Hmm, I doubt it too Nana. I actually have no idea if we do have Rite Aids over here? What's that btw? A new form of the aids virus? (This is me being half serious, half kidding, he-he)

But you know, I thought we we're gonna discuss about the myers briggs or whatnot. I was actually glad to confirm that I'm not as introverted as I used to be.

Rite Aid is a pharmacy chain. I know there isn't one within my town. I'd have to go somewhere else to find one, I think. We used to have some, but they all closed or were bought out.

I was surprised (kinda) to find out I'm still very much an introvert! But it was interesting to see that of all the people who took that test, only one person was an extrovert. I think it's the nature of the internet in a way. Allows us to be social without having to spend the energy it takes keeping it together-- if that makes sense.

I wasn't surprised about the multiple intellegences test. We actually gave ourselves a test like that in class. I want to be a teacher, and so my teachers were trying to get us to start thinking about these things. I found out I was verbal and intrapersonal there too.

Realizing both will help me with my future plans of world domination through the teaching profession. Bwahaha... blaugh

Oh... So that's what it is, eh? Thanx for the info. I take it you didn't like my joke very well, right? sweatdrop

Hmm, I think it makes sense, what you said I mean. I suppose many people would feel more comfortable chatting through a PC, than in a person to person conversation.

So you weren't surprised at all? I was a little to be honest. I suppose it must be cuz I ain't as smart as some folks, he-he. I'm just glad I'm not right down stupid. mrgreen

Best of luck with yer teaching profession Nana!

Hmm, I hope Jen comes back soon. Gee, now I'm the one showing up here more often than her. lol

BTW, I just noticed a new posting style. I'm choosing it right now to see what it looks like. Hmm, that's funny... Apparently, it doesn't seem to work at all! rolleyes

Gah... I'm such a slacker. sweatdrop

Hypno:
Thanks. <3 Most of the time they're good girls.
No, that's an avatar edit. I'm a pre-made-edit-order-filler there. whee
-----
Sorry Hypno, I just put that up for fun.
If you want to talk about it though I'm happy to discuss personalities with you. I find them quite fascinating. 3nodding
-----
Not all people prefer their interaction to be through a computer. I have a friend who refuses to go onto forums because she's worried that she'll be misinterpreted through text (only). There are a lot of things that make communication on the 'net more difficult. You don't hear the person's tone of voice, see hand gestures, facial expressions...
-----
Edit: You're an Inspector Guardian. Like Hubby. 4laugh

Nana:
Thankies. I like this new edit. 3nodding
-----
I think that we have a Rite Aid somewhere near here... Not sure though.

Oh, I'm very introverted... and it's gotten worse since I don't have a job where I have to deal with people all the time.

Ah, you would have liked me fried Toni. We had great plans for world domination... ninja
-----
Edit: No wonder I luff yo so much, you're another INFP aka Healer Idealist.

It's always very important to me that people realize that the idea of "smartness" is wrong... people are smart in many different ways. Often they don't realize in what ways because they're busy looking at their faults.

So now you know how you're smart! Use that info well. ^__~

Thank you!

Hehe Gen, don't worry. We understand you're busy. I always check in periodically to make sure I keep in contact. And I like Hypno, so I want to make sure to keep in contact with him as well. smile (Is it just me or does Gaia's regular smiley face look kinda mean? surprised )

I noticed your percentage for "introverted." I'd be the same if I didn't have to interact daily with people for my job (a little gift shop where I have to be personable and friendly-- trying to make sure people feel at home).

Oh and it helps that 2NA's really friendly, so he won't let me hide away. Care helps too. She's so cute and sweet, it's hard to feel uncomfortable around her. Her birthday dinners are HUGE! So many people go... @_@ The interesting thing is that the people who go are generally pretty welcoming and kind.

Perhaps we need a world domination club? blaugh

And I noticed that you were a INFP as well. I was all, "ooooh. That makes sense." ^____^ ~huuuuuugs~ User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

Jen:

Ha-ha! I should get Mr Strickland (from Back to the Future) yell at you for slacking then, he-he. mrgreen
Cool! I hope they keep being that way.
I see... Well, nicely done anyway.
Oh and sure, it would be entertaining to talk about personalities a bit more.
And yer right about that. I usually have trouble telling when someone's being sarcastic cuz of text only. Emoticons help but there aren't enough of them for everything.
Really? Me and SK are alike in that department? Imagine that! Cool to know...
Hmmm, maybe I could play the inspector Clusseau on a pink panther movie, ha-ha! rofl
Nana:

I suppose yer right. Not everyone has the same brain age or capacity I guess. I wonder if those Nintendo DS games can actually keep our brains from rotting if we do exercise with them...
As for using the info, I hope I can put it to good use. mrgreen
And yer welcome!

It's not really capacity.. it's more how we use our brains. I think most people have gotten used to the IQ idea, where our intellegence can be measured by a number.

But I think it's all about how you use it! ^__^ Being "verbal" meant I always did well on tests and papers, unfair to a friend of mine who was great at art but stunk at words. So in school she struggled while I breezed through.

I've noticed that there are times she still feels dumb, and I think it was just the inadvertant training she received from school. sad But she's really smart, just in other ways. Like she can make a costume from a few pictures, and some sort of starting patterns. Lately she's been making plushies like mad.

Uh... ahem... sorry, it's kinda a topic that's important to me obviously. sweatdrop

I think I know what you mean Nana. That whole subject can be quite interesting to discuss, huh?
Changing the subject now, yer avi looks awesome. I want the VH set sooo bad. gonk

It's actually very interesting. I mean, most of my schooling has been evaluating Gardener's idea of Multiple Intelligences and how we can try and work it into an actual school curriculum. 3nodding

And thank you! I got last month's letter with gold (no more donating for me I think, in general) but didn't open it until the ears came out. ~primps~ 4laugh

Nana:
I'm glad that you come here to visit with me. 3nodding <3
I don't think you've been in your art thread for quite some time now.

Yeah, I wasn't as introverted when I had a job. I got paid to be friendly and helpful and so I was... But now I'm married to an introvert. My oldest daughter is an intorovert (evidenced by the fact that she does not need constand attention, and can entertain herself for hours), poor El though, she's the only extrovert in a family of introverts. She always wants to be doing something with someone and all the rest of us want our "me" time.

Yeah, Kari's a sweetie! I dont know 2NA though... I've seen him around Gaia, but beyond that...

*giggles* Perhaps we do*
I'd also join the procrastinators of the world club, but that one has yet to be started.

*huggles* Yes, there are not a lot of healers out there so it's always nice to find another one.

...and a certain kind of intellegence can be measured by a number.
Idealists tend to be good with words. 3nodding
-----
That would be cool to be able to teach the children to their intellegence!
I'm so bad, I love the MCs waaaaaaaaaay too much.

Hypno:
Seeing as how I don't think I've ever actually watched BttF that comment is lost on me.
Thanks. I didn't really do anything though.
-----
VH set?
Oh and speaking of pixel items, I think you should have a trade from Hubby mule with the latest Tsubasa quest item.

Nana:

Indeed it is. Let us know how you can work it into a school curriculum then.

I still can't believe how good you made yer avatar look. Do you like to change yer look often or not so much?

Jen:

OMG! I can't believe there's someone who hasn't seen at least one Back to the Future movie. Wow!
Oh? Ok...

And I said VH set cuz I asumed you knew what it meant. It's "Vampire Hunter" and, as a fan of "Castlevania" I can't let the month pass by without doing my best to get at least one of those. mrgreen
Thanx to Nana I have one right now. Isn't she lovely? I'm gonna dedicate her that song by Stevie Wonder right now. 3nodding
Oh yeah! I saw that trade request and I accepted it but, I still haven't heard from yer hubby's mule to complete the transaction.

I haven't been in my art thread all summer. I just don't visit Gaia anymore to visit Gaia.

Oh poor El... my niece is like that. Care too. I want time to be by myself, usually on a weekend I have off, and Care's bored out of her mind wanting to do something. She's pretty good though and understands I need my me time. blaugh

Idealists are good with words... hmm that makes sense. I mean someone has to be able to convey the "crazy" ideas they have, right?

Poor Jen, your responses end up being so long. I try to make sure to not start too many topics of discussion because I know you pop in once in a while. I feel bad for your fingers.

Thank you, Hypno. ^__^ I used to change my outfit pretty often when I was on more often. But since I don't see my avy so often anymore, I change pretty infrequently now.

And you did get the letter? Oh good! ^-^

As for working the multiple intellegences, it is not easy. @__@ Basically, since it's all new theories, it's not a common thing yet. Most schools are attempting to go with new thoughts, but are still relying on the whole students learning from the same book while the teacher has the answer book or on worksheets-- which are the worst.

Right now, for me anyway, it's more about realizing a child may not be understanding a concept in one eay, so I might have to try and figure out a different way to show them.

Nana:
Yeah, I know what you mean. I've had to cut back on all the threads that I visit when I am on here.

Yeah, poot El. I can see that with Kari.

Even with idealists being good with words they often find it frustrating that words are quite insufficient to express their feelings.

I'm fine with my responses being long. Not my fingers that are the problem. It's my carpul tunnel (also part of why I havne't been online as much). I have a wrist rest for both the mouse and the keyboard which makes it do-able though. whee

Oh, Nana, that's so sweet of you! <3

So maby the best way to approach it would be to keep the same teacher and the same books, but divvide the classes up?

Hypno:
I've caught bits and pieces of it, but I've never actually watched them.

Makes sense that you would want those. I'm glad that you were able to get at least one of them. *nod*

I'll get on Hubby's mulie bfore I shut off the comptuer tonight and confirm the trade for you. <3

Nana:

You're welcome! And yes, I got it all right.

Hmm, I see... I suppose it's not easy to figure out a new way to show a child how to understand something, huh?

Jen:

Cool! At least you have seen something about them.

Well yeah but, I really want more. Don't worry though, cuz I'm in the process of talking to a neighbor of mine so I can get more. 3nodding

Thanx! But gee, I had no idea about that carpel tunnel thing. I hope yer hands get better soon and, don't worry about PMing me until you get better. I've seen that some mouse pads help prevent that, do you plan on getting any after this?

It's not too easy since we're all stuck in the way we think. And school only reinforced my way of thinking. blaugh

I'm glad you got it Hypno. Your avy looks cute, by the way. I like the lion look. ^__^

Awe, poor Jen. Ouch! Thank goodness for modern technology. I've felt some of the wrist pads they have, and they've felt nice.

It is true... words can be woefully insufficient. Sometimes a thought might mean to come out magically and instead come out like, "Grrr! Nana smash!" xd

It's not a bad idea Jen, but then that brings in the issue of dividing kids. Most kids fall into a few main categories. Those in the rarer categories might feel left out.
