Hi no Neko Opinion-gathering post thing. I'm thinking of making some kind of contest, but I have no idea what kind of contest it should be. All I know is I want a contest that will either a) Bring more people into the guild, or b) Get more of the existing guild members to vote in the polls. (300 members averaging 70 votes a poll isn't a very good statistic.) Any ideas? a treause hunt? that requires people to go into threads and look for certain things of course it could exceed beyond that to finding certing things on the net or people on gaia this and that images and what not

Why would you have to limit people though? I mean obivously people would have to like preregister, they couldn't just join it in the middle of it.

Well everyone I am off to Portugal of 5 weeks for vaction with my family. I hope everyone has a great and happy summer ^_^ I am going to miss you all T.T *huggles* see ya at the end of August ^_^

Any ideas? -A Costume Contest -Essay Contest -Trivia contest I've hosted all of these in my guild and had a great turnout, especially for the Costume Contest. I gave away a sealed letter for the winner of each.

Hmm . . . those all seem like cool ideas. A costume contest might be good.
Or, idea, a contest to see who reffers the most people in a set amount of time? (Mods would be excluded, as they can invite people willy-nilly.) Say, we have a contest where people tell their friends to check out the guild, and when those friends request to join, they include their refferer's username in their request message?
Just an idea.

I'm thinking either an essay contest (Something like a "meet the fan" thing to include in the survey, maybe to give companies a more in-depth and personal look at anime fans?) or a banner contest. (To design an image for the guild homepage.)
I'm still open to suggestions, but those two sound the best to me . . . what do you think?

Not everyone has access to graphic programs or are very good to making graphics. Though everyone can write, even though they may not be good. At least htat's my opinion. (That's why my guild stays away from art contests merely because not everyone has access to scanners or programs or they're not very art talented.)
