Mariko smiled and clapped her hands at the captain. "Aye-aye sah, I've wiped off every inch I could reach of teh cannons. Of course, Ahny- err.... Cannon Number Five as usual, needs more grease than all teh others put together!" she chuckled, not at all self-conscious of the stink of dirty deckwater on her.
"Oh of course Snicky- Umm... Cannon number eleven has teh sharp edge." Damn, she couldn't stop calling the cannons by their name! That ws what she got for talking to herself too much.
"Reporting sah, any other orders?" she chirruped happily. "And sah, may I request use of teh kitchens someday, sah? I need to make my famous apple pie, sah. I'm sure everyone will love it, sah."

Aiden nodded as Tracey stepped forward to speak. It would also give the captain a chance to offer the man the same proposition he wished to speak to Tia about. It would be soon to begin giving out promotions, but without a stable set of high ranked crew to assist him, he would have a difficult time controling the current surplus of deckhands.
Beginning in the direction of the lower deck, Aiden turned back in order to motion for Tracey to follow. Speaking politely to both Alexis and Tia, the captain hoped they would not be too bothered by him quickly speaking with the man first. "I will be speaking with Tracey, but will speak with each of you individually quickly after. Please wait above deck and I will have Tracey send for whomever wishes to speak next. My cabin is clearly marked as my own and I shall keep the door open."
Continueing to his cabin, the captain kicked the door open and perceded to his thick, wooden desk. The room was twice, or possibly three times the size of the other cabins, but seemed to be located on the same level of the ship. Like many of the other compartments of the ship, McCallahan's room was no cleaner. With papers, maps and books scattered about, the man tried to kick a walkway for Tracey to enter. Scooting a crate near his desk for the deckhand to sit, he awaited Tracey's entrance.

Tracey looked to Tia a moment, which managed to calm him. Turning from her, after giving her a small, sorta sad smile, he followed the Captain down to the lower deck and kept walking in silence. At his cabin, Tracey didn't look around, his only thought right now was talking to the Captain and finding out if he needed to say good bye to Tia or not.
"Captain," Again with the automatic respectful tone, "may I have permission to speak freely." Might as well cover his own ars before possibly making one of himself. Already, he was going over what he wanted to say as to try not to offend.

Tia nodded to Aiden in a gesture to let him know she was not bothered in the least. She gave Tracey a worried look wanting to grab him and ask what was wrong. Tia's heart was now filled with dread that something was seriously wrong. And While this enconter with the captain was a good one it was not till Aiden was already in his cabin did she remember that she had not been able to ask the question she had needed to ask. With a sigh Tia shrugged and with a grim face she turned to look over the deck trying to figure out what was left to do on the deck. With a short frown her face then changed to one of serious stature seemingly wipping her worries away for the moment atleast. Swiftly she turned to Caden she gave a nod to let him know his words were not lost to her ears. "It seems you are a deckhand then. If you could find some rags and water and scrub down all the railings that should be good for now." Tia then noticed that there were yet more pirates and the one's she had given jobs earlier were now done. Her eyes searched the deck for anything that was possibly left to do. "Truthfully I do not see anything left to do above deck that isnt being worked on or done and as far as I know the below deck was is still off limits. I suppose we should use this time for introductions. After all it will be easier to work together when we set sail if we arent yelling hey you over there help me, right? Everyone thats done with there work in full please come over here." Tia said before finding a nice out of the way place to sit down as she awaited thoses who where done so they could get to introductions. Tia was very good with names she only needed to her them once to remember what face it belonged to.

Aiden McCallahan was not the type of captain who wished to censor all that his crew members said, but he did wish to keep a respect among every being aboard his ship. If his pirates could not learn to respect and trust one another, they would do no better in battle than a troop of Navy soldiers and as pirates, they were expected to be better. Looking at the gesture in which Tracey asked his question, however, the captain seemed almost strange about allowing it. Mentally, the dragon-kin prepared himself for anger.
Nodding slowly, Aiden accepted Tracey's words, "You may speak freely Tracey, but do not believe that your words will get you in to no harm. You may say what you are feeling and I shall comprehend to the best of my ability." The man's wings twitched lightly as he took a seat at his desk and watched the man before him.

((Continued from the Isle thread))
Samuel shurged as the girl seemed quite discusted by him. "Hey Lass you never know when people say thinks like that to you here. And Im a man for hire, but I keep differents jobs seprate. I would not offer my servives once on board less it be in the name of love lassy. And I wont speak with such words save the part about your beauty, so now dont be begging me to lie about that, Ive got me standards." Samuel chuckled with what he had said. He then watched as she begain to walk towards the ship with a smirk he watched the way she walked before following. Reaching the water he looked at the ropes for a moment before speaking again. " Would you like to be carried lass, not in any perverted way, just as a thank you fer gving me a chance you gest off the island."

Tracey now had his word to the point that he didn't think it would offend the Captain. "Yes, sir." same tone once again. Then preparing him before speaking, "Sir, a human female ticked off is a dangerous person to talk to, even more so when you represent what has mad them angry. A dragon-kin female; however, is stronger and much more able then a human."
He really, didn't want to offend the captain, Alexis or the race, "is even worse to be the representative of the one they are angry with. I am capable of handling any order given, captain; however, I can't help but feel expendable since I was not even given an idea that I would be met with hostility and threats of bodily harm. With any idea of the personal affair I was stepping into, I could have done more to help." Hell, if the captain showed to care, he'd follow him to fight the devil.

Mariko sighed as the Captain disappeared away with a group of people, and she was stuck with no orders.
"Awww well, free time!" she cheered and swung herself to the rail, puckered up, and let loose a spitwad the size of a thumb.
It disappeared from view into the dark sea but she heard the satisfying pakunk noise as it hit the surface of the water.
Mariko yawned and stumbled about the deck, looking for some entertainment... And something other to make her drunk and loopy.
She didn't actually expect to find something, so she leapt up on a random crate and looked out at the deck of the ship.
"Arr-dy-arr-dy-arrr, I'm a captain!" she said in a high-pitched cruelly sissy voice. "I order people AROUND all day!" she crooned and shook her butt at the crew. "Fetch me my WHISKEY so I can drink up and claim credit for everything!" she sang and grabbed the nearest long object, a broomstick, and struck up a quick waltz around the deck, splashing puddles about.
"Laaaaa-deeee-daaaa!" she whistled.
Despite her seeming blue-collar resistance to Captains, anyone looking could see she was not acting out of any spite or offense whatsoever but pure the boredom a woman being ignored. "If I were captain, I'd set sail and kick the nearest ship down to the Johnnyboy Locker!"

Hearing out what Tracey had to say, the man could not help but let out a short chuckle and nod. What the deckhand was saying was incredibly true, though still the captain was not certain where Tracey Tans was going with his statement. Listening further, he tried to get a better idea of what could have caused this sudden urgency to speak.
Once Tracey had finished, Aiden paused and thought deeply on to what the man was saying. What Tracey had said was completely fair and though the man could see where a slight worry or anger could spout from the lack of information given, Aiden McCallahan truly meant no harm with his orders. It seemed both Alexis and Tracey misinterpretted why he had a deckhand gather Alexis for his crew. Using a large hand to play with a necklace around his neck, the man decided to finally answer.
"I can see where you are coming from Tracey and I can honestly say I am glad you have brought this matter to my attention. You see, I am only a humble dragon-kin, born and raised within a small cottage in Ireland. The position of captain came along with my desire to be out at seas. I never once wished for the rights to order about a crew of pirates, nor do I know very well how to do so." Laughing a bit, the man felt foolish for admitting so much to the young boy. Certainly, after decades of sailing with multiple crews, the captain had learned a thing or two, but his main point was that he was "human", despite his appearance, and he too made mistakes.
Slightly red at the cheeks, though feeling as though what he said did not fully explain himself, he continued, "I did not expect hostility from Alexis towards you, nor did I expect what I recieved from her myself. I know as little of this woman as you do." With a dreamy look, the captain clearly began thoughts of the beautiful femme dragon-kin. Laughing and shaking the thought from his mind, he quickly finished, "But as you have requested, I will very well offer as much information as I can when you are sent on tasks in my name. And I hope, as Able Seaman, you will not hesitate to fill out the said tasks." Aiden McCallahan could only smirk.

A small squeak was heard from Jamie Gallows as the male behind her reached up her skirt and shoved her over the railings. They toppled onto deck and the woman was quick to accept Nicolas's hand as he helpe dher up. It was not much of an entrance they had made. They most likely had looked like fools. Glancing about though, it seemed as if no one had noticed their stumble and were now looking to them as they stood upright and alert.
The gypsy had released Nicolas's hand and now dusted her skirt off, sky blue eyes scanning the dek in search of the man they had come to speak with. The ship was impressive indeed. The crew was bustling about busily, doing more work than Jamie could recall the crew of the Dementia doing all at once together. It seemed that this captain either had his crew very disaplined, or they were very respective towards the male.
At this thought Jamie caught sight of a small gathering and caught her breath, hearing him speak of she and Nicolas, as well as praising the man whom had brought them to the ship. Straightening herself further, having brushed her skirt free of dirt, yet also pulling it slightly lower, she wanted to make a good impression on this Captain. She was not the same young woman who slept with men and entertained men to feed her family. She no longer needed to attempt to attract men when she had the attentionof the elf beside her. Her thoughts no longer shifted to her past guilty deed, thought he reminder was on her left hand.
Having spoken with the crew members around him, it seemed as though the captain would be occupied with appointments. Jamie slowly smiled up at Nciolas and tugged at the back of his shirt. " Shall we wait and see if we can slip ourselves into a time slot with him?" The woman purred.

Tia watched Mariko rather unamused Tia flicked her hair abit before walking over to her. "Such songs could make you walk the plank if your not careful. Besides the captain is still busy so my job is to keep order on the ship untill which he can return.I ask that you mop up the water your splashing in and then come and sit to get to know your fellow crew mates. Now that we have most of the work done its important that we learn whom each other are so we will be able to work more smoothly come time to cast off." Tia was not about to loose order just after the captain had complemented her on it. "Atleast your broomstick seems to be a good dancer. If the men on the ship seem to have problems dancing we'll set them up with the broom for lessons. " Tia chuckled she wanted to let everyone know that she could still be fun too, but there is a proper way to act on the ship most of the time. Times to party and let loose would be more obvious then some free time.It was her job to keep order and someone dancing with a broom wasnt really something someone thought of when they thought of order. Tia seemingly ignored the two whom had come aboard with Tracey they werent doing anything wrong and Tia didnt really have any work for them, plus they seemed to want to talk to the captain, so she let it be for now.

Marey caught sight of Tia, and made her way over. Judging by the people who had sat down nearby, she guessed that most of the work had been done, but it never hurt to make sure. "I cleaned up all the soot," She said, hoping she didn't sound too pompous or anything of the like. She wasn't at home now, and the last thing she wanted to seem was stuck up and that she didn't know her place. She did, but she had found the way she talked often seemed to throw people off. Oh, curse the irony. At home, she had seemed to the rest of them like one of the 'commonfolk' on the streets. Marey hated the word. But here on Isla Olvidada, she had found that often she was mistaken for a title she had cast off the moment she had run form home - 'miss'. "I mean, I..." She gave up trying to explain for something she wasn't sure of. "Like, is there anything else I should do?"

As he had been heard out, he listened well to the captain body language. Already, he was relived that it didn't look like he had upset the captain. He remained still, patiently waiting for the captain to speak.
He had not expected the captain to say what he did. After observing the captain's concern over Tia, and even his patients with him, he was sure the captain just doubted himself for no reason. What did this guy think he was doing wrong? Well, besides not informing his crew of what he was sending them up against. Now he was gaining an understanding, Dragon-kin really are not that different from humans, just stronger and more mobile.
The look the captain had on his face when he talked about Alexis did worry him a bit. The man looked smitten; however, he just hoped that would not affect his judgment too much. Sure, he had no problems with the female dragon-kin, short of being a wiry of her after she threatened him. He just worried that if she was able to get away with anything, because of the captain's feelings for her, that life might become very, very unpleasant.
He was flat out stunned when the captain verbally promoted him. He was silent for a while, not too long but this caught him completely off guard. He and Tia being the same rank would keep fraternization off the worry list. Clearing his mind of the thoughts of her for the moment he finally speaks, "Captain, you don't give your self enough credit. You have shown to be twice the captain I have ever sailed under, including Captain Avery." This was saying a lot. Maybe captain Aiden didn't know, in fact he could put money on it that the man didn't even know Captain Avery, but Tracey had thought the world of that captain. His voice betrayed him.
"Caring about the crew is the most important, and neglected part of a Captain's job." Now he was ready to tackle the last of what the Captain had to say. With a salute, something he had never done before, he remarks, "Yes sir, and thank you sir, you can count on me."
Glad for the understanding to have been met, leaving Tia would have been too hard as it was. "Here is something I have learned, it might come in handy, clean, sincere compliments and a promise of protection can bring down the fire on even the most scorned of ladies." He may not act like it, or think much like it, but with all the crews he was on, he learned a thing or to.
Recognizing that this really wasn't his business, it hadn't been since he did what the Captain asked, he quickly asked, "Shall I go and bring the next person in that wishes to see you?"

"Nay, but I thank ye fer yer offer," she said, chuckling merrily. "I fear that th' Cap'n might have me hide if I were ta' do such a dishonest thing, ye see," she explained, taking a breath and walking into the water, having no desire to get her hat and plume wet. Grumbling, she swam towards the rope like some dog might, though she quickly came upon one of the ropes that anchored the ship. Grinning, she grabbed ahold of it and began climbing up it like a monkey, on hands and feet. Hands placed themselves on the rail, and the woman nearly polevaulted herself onto the deck, maroon and black clothes clinging to her in an uncomfortable way.
Zaldeer then leaned back and wrung out her hair, noting to herself to try and find a brush for it later. Looking around, she saw that there were more than just a few pirates on the ship now, and that they would have a fine crew indeed.
"Huzzah," she said mildly, starting to look around the deck for Tracey or Aiden.
"Oi!! Tracey!!" she called, hands cupped around her mouth like an amplifier.

((Sorry for the delay.))
Maya had scrambled up the mast upon recieving her orders. She went about tidying the ropes. They had been arranged to secure the stails while in port, but needed adjustment so they would be easily put into motion to unfurl the sails to leave the docks. She loosened some, retied others, all the while humming to herself. She glanced up when a boy when scurrying through, checking the maintenence of the rigging. She smiled and nodded greetings and thanks while she kept as readying the sails for their departure.
This was a reasonably time-consuming task, but when she was done, she clambered nimbly up into the crow's nest and took a look around. Everything outside the ship seemed pretty calm, though the deck below her looked like a feeding frenzy of sharks. People scurried here and there, all swirling around and hinging from either the Captain or Tia. The Captain was easy to keep track of from up here, as his massive wings were very noticable from above. She frowned thoughtfully. This was going to be an interesting voyage.
Just then she caught sight of an edge of sail flapping lazily in the breeze. That should not be loose, so she leapt from the crow's nest and lightly ran down the arm to reach the ropes that would secure the sail better. When that was done, she crouched there at the end, staring off in the directio nof the ocean. It would be good to be sailing again.
