I prefer the Genbu Kaiden over the Suzaku/Seiryuu arc, so I'm pretty sure you'll like this one. ^^

what's really weird is that even though i liked the original fushigi yuugi, i love genbu kaiden!!!!!!! takiko's character i really like along with everyone else too. it's really cool!!!! 3nodding

I agree 3nodding Takiko is one of the Watase's women that I admire greatly. Actually, she may be the top since I can't remember anything else at the moment. sweatdrop (headache, so sue me)

I honestly think the storyline of Genbu Kaiden is a little rushed right now. It just seems like...I don't know, I guess I'm just a sucker for the original FY. Also, Takiko gets naked a little too fast, dontcha think? Also, the gender switching thing shouldn't be done in seriousness...it's funny in Ranma, but here?
Then again, I also think the extension of FY (after volume 13) is a little too much. Haven't Miaka and Tamahome suffered enough?!

I actually like how something so gender-bending (going on both Rimudo and Nuriko here) can be serious in it's own way. There's more meaning behind it. As for Takiko, she's a strong-willed girl who just wanted get rid of Rimudo's fever. And there should be no problem with the bath scene with Tomite's mother.
Here's one thing I agree on...I think the majority of us aren't too fond of the volume 14-18 FY:SS arc. It's weird for me...I like that we get more FY goodness but it's s bit much.

Oh wow, im really behind on her series......darn it! So i get it right, this fushigi Yuugi is the series after the first, the one with Tamahome in Miaka's world?

I really do like how the genbu kaiden story is going along. like usual yu watase will bring in surprises, as saddness, happy, emotional, action, comedy etc all in there. i can't wait to read number 2. whee
