i just place a lot of importance on the elements, so i can sometimes tell which element a person tends to lean towards... i used to be able to guess peoples' zodiac signs too, but i'd often piss people off with my analyzations so i stopped doing that xd

Tell you the truth, I knew Gem was Water too. xd You can tell just by looking at your avvie. . . it just says "Water" to me right now.
One's element is also apparent in one's personality. 3nodding

you must be a water sign though (and no, i don't base this off of what element people choose, because oftentimes people can relate better to an element that isn't their zodiac's element). that's because from what i can tell, you are somewhat sensitive, deep, and helpful. however, water signs tend to be manipulative, but that varies from sign to sign. i know you're not a scorpio because i have a lot of experience with scorpios... you're not extreme and intense and controlling enough to be a scorpio *laughs*
and i dont /think/ you're a pisces because i have a bit of experience with pisces as well.. and they tend to be a bit depressed, negative, and i guess i don't know you well enough to be sure if you're hiding those sorts of qualities, but i'd say you're closest to being a cancer. cancers tend to be some of the most manipulative and clingy people but i certainly haven't seen you express those qualities :}
also cancers tend to feel sorry for themselves (much like scorpios and pisces) but not so much that it hinders them TOO much (whereas pisces can be practically disabled by their own low self-esteem).
as a cancer you tend to strive (whether consciously or not) for a feeling of belonging, and importance in a place, and a sense that, whatever your circumstances, there is a place on earth, or an experience, or a group of people, or an interest, which can give you a sense of belonging, where you can feel at home and that you are a member of a family.
anyway.. i'm going on about this too much, probably. i just get blabby about zodiacs when the opportunity arises ;PGemstone I know Sel already asked, but what made you think so before I said it?

which makes sense because you seem to be either a sadge or a leo. both are very proud, beautiful, and like to be the leader. however, my two best friends are sadges and i know for a fact Sadges tend to be very talkative and blabby, which.. you don't really seem to be. i think i know even less about you than Gemstone though, so this might be off... so i apologize in advance.
anyway, my dad and my sister are both leos.. and leos tend to be very intelligent but at the same time, they don't every come off as being booksmart. they tend to seem a little bit more social and flakey just because that's their fire nature.. it's the charisma and charm that rules over the hidden secret weapon of power :}
(for example, a fire is very pretty to look at, and inviting in all its outer warmth.. but dont get TOO close.........)
needless to say, leos live more externally than internally and they're quite the social butterflies (while not being as yakky as sadges). and it doesnt seem like you can't sit still long enough to relax, like the cardinal fire sign Aries... who have so much energy and restlessness they just tend to keep going and going...
sooo my guess is leo.... you seem like you'd appreciate a bit of relaxation and paced work on a project (as long as it's focused on you or your ideas *wink*)...
so i better stop now before i start going on and on about leos... *laughs*

Though not as showy as most really. . . I'm outgoing, but yeah. . . I dunno. lol. I'm a bit of a "lone lion" ^.^ I'm not much of a social butterfly, though I know Leos are supposed to be.

You're not a Taurus. that's obvious. You COULD be a capricorn because i see that you do enjoy success and setting out to climb a lot of mountains. however, i dont see you as someone who feels they need rules and hints as to where they should be going. you seem to be a lot like me, a virgo. i thought this little part was hilarious, as i thought back on my knowledge of each sign;;;
to avoid focusing on their own failures or insecurities, Virgos tend to focus on other people, praising them or analyzing their virtues and qualities. (hint: what am i doing RIGHT NOW? and what do you do in the PYP thread? *laughs*)
Also, virgos tend to go about their lives, diligently weeding out impurities and trying to keep themselves in the best possible condition by their own standards, and while they aren't purely innocent with their common sense and understanding of the world, they retain a bit of purity in that they remain genuine and true to themselves no matter how much crap they've seen or been through (hence the symbol of the Virgin).
bad things about virgos are that we try so hard to do everything /just right/ that we often give up or dont do anything at all. we also end up becoming mediators and therapists for others instead of working on our own problems --- when we are unhappy with ourselves, we turn criticism towards others. we can be a little bitter and tend to bring a bit of sharp, painful realism to situations. some people love us for that but most resent it ;]
anyway. i could go on forever about virgos, because of course... i know more about virgos than anyother sign. but i can tell you one thing... a lot of these things i saw in your face (your eyes especially, but i'm trying not to get all mushy here). like i told Sel, i really can't explain how i pick up on these things... i guess i just like to observe people so much that it's one of the things im good at :}
