A.R.G.U.S Mykal I can see where the original idea came from, but now, it can't be done. It's the base cost, then add the cost for master crafting. GW may not be gud at ingrish, but they're not dumb enough to make something immensely strong cost less than the weak version.
-Mykal im not saying its cheaper dude, it more expensive in fact. Read the rules for mastercrafting. It says that only the mastercraft counts vs the point limit, not the total points. so the mastercrafted powerfist i was talking about would cost a total of 40points, but for a characters point limit it would only count the cost of mastercrafting(cast list individual point cost). your still paying for the powerfist, its points just dont go against the models wargear point limit.

I ran the mastercraft thing through IAL and you CANNOT master-craft a plasma pistol or anything else for that matter, UNLESS it's the acolytes laspistol or ccw.
The acolyte can take up to fifteen points of s**t, or mastercraft one of his two starting weapons.

This is exactly the point. I realize the truth has been exposed, but it's important that reading comprehension wins the day: The Acolyte doesn't get 15 points of wargear (which only constitutes one section of the Witch Hunter Armoury), but rather 15 points of equipment from the Witch Hunters Armoury. For comparison purposes, an Inquisitor Lord may taken any equipment allowed by the Witch Hunter Armoury. "Any equipment allowed" means two weapons, one of which may be a two-handed weapon, as well as ### points of wargear. A power fist (let's say Eviscerator, for the sake of accuracy) counts as equipment from the Witch Hunters Armoury. Master-crafting counts as equipment from the Witch Hunters Armoury AND as wargear.

So anyways I want to collect a SOB army and have what I figure is a pretty good list to start with its up to 2306 pts (forgot grenades) but I'm being told I have to many flamers (too much fire? never!) so please tell me what you all think (its pure SOB) and Thanks alot!

I'm not to sure about having two Repentia squads especially two 10 man ones... I may replace them with another Retributor squad armed with either heavy bolters, multi-meltas, or a mix. Or even another Seraphim squad... add this to the grenades and a model here and there- viola! a 2500 pt army that can be broken down into smaller units to reduce point cost.

alright I"m working on a witch hunter's army right now that will have two deathwatch squad's in it. this is what I want in my army
two razorback's (laz) with 6 man deathwatch in each, heavy bolter's. heavy bolter's, heavy bolter's, heavy bolter's,
there is an ork player at my store and I want to design it to take down mass army's like ork's and tyranid's.

I have a vindicater assassin and some SoB with tuned down thunder hammer looking thing's. one of them even has num-chuck's!

well mutunei, i think u can never have enuff flamers in a SoB army so that is a really good list, but ive never been sure about repentia, coz even tho they r really good, they only have a 4+ save so they would die really fast which is a waste of a LOT of pts. ive found it more reliable to use a squad of seraphim or a cheapo inquisitor with a few death cult assassins. but other than that, MORE FLAMERS! lol. every squad in my army has at least 1 flamer. and there are no plasma weapons, coz i dont like the idea of my troops melting coz of a hot gun.

I really like sisters... 11 points for power armored bs4 bolter is bargain... add to this acts of faith and best basic infantry emerges if you absolutely need terminators, get allied Grey Knights ones (and by emperor, these are rock!)

Sisters exclude inducted marines... OTOH you can take allied sisters in Marine army (of course unless "We stand alone" ), but IMHO sisters work best as main army with loads of faith points... Faith is best weapon and armor of the sisters, with Canoness capable of going toe-to-toe with Greater Demons due to 2+inv save as an example (Anime fans like me love it, cue the battle scenes from Shakugan no Shana or Fate/Stay Night)

wow i never thought about the +2 inv save thingy that is a pretty good trick i originally wanted to pick up sisters for the amount melta wepons/flammers you could field but wow thats pretty cool
