You know it. I know it. There are just some chapters you HAVE to talk about, but since they aren't out in English yet, you fear speaking of it lest you ruin it for someone else.
Well never fear! This thread is here! Here you can squeal and rant and discuss the latest chapter of TRC out in Japan, and thank God for all those lovely people who scan it in for us each week. heart

[ Mana Wears Pink ] UmaMandy I don't think Fai's taking advantage of her.... he's more letting her talk and offering his services. They're both going through a lot of angst and so they need someone to talk to. And it's not like he's being touchy-feely (ahem... other words are coming into my head that I'd rather not say) around her. He's just kissing her hand. Agreed. I think he's just being all gentlemenly. heart heart heart I think they are cute together, though, so I might be biased. sweatdrop u r rigth they r really CuTE together

Phiso dimensional witch yuko Phiso lastairbender I don't know who Itachi is, but, for some reason, I don't think Fai would run from Ashura if he was like Ayame... From what I've read of RGV, which is...not much...I'm assuming that this Ashura would be like, the sketchy old version of Ashura that I know nothing about other than the fact that he randomly appears in the happy Ashura's body and is like..Yasha imma eat ur f4c3 n00b. Yay! I was wondering when holic was going to be updated... And, I can't wait for the next chapter of TRC!!
There are two Ashura in RGV - that's why I'm confused! The Sharano-Ashura was the Ceres's Ashura's son. The son was the one that knew Yasha; his father, Ceres-Ashura, was dead before the story even began.
Plus, the son had a split personality. In the beginning he was cute and rather mellow (I think?) and very kind...at the end, however, he sort of went into destructive mode and became sadistic and almost evil...But that's all within the RGV Ashura/son. (That's the one lab-chan mentioned.)

Ashura-ou! gonk
...You know, the CLAMP community is finally going to get a good look at that character. Ashura-ou (this version, anyway) has never really been awake for long periods of time in CLAMP-land (referring to RG Veda, where he again was put to sleep for some time), so no one really knows what to expect, ne? He could be an Itachi (X_X; ooh, scary) or an Ayame (which would also be scary, but in a funny way xd ).
At least there aren't any breaks for the next month! blaugh And XXXHOLiC is finally going to be updated in February, so all's good in the world! heart You mean I tachi from Naruto right, I hope not Itachi is really hot and besides the only reason Itachi killed his friend was to activate the sharingan (for those who now Naruto) and also kill his family. There are not many evidences how Ashura may be. I hope he does not kill Chii crying

Okay... Sakura is really getting on my nerves. I still am backing away from Fai too, but at least it (the.. change in character) was to be expected from him. I wish they'd get done with the emoness soon. I don't care if they aren't totally happy again, and I don't expect that of them, but the way how they're all hiding from eachother just annoys me. It seems like both Sakura and Fai are not trustworthy... though no one knows what their reasons for the way they're acting are. That too pisses me off, I just want to KNOW already. I'm so sick of waiting and dealing with their crap.

Bah, you aren't the only one irritated with Sakura right now. >_> I don't know if it's the loss of Syaoran or what, but she seems so out of character right now it's surreal. Then again, in CCS we never really got to see what she would be like if Syaoran was torn away from her. Here, not only was he snatched out of their hands but in a horribly brutal way as well: the Syaoran she knew died and became a heartless killer, while another Syaoran revealed himself and sort of took his place.
I know she's doing this all for Syaoran and her hope of reviving him again somehow (as well as trying to fix any wrongs that might have come from his transformation), and that she must feel guilty for everything, seeing as she's the type to see it all as her fault because it all stems from her power...but STILL. gonk I don't like seeing Sakura this inconsiderate. It's eerie, though I agree with a lot of people when I say that she's revealing much more Fai-like qualities than she originally let on.
We never did get to see angsty Sakura. She's always supposed to be happy and stuff - maybe this is what she's like when she's Subaru-level depressed. : / Makes me wonder what Tomoyo and Eriol would be like; they seem to be the last of the major CCS characters to not experience mass amounts of angst.
Fai...is no surprise. xd He's always been this type, and so I can't really complain outside of his worrisome idea (or rather, the theory) of leaving Kurogane. Surely Sakura can see that, if Fai leaves with her and that's her plan, that he won't last very long...? Fai needs Kurogane to live...then again, she's probably so distraught over Syaoran she's not paying attention, and besides Fai is probably willing to do anything to avoid Ashura-ou...
Poor Mokona. =( It must really suck to be that manjuu bun right now, especially with his super secret technique of sensing people's sadness...

I agree.
Also, Sakura said she was planning on going alone, not with Fai. Or something like that. Though they're both probably evil fuc- er, people, they want opposite things and I doubt Fai is going to go with Sakura to avoid Ashura-ou. He's gotta get it over with. Anyways, Ashura-ou would probably just follow him now that he's awake so there's no point.
I hate the way Sakura treats r-Syaoran, and I hate the way Fai treats Kurogane. At this point I don't care what their reasons are. They aren't making anything any better. Oh wait, for Sakura, she's making it better for herself. If she shoves everybody away that she knows will disagree with her, no one will interfere with her plans.
I think I found some selfish way that benefits Fai, but it was so tiny and stupid that I can't remember what it was. Oh too bad.
Anyways, as for Fai, please. He's not protecting anybody. He may think he is but he isn't. People care for him and are going to try to help him, it's too late, it doesn't matter, and I'm sure they're in great danger anyway since Ashura-ou has been watching them this whole time anyway.
Good job, you two.
Grrrrrrrr, I'm getting so pissed. I shouldn't be, it's only a manga but wtf those two shouldn't have to deal with their s**t and neither should the readers. I'm tired of waiting. stressed

Wow eek Syao-kun and Phiso-chan are looking so deeply into it.
I'll admit that Sakura is getting on my nerves a bit, but, I know too many people who are selfish like that (*cough*me*cough*) to think that her reasons are like evil and inconsiderate. Like, she's not wanting to let Fay, Kuro-tan and r/Syaoran travel with her cos she knows it's dangerous, and she doesn't want to get them hurt. In that way, she's like Watanuki. Not wanting to let her close ones get hurt but not understanding that letting herself get hurt in that way hurts others. Maybe she should go see that spider lady and learn a lesson. (Maybe I should do the same and get rid of this "I'd die to protect any of my friends" attitude... I know it's not noble)
Fai just bugs me anyway. He's cool, but he's really attracting attention cos he's hot, so now that it's all going downhill for him, I really don't care.
Who I'm most sorry for are Syaoran and Moko-chan

Okay, I think I was overexaggerating when I said that Fai was taking advantage of Sakura, but seriously, when was the last time your father or mother kissed your hand and said that your wishes was the same!? I know Fai and Sakura have always had a close realtionship but it maybe becuase their both really emo right now it just seems shady.
And Syoa-kun, I totaly agree with you. I'm sick of everyone keeping secrets from each other and i just want them to get over it already. I'm also tired of these chapters having NOTHING happening in them. I mean, it's just a bunch of talk. Stop talking about what you're going to do and just DO IT!!!
Also...I want to know what c/Syaoran has been doing all this time. eek Collecting feathers brutaly no doubt but still...something. Oh. and here's a question too. Does anyone have any leads on how that shadow guy Fei Wong Reed was talking too in the earlier volumes? It was either eight or six or something. He said that he was "the next installation in his plan" or something like that. Who is that guy! It seems like it's never being brought up again.

No it looked like an assassin guy. It was a dark shadowy figure. It wasn't r/Syaoran. I know he was in the bottle it was someone else. I dunno who it was!

The Spirit world or was it Jade? Was a long time ago. Oh wait, you mean when he shows up again in Piffle world....but...oh...well, how disapointing.

I was rereading vol. 1 today (because Sakura-chan gave it to me as a belated Christmas gift heart ) and I began to wonder (again) if the glass tunnel scene was one of those metaphors or a foreshadowing of an actual event. As I continued to read, I kept thinking about it, and kept remembering recent events - Fai, Syaoran, Xing Huo...
To jolt your memory, see it here.
Anyway, when Sakura's wings appeared and she threatened to be absorbed by that light, you cut to FWR. It was then that I noticed the engraving on his mirror.
Look familiar? Go back to the tunnel image and study the engravings on the side.
Ah...now you see...
Interesting, you say. But what does this have to do with anything? A coincidence? AH, I think not, my friend. Hitsuzen.
Based on the translation I read here, Sakura has the ability to see glimpses into the future. Nothing clear, of course - just snippets, like a scrapbook.
Cut to this and this. We had always assumed she was saying, "What was that? What just happened to me?" What if she was saying, "What did I just see this time? What's going to happen next?"
And then you remember the mirror's engravings, and the fact that the tunnel was included in this maybe-prophecy, and what happened to our dear Syaorans and how we're going to Ceres next...
DUN DUN DUN.
