travel faster. No one could miss the grusome sight. Easilly more than half of Unaru's blood now stained the ground.

The shrieking of pain echoed in Inu’s ears as she continued to stand glued to her spot, her body shaking from head to toe. No matter how much she tried to will herself forward her feet refused to move. Though she wanted to help her body at least knew what would come of her trying to fight Dynast. Frightened all she could manage to do at this point was bring up her trembling hands to cover her ears, trying to drowned out the sounds that would more than likely haunt her for a long time to come.

When Unaru stepped in to help Inu had a faint sense of hope that maybe the situation would change. And change it did but only for the worse. A small whimper escaped Inu’s throat as Yuki wailed out in pain from the claw intruding his right eye. It all went downhill from there as Dynast reared his head back and speared Yuki with his demonic horns and shortly after flung his lifeless body into the pool. From that moment on it was all a blur until Inu finally realized she was moving at a break neck speed for the poolside. She couldn’t recall ever moving from her spot but now she found herself at the edge of the pool and diving in before she could give it a second thought, swimming as fast as she could to Yuki’s sinking form. Once at his side she reached out for his arm making to take hold with a death grip, though she was uncertain how she was going to bring him to the surface. He was nearly twice her size but that wasn’t going to stop her from trying in the least.

Vash cursed himself over and over for hesitating, but now it was too late as Yuki made an unwilling splash in the pool and began to sink. A blur caught his attention and before he could mentally piece what was happening together, Inu had already dived into the pool after Yuki. “INU!!” He started for the pool but realized he would be of no use. He would only be more dead weight and more than likely get Inu hurt. He could only hope that she would be all right on her own.

Turning back to the situation at hand, Vash found that he was once again to late to help as Dynast bite into Unaru’s neck and shoulder, shredding and tearing the flesh like it was tissue paper. And now Vash didn’t have a clear shot, he really was useless. Growling he ran forward, leaving Inu to fend for herself at the moment. With any luck she would be okay, but she was in less danger at the moment than Unaru was as his blood began to pool on the floor. Taking a flying leap toward Dynast, Vash drew up his gun waiting until the last second when he would practically be on top of his enemy before he would fire.

Aisuru stifled a yawn with the back of her hand as she continued to watch the others like she was watching a casual game of toss. Placing her hands behind her head she shifted her weight from one foot to the other as she watched Yuki get punted into the pool. She only just managed to hold back her laughter realizing that it would more than likely upset Hitsuzen. At that thought the mazoku glanced back and caught Hitsu’s frightened and panicked gaze and huffed a small sigh. She might have to help out soon…. How troublesome.

Hearing the ripping of flesh from bone, Aisuru turned her focus back on Dynast and found Unaru in a less than lively state, his blood collecting on the floor. This still didn’t prompt her to move in and help however as she continued to wait it out for the opportune moment.

[I have the feeling this isn't going to be nearly as long when posted as it looks in the reply window, but hopefully I haven't forgotten anything. And... Hopefully the post was worth the wait, somehow or another. XD He'll start reverting back soon, for the record.]

[At some point I actually plan to bring Sphinx downstairs, honestly I do. However, Inu herself mentioned that overhearing all of the screaming, gunshots and inhuman sounds... The twins would most likely be saying equivalents of '******** that' and staying right where they are. I'm not sure how different Sphinx would be, considering who's involved.]

At the sight of Dynast's final assault on Yuki, Hitsu felt as though she'd been punched in the chest. To her, it seemed like everything moved in slow motion as he was sent those several feet toward the pool. By the time he'd hit the water, she was there, diving in without any thoughts prior other than to save her 'brother'. If it weren't for being alarmed, she may have shown surprise toward Inu, but instead only grabbed hold of Yuki's other arm. He'd already nearly reached the bottom, with no air in his lungs to keep him buoyant, but this permitted the two retrieving him to push off from the bottom in order to surface faster.

Once their heads were above water again, Hitsu struggled toward the side of the pool before reaching out to grab hold of the edge and pull herself out. Getting herself to her feet wasn't the hard part, not compared to trying to drag Yuki out by what arm she held. She could only hope that the both of them could manage, if only just to pull him out enough to keep him from sliding back in. As she waited for Inu to get out as well and help her tug Yuki out, Hitsu stared at the wounds. Somehow, her urge to cry over everything happening around them had subsided, replaced with concern for their lives, and a quickly growing anger. The chaos behind her was temporarily unacknowledged as she focused on trying to get Yuki back to partial safety.

This blood; Unaru's blood. There would be no doubt that Dynast got a well sized taste of it. It brought great satisfaction to the beast, simply to know that he'd succeeded in causing injury. More than injury, the creature could hope. There would be no level of remorse for his deeds, but perhaps a regret that he was not in his right mind to witness such events. As Unaru's lifeless form was released as quickly as he'd grabbed hold, Dynast left his second victim to fall toward the floor, maw dropping from it what flesh and material it had torn away from his body. He had no interest in it, his own means of feeding had filled him long before.

However, this would not stop him. So long as there were those foolish enough to bring themselves within reach, he would destroy whatever he could catch. Vash would be forced to learn this the hard way, and even in his state Dynast could recall that bullet to the face that he'd gotten not too long before. He'd not been blind, that flash of red had caught his attention from one corner of his eye as he'd dropped Unaru. Jaws parted, lips curling back to bare those jagged, bloodied teeth. Reaching out for this 'arm' of his as he turned his upper body to face the blonde, Dynast would close both hands around it. Tightening his grasp on the left wrist, or what should have been, he aimed to crush bone. Fortunately, or perhaps not quite so, there was no bone. In Vash's case, what damage might be done may or may not prove just as devastating in such a desperate situation.

In his focus of one, Dynast nearly suffered another gunshot to a less than desirable area. Just as quickly as he could release Vash, or rather attempt to use his own momentum and an aided pull to send him toward the tile wall, Dynast wheeled around to narrowly miss the bullet that ended up harmlessly whizzing past the left side of his head. The only remaining so-called pet in the room had leapt at him as well, and Dynast swung a massive arm at Vincent to quite literally swat him away as though he was nothing more than a pesky insect. Growling in what could be assumed frustration, he turned his attention and backside to all others as Vincent managed an all too graceful landing. Dynast didn't much care for people who could land on their feet... He'd have to do something about that.

(Skipping a post for Aisuru this round...because she's just not going to do anything until provoked XD; )

When Hitsu joined Inu on the other side of Yuki, she was a little relieved to have some help. She was on the verge of panicking until that point. Pushing off the bottom on the pool Inu swam as hard as she could until they all finally broke through the water’s surface. Before she could get a good breath of air Hitsuzen was already on the move toward the edge of the pool, so for a few short seconds Inu was just along for the ride until she was able to catch up. Once at the edge Inu waited while Hitsu climbed out of the pool and did her best to hold Yuki up above water until Hitsu was able to grab a good hold of his arm. Following suit, Inu climbed out as well and put all her might into dragging Yuki out of the pool.

Once Yuki’s torso was completely on solid ground, Inu relaxed her grip a little. She was currently focused on the wounds, more so the huge gapping hole in his chest. How could she have let herself get carried away enough to let this happen? If she had been in her right mind, Yuki would have never been hurt. Wide-eyed she mouthed an apology, but her voice wouldn’t work.

As Vash neared Dynast and readied to fire he was startled to find that the beast had grabbed a hold of the open barrel that was his arm and crushed it, preventing him from firing at close range. Cursing aloud Vash only had a few short seconds to struggle as Dynast held on to his arm before flinging him toward the adjacent wall. It was a short trip with the amount of force that Dynast had put behind his throw and Vash found himself crashing into the wall with enough power to knock a few bricks loose from the wall. Falling to the ground, Vash was somehow able to gather himself together quickly, got to his feet, and began attack number two.

With any luck Vincent and he would be able to keep the beast distracted long enough for the others to escape, but then there was the concern of Unaru. He needed help soon but there was no way that they’d be able to get him out safely with Dynast still standing over him. Gritting his teeth, ignoring the pain, Vash ran toward Dynast for the second time, aiming to punch him with his fake arm. If he couldn’t use the gun he was going to use it for something.

As Inu, Hitsu seemed to be absorbed in looking over Yuki's wounds. The longer she surveyed the damage, the cloudier her head seemed to become. She could hear the struggles of Vincent and Vash behind her clearly, and her other senses had begun to pick up on Unaru's state even without her laying eyes on him. From the scent, she knew she did not want to turn around. She already knew that he held as much life in him as her brother, but would Unaru's inhuman blood save him?

She scanned over the deep lacerations in Yuki's flesh, all of which oozing the tar like substance that coursed through him. His stomach held a gaping hole easily half the size of his own head, which had done it's fair share of bleeding, and aiding in giving the water around them a much darker tint. The area of the pool that he'd landed seemed to possess a gray cloud, and more trailed from what on him still bled despite his lack of pulse, slowly making way to the water's edge with the help of what dripped from he and the two who'd pulled him out. Hitsu's attention paused only briefly on his face. His jaw was set, and she'd assumed he'd clenched it as he fought against his pain. She took in a short, quick breath at the sight of what remained of his right eye, and the half-closed, clouded left. That dead gaze, while nearly bringing back those handicapping human emotions, was the last thing she could take. She finally turned her back to the lifeless Yuki, drawing one arm up from her side, expression murderous.

Just as quickly as Vincent's feet had hit the floor, he'd taken aim again. His bullets were running low, but that certainly wasn't going to stop him from sinking every last one of them into Dynast. Or, trying. In the instant that he had been ready to fire, his hand gave a startled jerk that sent the shot far from where he'd originally intended it to go. He cursed under his breath, but would have sooner missed than shot Vash, who had taken it upon himself to get too close for Vincent to take aim comfortably with Dynast moving around as much as he was.

Bellowing his annoyance at Vash's persistence, Dynast made a quick attempt to grab hold of him again. This time, he'd hurl him away with his own strength. Instead of the wall, which seemed less useful for a stopping point than he'd hoped, he'd send him flying toward Vincent in an attempt to take the both of them down in one blow.

[Cutting that short, because I decided it might be best to wait for a reply before I continue. XD Permission to be autoish or not, I'll still wait and see what Vash does.]

Dropping to her knees Inu reached out a shaky hand to touch Yuki’s shoulder. She still lacked a voice to say the apology that kept haunting her lips as they moved wordlessly. Eyes still wide with shock, Inu finally laid a hand on his lifeless shoulder and shook him lightly. When she got no response she tried again out of desperation. Nothing. Moving a weary gaze up to his face Inu looked even more shocked if possible, the blood draining from her face, at the sight of Yuki’s eye, or the lack there of. He’s dead, he’s really dead. Its all my fault!

Retracting her hand, Inu curled up in a tight little ball next to Yuki shaking uncontrollably her gaze fixed to the floor. The longer she stared at the floor the more her mind began to wonder from reality to somewhere else, to somewhere dark and foreboding. Mind set her pupils began to elongate into cat slits and then revert back just as quickly as if she were battling for control. At this point they may not have just Dynast to worry about.

Aiming another attack on Dynast, Vash found himself once again being foiled in his plan as Dynast snagged him from the air and hurled him toward Vincent. Arms flailing, Vash could only hope that Vincent could dodge in time to avoid him since he was doing a lame job of it himself.

Vincent's eyes grew wide for an instant, partly in shock of the fact that Vash had been thrown in his direction. However, something aside from Vash and Dynast had caught his eye, and in result he neglected to snap back to his senses in time to leap aside. Sure enough, Vash crashed into him and sent them both falling into a heap. Seeming well enough unscathed from their sudden meeting with the floor, Vincent made to shove whatever of Vash had landed on top of him as he set his eyes on Dynast.

Dynast, looking as smug as a were beast could, had taken one large step toward the fallen pair, only to be stopped dead in his tracks. With a shrill wail of pain, he staggered to one side as he repositioned his legs to keep his footing. The beast looked from what proved to be the end result of an Icicle Lance embedded in his right side, to the one who had sent it into him; Hitsuzen. Jaws curled back into what almost appeared as a grin, before Dynast grasped the lance and pulled it out, then snapped it in half with one hand as if it were a toothpick.

In the instant Vash made contact with Vincent he made an attempt to at least shield his face as they both went crashing to the floor. And there Vash found himself atop of Vincent in the most awkward way and before they ended up nose to nose Vincent had pushed him off and onto the floor. Never, in his whole life, had Vash been so relieved to be shoved aside. Taking a much needed breath Vash sprung to his feet once again and faced Dynast, but the beast was no longer focused on them. Instead, Dynast was now looking down at the ice lance in his side and then to Hitsu, who apparently been the one to throw it.

To say the least Vash was a little shocked to see this side of Hitsuzen, she didn’t seem to be the kind of person to exert courage on a random whim…..but then again she did have the murderous glint in her eyes which was probably understandable at this point considering how things were going. Unaru and Yuki were badly if not fatally injured, Vincent and he were moving at a break neck speed to the injured part, and Inu….Panic. Vash had completely forgotten to keep an eye on Inu. Desperately looking around he finally caught sight of her shivering form next to Yuki. Well, at least for the moment she was unhurt but she was by no means in a safe place with Dynast the way he was.

Turning to Vincent with a questioning gaze, “So what do we do?” He was having no luck at fighting Dynast on his own. He only ended up being an oversized football to the beast, or dodge ball in Vincent’s case. Hopefully Vincent would have a plan so that they could work together and soon before Hitsuzen managed to get hurt.

A soft clapping sound came from Aisuru’s direction as she gave Hitsu some praise in the form of a gulf clap. Coming from her it was the next best thing to having confetti and streamers go off with a large banner to drop down that would say congratulations. Interested in what Hitsu might do, Aisuru kept watch with a mischievous grin on her face. There was more of her brother coming out in her everyday.

There were no words for her anger, many threats and curses flew through her mind, but none seemed to put a dent in the amount of damage that had been done. He'd hurt them before, even brought them to death's doorstep before, but this time was different. It wasn't just about Orion, Inu or Unaru. It wasn't even entirely about Yuki really, she had just reached her breaking point of dealing with this torture. Something had to stop, and even if her efforts may be brief, and temporary, she planned on ending this display of chaos very, very soon. Casting a glare upon the deformed fabrication of the one she hated and feared more than any living creature, it took her only a moment to formulate what might suit the beast.

Drawing back her right arm, she closed her hand around what seemed nothing but air. A hard flick of the wrist as she brought the limb foreword again proved otherwise. From her closed palm there sparked to life a thin rope of glowing energy; Balus Rod. The length of it extended and advanced on Dynast until the weapon reached it's completion just close enough to give him a sharp lashing across the muzzle. Just as quickly as the whip had made contact, she'd moved closer and swung it again. This time it dealt no direct damage, but instead coiled tightly around his left horn. Positioning herself, Hitsu took the force of all of her weight against him in an attempt to bring him down.

Barely given a moment to bring a hand to the gash upon his face, Dynast found himself stumbling foreword. The sudden movement, while bringing dizziness for an instant, did not do as planned. Planting his feet to keep himself vertical, he gave his head a swift jerk backward. Feeling the tension against him cease, and figuring that he'd either shaken her off or pulled her within reach he glared foreword again. This time directly into one of her open palms, and in his surprise he did not react quickly enough to avoid a point blank Fireball to the right side of his head. Half blinded, he gave a feral cry and took two giant steps backward as he vainly brought a hand to his eye in wishing the burning would fade.

All the while, Vincent could only look on. This was, certainly, nothing he'd laid eyes upon before. He wasn't quite sure what to make of it. To Vash, he slowly shook his head. "I'm... I'm not sure if there's any need..." He replied, taking their moment without threat to get to his feet again. Gaze trailed over to Aisuru briefly, just who was she anyway? Why was she not offering assistance?
PostPosted: Wed Jan 31, 2007 7:48 pm

Vash, discontented with that answer, fidgeted in place trying to figure out what to do that wouldn’t bring danger to anyone….or fail for that matter. Nothing came to mind so he too took Vincent’s interest in the young violet haired girl just standing off to the side. Was she going to do anything? And why did she have that half amused expression on her face as she watched Hitsu pummel Dynast?

Sensing eyes on her, Aisuru turned her gaze toward Vincent and Vash without moving her head. They were an odd “couple”. Or at least she automatically labeled them as such since they were standing together. Whether they really were or not didn’t matter. Catching Vincent’s fixated gaze Aisuru finally turned her head in a lopsided manner to give him a short grin to show her fangs before she turned her attention back to Hitsu.

At this point, Inu had completely shut down. She sat on the floor with her knees drawn up to either side of her head, and her hands holding her skull as if it might explode if she didn’t. Her eyes continued to switch between normal and cat slits and her breathing became heavy and somewhat labored. Still focused on the floor she tried to drown everything out, like she wasn’t here, but she couldn’t help but glance up and catch site of Yuki again which would only made things worse.

Hitsu gave a faint, almost demented grin. So something had managed to succeed, and this raised her confidence slightly. In what seemed the blink of an eye another, yet smaller, blade of ice formed within her right hand. In one swift movement, it was thrust upward toward his lower abdomen. Clearly, she did seem to find it fitting to give him a near literal taste of his own medicine.

While not reacting quick enough to save himself completely from being impaled, Dynast took hold of the cold weapon before it had the opportunity to puncture past a couple of inches or so. Opposite hand took hold of Hitsu by one shoulder, jerking her to one side to cause her to lose grasp. Once this was accomplished, he jerked the shard from his stomach and quickly released her and made use of it. Though, not as she had. One swift swing and he'd made contact with her skull, easily sending her crashing to the floor. After this, Dynast discarded the weapon, thrusting it to one side to shatter against the floor.

As what might have been a promising situation had just backfired, there came clear signs of life from Yuki. Beginning with a sharp intake of air, which immediately went wrong. Inhaling what blood had collected in the back of his throat caused him to choke, followed by a heave that sent it up once more. With a rasping gasp against his discomfort, he rolled to one side away from Inu and did his best to prop himself up on an elbow as he continued to gag and expel the tar-like substance from his stomach and lungs. At least he wasn't dead, but his current status was certainly not to be considered a good one. Once he'd managed to lift his head to examine what had happened in his less than lively state, he mentally swore at himself. Free hand reached for what was left of his damaged right eye, he clenched his jaw against what was coming, and forcibly dug out the remaining flesh and tossed it aside. His eyelid was again able to close, as the new ocular took it's time to form. Smaller wounds had begun to slowly repair themselves, though Yuki obviously was not as quick to recover as Dynast.

Curiosity shifted to that of mild irritation as Aisuru gave what Vincent took as a mocking gesture. Though a moment later his attention to her had been jerked away with the harsh sound of Dynast's strike, immediately drawing his gun and taking aim. Trigger finger poised, he did not fire. What good had it been? Dynast had lost interest in Hitsu just as quickly as she'd hit the ground from the look of it, but who would be next?
PostPosted: Sat Feb 17, 2007 7:10 pm

Once Hitsu hit the floor Aisuru’s bored expression turned to borderline murderous. Finally she had deemed that enough was enough and the quickest way to end this would be the best. Flexing her fingers the nails began to lengthen into long sharp talon like claws. Taking a step toward Dynast, ready to attack, Aisuru phased from sight only to appear levitating right behind the beast. Reaching out she made to grab hold of his neck just below the skull and sink her claws in all the way to insure a good grip. Once her hand was in place she left little time for Dynast to react as she lifted upward pulling Dynast off the floor only to throw him back toward it with a bone crushing force.

Gazing down at Dynast, a devilish grin spread across her face, the first real emotion she had yet show. Shaking the black liquid from her fingertips Aisuru drew her hand up and took grip of what looked like nothing more than air. A second later red sparks began to fly from her palm and eventually formed into a long crimson sword, Ruby-Eye Blade. Taking hold of the blade with both hands, Aisuru faced the tip of the continuously sparking sword at Dynast’s fallen form and made to plunge it where his heart should have been if he had one. At the very least she aimed to trap him in place with the sword, like one would mount a butterfly with a pin.

Mumbling to herself, Inu tried to make herself believe she was elsewhere, but it was becoming increasingly harder. Hearing an odd mix of labored breathing and hacking, Inu looked up again to gaze upon Yuki’s lifeless form….but he wasn’t there. Not in the same place anyway but a foot or so away, propped up, picking left over pieces of his eye out of his now empty socket.

Stumbling backward in shock, Inu pointed a shaky hand at Yuki. Unable to process his not so dead state her brain went into overdrive and already began to fabricate illusions of zombies in her mind. Drawing in a hard, sharp breath, Inu let out a load scream that echoed throughout the poolroom. It was obvious she was in panic and her mind was slipping away. Pulling herself back a little further, Inu’s eyes took on an almost glossy look, pupils narrowing into cat slits for the final time.

Hearing the scream, Vash turned toward Inu’s direction and started to head that way without even knowing what was going on. When he was close enough to assess the situation, Vash froze on the spot to see Yuki up….or at least some what up considering what he had just gone through. Vash had been more than convinced that anyone would be at the very least knocked out cold for quite some time if not knocking on death’s door. Inu however was not sharing his mild shock, in fact she had far surpassed it and was leaning toward totally freaked out and panicked. Unsure how to handle this Vash tried to approach her slowly. “Hey….Inu…its okay.”

It was Yuki that Dynast had turned his attention on again, furious growl rumbling in his chest. He'd formed a plot quickly enough in his murderous mood, that perhaps if he tore him to pieces there would be no chance of the little b*****d regenerating himself again. No matter how many times he seemed to try and kill him, he just kept coming back. He was like a ******** cockroach! His own blood seeped from the small wounds Hitsuzen had given him, and with this loss of blood there were small changes to Dynast's form. Not enough to notice, at least not yet.

However, just as he'd raised one massive hind paw from the ground, there came a searing pain from the base of his skull. Roaring out and flailing his legs as his feet left the ground, he reached behind his head with both arms in an attempt to pry away Aisuru's claws. His attempt was in vain as she just as quickly hurled him back down headfirst at the tile, he gave a cry as he crashed snout first into it, landing hard and lying in a panting heap. He was close to exhaustion after all of this, left with no time to recover and barely even enough time to roll over. He'd lacked the sense through his arrogance and rage to flee. Perhaps he hadn't even noticed Aisuru standing away from the chaos, but she had certainly made herself known. In his correct state of mind, Dynast would have done well to give the demoness some space. His lessons learned were never simple, this emphasized as the sickening sound of Aisuru's strike rang out. Blade cutting into and clean through the beast, bringing with it a massive volume of the tar-like blood that coursed within him. Everywhere. No loss of blood would kill him, it was never easy to completely end a Mazoku's life, but it certainly seemed to speed his body into reverting back to it's normal size and state. The effects of Inu's bite would not have been permanent, but the wounds seemed to bleed the 'poison' out even faster.

A second after going about his manual eye removal, Yuki had situated himself to sit up and face foreword. As though all seemed completely normal, Yuki had paid no mind to Aisuru's battle with Dynast. Perhaps he already knew the outcome. One arm had curled around the gaping hole in his stomach as he still panted and groaned against his pain, the other shaking as he struggled to keep himself upright. He didn't even know that Inu was next to him, not until she screamed. This certainly startled him, and he also drew in a quick breath, only to choke up and send himself into a very unwelcome fit of coughing. He brought both arms to his wound, clenching them tightly as though he could cease the waves of pain his coughing brought about. It also quickly brought more heaving as he aggravated his own injuries, and he nearly fell foreword and back into the water in slumping foreword to expel more blood.

Turning attention to Inu and Yuki in unison with Vash, Vincent had reluctantly holstered his gun and also approached. His shock toward Yuki's condition, however, seemed next to none. There was no pause or second thought, and he reached Yuki just in time to take hold of one of his shoulders before he needed rescuing again. Vincent kneeled next to him, positioning himself to both aid Yuki and keep his eyes on the situation with Dynast and this new demon. He was convinced that she could be nothing less.

Sword still buried deep within Dynast’s chest and through the floor on the other side Aisuru held it tightly as she touched down beside him. Facing him, a wicked smile spread almost the full length of her face as she put her next step into action…literally. Placing the heel of her right foot on his head she pressed down with a grinding motion to ensure that Dynast could feel every bit of it. “What’s wrong? Do you no longer want to play?”

Although Dynast was slowly changing back to his normal form, it didn’t stop Aisuru in the least. Leaning down, putting more pressing on the foot against his skull, Aisuru chuckled at his current state. “Didn’t see me did you?” Driving the sword a little further in, Aisuru continued on. “Well, I’m sure you know I’m here now but I’m afraid that this is rather boring so I’m going to keep our little meeting brief.” Waiting a few seconds to let Dynast get any last words in, Aisuru forced her foot forward to roll Dynast’s head to the side and continued on until the action would inevitably snap his neck. For any normal person that would cause instant death, but for a mazoku it would only serve to keep him knocked out for at least a short time while he recovered.

Still unsure how to help Inu at this point Vash placed a steady hand on her shoulder, but he got no reaction, not even a jerk of surprise. Leaning forward to look at her face, Vash saw the blank expression in her eyes. Kneeling down beside her, he shook her shoulder a little to try and get her attention. “Inu…” Nothing, she just continued to stare on with her void expression. It was like she had passed out but was still awake.

“Inu!” Vash shook a little harder but it still did nothing. Hard pressed for what to do he placed a hand behind Inu’s head and pressed her backward to have her lay down on the floor. Once laid out her body went completely limp and her eyes finally closed as if her body finally realized that it had indeed passed out.

Since there wasn’t much Vash could do for Inu at the moment he moved over to where Vincent was, “So how is he doing?” He looked Yuki over and once again confirmed that he was in fact alive. A little worse for wear but alive.

Even before Aisuru's feet had touched ground, Dynast's body was reverting back to it's 'normal' state. Body shrank back to a more humanoid size, as his form painfully shifted itself back to the form he held what seemed mere minutes before. Just as quickly as all had started, it was over. Once he'd opened his eyes to stare up at her, the crimson in them seemed to drain away and they soon became their usual cold gray. Aside from his wounds, Dynast was himself again. Or, so it seemed.

He winced as Aisuru took her heel to his head, clenching his jaw tightly against a whimper. He laid there, clearly defeated as she spoke. No, he hadn't seen her. He groaned against the further penetration of the sword. Considering how much blood covered him, it was hard to tell if what trailed from one side of his lips was from the sword's impaling or something earlier. Once Aisuru had gone silent, Dynast returned his gaze to her with a pained expression. "I-I... C-could-n't... S-st-stop..." He stammered, at a volume barely audible. Apparently, while he looked himself, that temporary curse of Unaru's still had it's hold. If he was going to beg for forgiveness, Aisuru certainly cut him short. Either from his exhaustion, or the cursed emotions, he did not make an effort to fight back. He only winced and shut his eyes tightly for what was to come, though there were quiet whimpers against his discomfort. With a loud crack soon reverberating from the walls, his body fell completely limp.

Hitsuzen had been on the edge of consciousness for a few seconds, though the dialogue seemed nothing more than hums and buzzing as her consciousness came about. The snapping of bone, however, seemed to bring her back to her senses. Quickly. Too quickly. She tried to sit up with a jolt, and only made herself dizzy in the process. "Ugh..." Pressing a hand to the fading bump on the side of her head, she swayed in spot a moment before daring to open her eyes to look around.

Yuki was alright, or heading in that direction. Good. Vincent and Vash were fine. Inu? Was she okay? Hitsu was concerned, but from here she saw no blood to suggest injury, and certainly Vash would have been frantic. She looked to her left, Aisuru had taken Dynast down. Hitsu would have to thank her for that later. Then, her stomach lurched. Who was helping Unaru? Jerking her head to her other side, vision reeling for a moment as her aching head caught up, she gasped. He was still there! Well, of course he was still there, but wasn't he a demon? Couldn't he recover like she, Yuki and Dynast could?

Scooting herself that couple of feet to close the distance between them, Hitsu reaching out to gently shake him by the shoulder. Why did she think something so simple would help? She was left to stare at him, at a complete loss. She brought a hand to her face and whimpered into her palm, becoming fearful and knowing full well that tears were on their way. Mazoku couldn't use white magic! How were they going to help him? What if Orion and Kakashi returned before they did? Was it already too late?

"Yuki, you might be needed shortly." Vincent murmured, staring toward Hitsu and Unaru. Yuki had reversed potentially serious damage that Dynast had done earlier when he aided Unaru with his frozen arm. He glanced toward Vash, giving no gesture to hint just how stupid he found such a question. Vash got no answer, however, as Vincent returned his attention to Yuki.

His heaving had finally passed, but thankfully Vincent was still keeping hold of him, so he didn't have to use what little strength he did have in keeping himself up. He could speak now, but that was about the limit of his capabilities before he regenerated enough to move without hurting himself. "Can't..." He replied quietly, staring foreword with a regretful expression. "It's only his magic I can counter..." He paused a moment, slumping foreword a bit more as he gripped his stomach again. He tried to swallow the lump in his throat, "Even if I could... I don't have enough strength right now..." How useful he was.
