"Last I checked." Sid grinned. He'd long since forgotten about how unpleasant that must look to other people, and the teeth weren't even in yet. He was, thankfully, beyond caring once again.

"...You don't remember me, do ya?" Marshall asked, with a facial expression that clearly said, 'Figures as much...'

"Remember you?" Right on cue, Sid peered closely at Marshall. Then it clicked. "I do, actually..." He pointed a pale, fishy finger at him. "The bar, and the cafeteria, and... Oh, man, sorry about the rum. I totally should have stopped you. My fault... Wait, why are you here?"
At that moment it was impossible to even conceive that people might not share his enthusiasm for Pink Floyd at high volume.

"Your music is interupting my meditation. My people require at least forty hours of sleep a day. Since there are 24 hours in a day, this is a very diffictult task." Marshall said in an obviously sarcastic tone.
"Actually, its loud enough to raise the dead and shake my duplex. Which, y'know...Is over there." he said, poting over Sid's shoulder.
"...And whats that smell? Its like...Sulfer and shampoo."

"Ah, man, that's rough." At the mention of loudness, Sid glanced over his shoulder as if the speakers had some explination for that. "Come on, it's at a completely reasonable level."
Either he didn't remember he'd turned it down or he was just messing with him... Even he wasn't quite sure which it was.
"The smell? That's just weed. Don't tell me you haven't tried that before either."

"Meh, once." Marshall shrugged. He was from California, of course he had at least tried it! Liking it, however, was a different story. "Then again, after what happened at the Ha...At the party." Marshall said, some how unable to say the word 'Halloween' any more. Perhaps it was because of when Ginverva said it when she left. But whatever.
"...Got any food?" he asked. It was the fumes, not the fact he might actually stop being depressed. He was convinced of this.

Sid laughed at the request for food, assuming it was the fume. "Man, you have like no tolerance... I think there's some sandwiches in the fridge or something. I dunno. Haven't looked lately."
He seemed to recall taking food back for later, he just wasn't sure how long ago that was. He stepped back from the door while he tried to think of it.
"See for yourself."
No apologies were given for the state of the place, because to Sid it was perfectly acceptable. Nothing smelled, other that the marijuana, so it was fine.

Marshall looked around it. Pink floyd, closed curtains, and marijuana fumes filling the room quickly. Okay, I'm back in the 1960s... Marshall thought, realising that Sid's room was just like his, so he knew where the fridge was. He slowly opened it, greeted to...Yes! A sandwhich! And it looked edible!
"So...Strange s**t, neh? With the party and the...Trail. Thing." Marshall asked Sid, sitting down in one of the chairs (obviously not Sid's, since the ash-tray was closer to the other one)

"Incredibly," Sid agreed. The floor of the duplex was relatively clear, he couldn't risk tripping over anything, after all. That left little free space open on the flat surfaces across the room. Ashtrays were scattered at strategic locations, and all of them looked like they badly needed to be emptied.
He retrieved his joint from the beside the bed and rejoined Marshall. It didn't occur to him to share, not yet.
"Any of us could just... die." He sat down across from the kid. "At any moment. I mean, not moment, change. Or maybe it is at any moment. I dunno."
He could almost distance himself from that, make himself think that was only something that could happen to other people, but not yet. That prompted a long drag from the joint. Inhaling was hard enough as it was, holding it in was virtually impossible. Sid tried, but all the smoke oozed around his teeth in seconds. His eyes watered. "Incredibly, incredibly ******** up..."

"It...It was what that ******** Zach said that really freaked me out. The whole 'You're not Human' any more bit...Y'know? Thats not ******** true. At least...I hope its not. I mean, I've always been human, if I'm not human, what am I?" Marshall rambled, finishing off the rather stale sandwhich quickly. Not eating for a mere three days got to him.
"Y'know...I talked to a freind of mine, Nita, and she said there are like, four transformations. Soo...There's a 1/3 chance we'll probably die with ours." Marshall shuddered, not sure if it was because of the fumes or the fact that he'd been thinking this for days.

"And that's not even factoring in the people who're liable to go psycho at the drop of a hat," Sid said matter of factly. He was blissfully disconnected from the fact that it could he involved in such an attack somehow. He peered at Marshall, blearily taking note of his feet and nose for the first time. "What're you supposed to be, anyway?"

"Same question to you, tail-boy." Marshall said dryly, even though he had a vague idea. Large jaw, blue tail, webbed fingers...He was going to be a snake! Or at least thats what Marshall concluded, judgement clouded by a certain haze around him.
"I'm not exactly sure...I'm eating a lot more fish, so its probably like...I dunno. A bird? A fish? A fish-bird?"

"Undersea birds?" Sid said. "That makes absolutely no sense at all, man."
And it didn't, because at the moment he'd entirely forgotten Antarctica even existed. He took another awkward, noisy drag from the joint, so long that he was even more lightheaded for the effort. He blinked, shook his head, and reminded himself he had a question to answer. "I'mma viperfish. Or will be. Or part. Whatever you'd call it. I looked it up. Ghastly, ghastly creatures."
He looked at the joint uncertainly for a moment before he offered it to Marshall. "You should try doing the same. Try referencing things that have... beaks. Black ones. Do crows eat fish?"

"I dunno. Whats a crow? Are crows like, Ravens? Thats a good movie. I need to watch it. Jet Li's kid is it in y'know. Died making it if I'm not mistaken. And I'm probably not..." Marshall rambled, not even acnowladging the joint, his eyes half-closed for some odd reason.
"Y'know...I've seen at least four of my freinds change...My big brother, y'know him, he changed on his freakin' birthday...I met this guy...He was like, your age, so I guess hes kinda old, and he changed...Liamh changed the day before all that s**t came down...Hmmm...I wonder who I'm forgetin'...Eh, doesn't matter...But y'know...It never gets any easier. And that REALLY sucks." Marshall rambled, wishing there were more sanwhiches. Or Doritos. Those would be good.

"That Gus guy is your brother?" Sid said. Truly he was in a bad state if he couldn't even remember to never speak people's names out loud, not when he got them wrong like just then. "Man, I had no idea. But... Yeah, people change, what're you gonna do? Cept stare. Maybe throw up. Which I never did, mind you."
The memory of the bunny vs. wolf incident was bubbling up again. Not good, so not good. He took his offering back and tried to burn the images away with another difficult pull.
"I need to keep this place better stocked. Snacks I mean. Anything but fish. I hate fish. You have one bad ninety-nine cent cocktail and that should be it... but suddenly it's all shrimp."
