Casey made her way carefully through the jungle-like forest twords the cafeteria. She stopped often to make sure the others were with her. Soon they came to the caffeteria. The lights were off and there it stood, idle in the darkness. She turned the handle and the door opened easily. The large room was dark. "The kitchens just ahead. What all do you think we'll need?" She whispered in a cheerful tone. She carefully walked in, her stride echoing with each step, and carefully made her way through the darkness. She made her way to the kitchen, and began fumbling against the wall. "Dang... Cant seem to find the lightswitch..." Finally her finger hit against a strange object on the wall. The lights flickered on. Casey yelped in pain, her hands covering her eyes. "Ow... That hurt." She laughed. "Silly me, staring at the lightbulb when I turned it on."
It took her a full miniute before the 'aurors' left and her eyes ajusted. The kitchen was large and well stocked. She smiled happily. She always enjoyed cooking... even if she was no good at it. She laughed, remembering countless times when she would get up as a kid and make hre parents breakfast. Even thought the toast was burnt, and the orange juice was weak her parents always at it with gratification.
Sadness filled her heart as homesickness bore heavily upon her. It didn't matter anyways. They hated her and she hated them. She hadn't spoken to them for years and there was no point dwelling on it now.
She opened several cupboard. Several were filled with dishes. Finally she came upon one filled with snack-assorted items. It was high up. She climbed atop a counter, smirking to herself. It was just like when she was a kid... She dug through the contents; throwing down a box of gramcrackers, two packages of stale jumbo-sized marshmallows, and a box of cheesenips.
She smiled in satisfaction. "I'm craving..." She sat there for a moment, trying to sort through her thoughts. "Eggs... and mabey some meat-" She stopped mid-snetance. "What the heack? Thats odd..." She pondered. She never liked eggs, and so it had been ever sence she was little. She shrugged off the feeling, and climbed down from the counter.
She raided the fridge next. Inside she found some graded cheese, creamcheese, holiday-pepperonies... and eggs. There was one thing she could make, and make well... "If we have some time I could throw togeather a cheeseball and it would be ready in a hour." She giggled, turning the egg over in her hands. She split it open carefully at the top, so the yolk and whites sat in it like a cup. She stared down at it curiously... 'I wonder...'

Malic was caught off guard with the sudden brightness, but he wasn't staring at the lightbulb, so it was more of a case of squinting until he was used to the sudden brilliance, then laughed lightly at Casey's comment.
He idly opened cupboards, not finding much of interest; sugar, tea, coffee, tinned beans, tomatoes, hotdogs, spam.. the canned list was endless. From the corner of his eye he saw the girl climb up on the counter and as he turned he was assaulted by a packet of gramcrackers and a box of cheesenips that caused a startled grunt from his throat.
Her cravings were odd? Sounded like she fancied a good ol' English breakfast. Well it probably was morning by now anyway.
"A cheeseball?" He asked, never hearing of such a thing and went over to where she was staring at the cracked egg in her hand.
"Never knew how people could eat it raw." He pondered aloud, as the way she had the egg made him think she was going to down it there and then.
Malic place the two packets he had been cradling onto the counter and pulled up his sleaves, then picked up an egg between his middlefinger and thumb. He gazed at it as Casey said 'I wonder...' then envoloped it with his other hand, formed a fist and opened it again, now eggless.
"Hmmm." He said looking at his now empty hands as if he had misplaced it.

Casey laughed. "Down the hatch..." She poured the raw egg into her mouth and swallowed. It was horrible! It was thick, gooey and it went down slowly. She covered her mouth as she began to gag, making her way to the sink. She threw up profusely. When she was done she turned on the water and attempted to clean it up. "Blec... That was gross..." She said, making a face. She tilted her head down and sipped at the water, trying to make the taste go away. "Gross..." She wiped her mouth and hands clean on a towel. "Haven't you ever been to christmas or thanksgiving partys? Cheeseballs are the cheese... spheres that you smear all over crackers..."

Temporarily dazzled by the kitchen lights, Tristan grimaced for a second as his eyes readjusted to the bright kitchen light. Watching the other two dig through the supplies for a minute, he then made a bee-line for the freezer from which he extracted a couple packages before closing it and moving on to the spice rack and dried goods. He was supprisingly, one of those few guys who actually knew a decent amount about cooking something more than simply reheating pizza or making kraft-dinner.
busying himself infront of the stove for a minute, he soon had a poignent smelling curry cooking, happily humming to himself the whole time. Then, hearing Casey and Malic's comments about the eggs, he peered over, wondering if perhaps something more than Casey let on had happened at the bonfire.

He laughed when he saw her face. "That... was priceless!" He managed between breaths.
After calming down as she had her drink he shook his head at her question. "I don't celebrate Thanksgiving and I honestly have never seen anybody use cheese balls to smear on crackers, only soft cheese from tubs."
He looked around, left hand on his head, as if searching for something then looked back at Casey and made a soft triumphant 'Aha!' "Keep still, you have something in your..." He reached for something near her right ear, a fixed concentration on his face, then pulled back and held the egg between his fingers. "...ear."
A grin spread on his face as he held it up for her to see. "Ready for seconds?" He snickered. There was no way he had it in his hand before he reached out for it.
"Mmmm." The smell of curry met his nose.

"hummm...probably best to not eat raw eggs like that, though if you want to try something actually pretty good made with 'em then just give me a minute and I can whip up some Egg-nog for ya" Then, noticing Malic's slight of hand trick commented "not bad, not bad at all"
Moving over to where Casey was leaning over the sink, Tristan inquired as to if she was feeling any better, before turning on the faucet and washing the aborted meal down the drain. "Best to stick to things you know are edible till you're a bit further along lass"

Casey looked wornly at Tristan. "Thanks..." She replied, uneasy at the side comment. Casey snirked at Malics comments. "Ha, Ha. Very funny, you smart-arce. I'd like to see you do it, and not make a face... how'd you do that anyways?" She said looking at the egg he held in his hands. "Anyways... You poor deprived person. I must make it right away."
She picked up the ingrediants that she spilt on the floor and made her way to the counter next to Tristan.. She retrived a bowel and a spoon. Carefully mixing the ingrediants, she rolled it into a firm ball and rolled it in fine-sliced almonds. She fumbled around in a drawer untill she found plastic wrap, which she covered the cheese ball with and set it in the fridge.
Next she took a platter-plate and filled the outer-sections with assorted crackers. She sliced the holiday peperoni into thin slices, only managing to nick her fingers twice, and set them in a decorative flower in the middle. From another drawr she extracted two butterknives. "The cheese needs to sit for an hour..." She said, wiping her hands mockingly on Malics shirt.
"You'll love it." She put the extra supplies away and washed the dirtied bowl and spoon. The plesent waft of curry met her nostrals. Her tummy growled pathetically. "Mmm... That smells good." She said, finishing the dishes. "What is it?"

He pulled a face at the mention of egg-nog. "That's probably best left for Chrismas. Once a year is enough for that stuff." He joked and gave a sideward grin. "Not bad? That took me years to master." He didn't take offence at all which planly showed on his face.
He didn't catch what Tristan said to Casey, none of his business anyway.
"I don't think I could top your performance of egg swallowing... and un-swollowing." He replied playfully placing the egg back in the eggbox. He did a sweeping bow at her curious question.
"Magic." He winked at the peak of his bow, then followed her as she made what he was apparantly deprived of. He watched carefully, although he lacked any sense of cooking and preparing other then the basics unlike these master chiefs, he still was mildly interested how people made food from stratch.
"Hey!" He said as she wiped her hands over his clean shirt. "I didn't offer to help clean up." He gave a mocking glare, then nodded to her conclusion that he'd love it with a smile, so far he liked everything added to the concoction.

"That'd be Vindaloo that I h've cooking there, you're welcome to try some once its done.....and I should probably go make sure it doesnt start to burn!" Traveling back to the stove, Tristan proceded to make sure the curry and rice that he was cooking hadn't burnt.
"Egg nog is definately something you save for occasional use, but even so its a much better way to consume eggs than simply eating them raw out of the shell, well at least for most of us at the moment" Having said that, tristan proceded to mix up a batch of the said drink along with another yogurt based drink to go along with the curry. This was mostly a precaution, as he suspected that neither of the other two would be able to handle the spice in the curry without some assistance from the drinks which could counteract it.

"I don't think I could top your performance of egg swallowing... and un-swollowing." Malic bowed. Casey clapped mockingly at his comment. "Bravo for me." She merrily stated. A strange look was set upon her face through the conversation.
Why was it that Tristan kept speaking like he did? At the moment? Present time? She knew his words were directed twords her, and it nagged at her even when she refused to aknowledge it. Did he know somthing she didnt know? Wouldnt be the first time she had wool over her eyes.
She ran her toungue over her teeth idly. "It smells delicious." She said. Subconciously her gaze turned to Tristan, over and over again. This man was so strange... The storys... the accsent... the bandages...
Casey took a spoon, gentily dipping it into the curry sauce, and tasted the perfumed curry. It was delicious... and hot! For the second time in five miniutes a funny look beset to her face. "Its... Its quite spicey... in a good way..." She said as she strode to the sink. She turned the water to cold and sipped from it, trying to relinquish the burning on her toungue and throat. She took long drags from the water, sending it down her throught in large gulps.
When she was done, she went to the fridge to check on the cheeseball. It was doing well. She had packaged a smaller cheeseball which had firmed quicker. It was still premature, but she took it out. Unwrapping it carefully she cut three chunks from it, with each she set them on crackers placed on a small plate.
"Free sample?" she said, biting into her own cracker. "I cant cook... very well... but there is one thing I can cook, and that would be cheeseballs." She nodded her head boldly, nibbling at the creamy cheese. "mmm..."

Malic nodded dimly at Tristan's egg comment, who knew what they'd fancy eating when they changed, but it seemed Tristan could still eat normal food, maybe his tastebuds haven't been affected much?
A wide grin spread on his features. "Ah, see that I wouldn't mind trying." He said while Casey gulped down water. "Smells heavenly."
Malic started to hum the vindaloo song without realising it as he took up on the offer of a free sample of the cheeseball. Taking a bite, he chewed on it a while pondering the taste, then nodded with a satisfied 'mmm'

Making a goofy grin, tristan declared "Its Cheese, Gromit!" as he helped himself to some of the cheese ball and some crackers. Nibbling on those as he put everything he had cooked up into containers and then cleaned up, he wondered to himself what he should include in his curry for next time.
One thing was for sure, he wasnt about to mention to anyone that the dark crunchy bits werent actually nuts. It wasnt as if it would really be possible to actually identify them for what they were without washing all the sauce off them.

Casey burst into a fit of giggles. She could well remember her, Zane and his sister watching a Wallas and Gromit merathon. So many good times, long gone.
The spicey flavor now gone from her mouth, a pleasent aftertaste now remained. Quite pleasing really. "Your a really good cook. I dont think I've ever had anything as pleasent... or spicey. The nuts add a good crunch to it too." She beamed.
She was pleased with the reaction the two showed twords her cooking. It wasnt often people found her food pleasent... let alone bearable. She finished her cracker with a satisfied crunch.
"So?" She asked Malic, putting her hands on her hips and tapping her toe mockingly. "Whad'cha think?"

"Its Cheese, Gromit!"
Malic almost choked on his cheese and cracker from laughter, but managed to finish the rest without any more attempts on his life by the free sample.
"If I ever have sudden craving for cheese, I'll let you know." He smirked with a wink to Casey, his approval given.
Malic's stomach growled impatient for more. "Hey, uh Tristan wasn't it? That curry done?" He hovered over the pot, taking a deep breath.
"I'm sure the others won't mind waiting a bit for their marshmellows." He added with a smile.
