i always think of anime movies based off a tv show based off of a manga as just filler. it's something to make more money off of the franchise.

Yeah but sometimes you can sorta work with some material from the show. Like previous stories make a come back.

umm like it's used as a launching point. so you use somethign that happened say a new person came to visit. and you use that person as a way to make a new story again. umm does that make sense?

Ahh gotcha. Yeah, they use that a lot. Especially in the 2nd movie.

Oh yeah, it did! It probably died out like Case Closed. Too many episodes that didn't go any where.

i think they're still putting out case closed dvds. animeondvd had a first season collection or something put up of that series. never heard of sgt frog though again.
