Voila landed gracefully from her flight. She looked at the group. "Hello. Were you transformed like me?" Voila asked looking at them.

Raerin turned toward the new newcomer and looked up at her, stretching a bit and angling his muzzle. "That or close enough," he said, "I think you're the first bird I've seen..."
His stomach growled louder than he thought his mouth could.
He looked around the group and said, "Hey, I guess we should get back to trying to find some food..."

Azriel felt happier now that he was with a large group and inadvertantly let out a purr, then stoped and started to chuckle a little at himself. He looked at the bird curiously, an odd primal instinct seemed to twinge somewere in his body but it wasn't anything he couldn't handle.

"I saw a meat and fruit stand some way back." Voila pointed towards the direction she had come from. "I'm Voila by the way."

"I'm Raerin," he said. "Can you show us to that? Most of the food around here's already been ransacked..."

Voila flapped her wings and began to fly over the pavement. She couldn't take the shortcuts over the buildings because the others couldn't fly. "Follow me." Voila flew over to the stand she had found earlier.

"Yay! Food!" cheered Jade giggling as she skipped after the birdie keeping her eye on the birdie and not to much on where she was going.

Raerin followed, and they reached the destination. He looked around before eating anything, though: He had a feeling something was wrong. It didn't seem to make sense, that a place like this would be left alone. Sure, the flyer might be able dive down and eat her fill without any trouble, but a place with this much food wouldn't be easily missed. The only possibility he could think of was if there was some kind of guard here.
He kept looking around suspiciously for any sign of anything or anyone. Somehow the combination of intelligence and instinct didn't let him trust this place.
((I already have an idea for what's about to happen, just play along for the moment please, okay?))

Azriel smiles as he see's the food and bites into an apple only to spit it out a moment later... "Uggg that was gross... I used to love apples....Oh right I'm a meat eater now." He sighs, he was talking to himself but was welcome to outside input it would seem. He looks for some meat and starts to eat that.

Voila landed. "Same with me. I used to hate meat, but now as a partly eagle I like it." She grabbed some chicken and settled down, her talons clicking on the pavement.

((Here goes...This may be a rather long post but it's VERY important so I ask you at least read the important parts...))
Nobody else seemed to be watching. Raerin saw something out of the corner of his eye--there was too much noise to hear and too many other smells. Whatever it was couldn't tell or didn't care he'd seen it, it suddenly came out from behind some object and started charging at... at the child. She wasn't looking.
Somehow unable to think, Raerin ran straight at the creature and pounced mid-run. While he ran he was able to look more closely: Its skin was gray and rough and it had huge horns like...a rhinoceros. He aimed for the eyes, and as the huge, strong rhino-man creature batted him away he managed to scratch them hard with his right forepaw's claws. He fell to the ground, still facing it, but lacked the ability to get up.
The next few seconds felt like an eternity. He saw the thing still charging, unhindered by blindness, and realized that it had been nearsighted to begin with. Unable to do more, he stretched a forepaw out toward it and willed something to happen that would stop it.
He felt a sudden surge of emotion running through his body and out of it, and a small red cylindric shape shot from the forepaw. It hit the rhino-man and he burst into flames, screaming. He crumpled on the ground, and the flames died as suddenly as they'd appeared, leaving a dead creature-thing burned not quite beyond recognition.

Azriel turns quickly as soon as soon and Raerin attacked, He watches the battle in awe. Afterwords he dashed forward as quickly as possible, jumping up he lands on the dead Rhino and sniffs around it poking and proding making sure its dead, he then looks at Raerin "What was that?"
