i play oboe.. i used to sound TERRIBLE... crying it makes me upset now to listen to my old recordings.. but anyways.. yeah... we had 4 oboes in the same symphonic band once.... o.o we were loud.... and we were out of tune.. and we got moved to the back of the band room.... yeah.... eek unfun....
Oh, another band joke.... "whats a diminished minor chord? two oboes playing the same note"

No offense, but most of the clarinet players I've met can be pretty annoying. Not all, but most. I'm a drummer, so naturally, I think we're the best!

The clarinets in my band are the same way, they never shut up long enough to take directions. and most of them suck..no offense to them, my bestfriend plays clarinet and she is good but it seems like most of the clarinets are freshmen

flutes! they can never play in tune, and after our director tells them to do one thing they go back to doing how they did it before, and when they shrill it is the most horrible sound ever!

The trumpets or oboe....the oboe player sounds *horrible*, and the trumpets *always* get the whole band into trouble....

tenor sax and bari sax! haha. They play sooooo out of tune with the tuner and with each other. razz Well, and trombones are proclaimed the most hated, but they were too good last year to really be. haha. And also....piccolo as an instrument. But I actually played better than other people in previous years....so I wasn't the most hated instrument, yay.

The percussion section can get pretty annoying (at least in my school). They talk constantly, they always miss their parts(if fact they always lose their music!) and they never show up to band practice.

I think the most disliked one would be the trombones, or baritones, that sorta thing. Maybe flutes, because the players suck at it. I dunno. There's a few. Meh. Stupid people and their stupid instruments. >>

At band camp my director hated oboes. He also wanted to skip me when tuning the whole band. Grrrr. Sad thing is when he asked if he had to tune me I heard some people in the back ask "We have an oboe?" Very sad. crying
