I think anyone who DOESN'T love the Nightmare Before Christmas lacks a certain soft spot for Hallowe'en and a certain state of mind needed to see that being naughty is in the eye of the beholder. And a sense of humor to realize that we can dump on Christmas every once in a while. Cause Santa's funny when he's pissed off. Let's face it, kids.
Plus, Tim Burton and Danny Elfman, how can they go wrong? When I think Tim Burton, after I think about whacky machines, I think haunting music. When I think about Danny Elfman, I think about programatic pieces and then I think about "Making Christmas, la la laaaa!" They fit!
As for my level of fandom, I have 2 tee shirts, the soundtrack on casette and CD, the video, which I've had to re-buy because the other one got killed from watching it too much, and a doll of the little mutant teddy bear. I've also adapted the entire screenplay into a stage adaptation. Burton turned it down though, and it's been destroyed. Oh well.

I have indeed seen it, but it was so, so long ago I can hardly remeber. Kindom hearts kind'a resparked my memorie of even seeing it. But yeah it was a good movie

It is one of the few movies I can say that I like with a passion... along with Monty Python and the search for the Holy Grail of course... xd
