And that’s when Louise came in, still a little worse for wear but looking better. She still wore the singed shirt and jacket but the hole was concealed while she did her trademark thing and stuffed her hands in her coat pockets. What she’d come to ignore, however, was that she was limping slightly on her left side. The impact had probably bruised a muscle or something but she wasn’t about to complain and go see someone about it, that would cut into valuable time hunting bounties.

“I’ll be down payment.” She responded quietly, approaching Miran silently from behind and standing just behind him. Again she did the strange thing with her hair, revealing her eye and her scar.

Smiles and looks at Lu, giving her a sneeky wink that Brooks wouldnt see, he nods. "Thanks" Then looks back at Brooks. "Down in the storage theres a small black box, in it there is a bright, ruby red Scale.....I need it back please." He says.

Louise gave Miran a look of distaste as he winked at her. Aside from her offering to be his down payment she wasn’t allowed to let anyone with inside access to the bounties on to the fact that she was working with a wanted man to bring down another wanted man. It just wasn’t done.

She’d play off the whole “down payment” thing under the pretenses that she wanted to see Brooks. He was gross and sleazy enough to believe it, especially after the looks he’d given Lu a few days earlier. Come to think of it though, Louise did want to talk to him. Hopefully she could flirt him up and get some more weapons, that or she’d beat him into giving them to her. Whichever way worked the best the fastest.

“You’re such a b***h!” Louise snapped, letting him drag her out of the burning building. Seriously, she was in no mood or condition to run anywhere. All those weapons that’d be melted in the fire, it broke her heart to watch them go. However, the fact that Brooks might die a tragic death did bring a little warmth back into Lu’s cold heart.

((awww... just when I was coming back to work... o.o it went and blew up. X3 Does this mean I don't have to work for a while? whee ))

As Aly walked towards the PSHQ, she heard an explosion. What the hell? She adjusted her Sight so that she could clearly see the building, even though she was far away. People were streaming out in a panic-crazed fashion even though she could also see that the building's safeguards were in effect. She sighed. The last time she went to work, the place was in chaos... and once again it was a field of disaster. She wondered if this was going to be routine.

Quickly she sped up her pace and arrived at the HQ. She dodged the stream of people and tried to see what was going on.

The windows and doors of the HQ were blocked off by metal reinforcement. However Ally was able to see smoke clouding from the roof.

A few people gathered around to look at the person stuck in the door.

Carter got on the Mic, calling on a helicopter too come around and circle the area, looking for the perps.

((omg... DEFINITELY! whee heart That will be just like old times. 3nodding Remember the bowls of fruits? mmmm... and beanbag chairs and awwww... good memories. X3))

Aly got as close as possible, listening to the people who were chattering on about what they heard and saw. From what she gathered, the explosion had come from Brook's office. Damn! My Desk is on the same level! Oh well... I wasn't that attached to it anyways. Not much. If only she had known that it was also being used as a doorbell for Brooks, she probably would have been a little more pissed (only a very little, and only because it was being used for Brooks). She also heard talk that two people were in Brooks' office before the explosion. She would have to find out who they were.
