Shigen came up a little late with a big bump on his head from tripping. He glared at the back of Kaji's head for the longest time until Ai asked him a question. He complied in his normal hyper way or speaking. He seemed to think that Ai was awesome too.
Shigen started to listen to the Raikage's and Kaji's talk but soon got bored. He began walking about...walking quickly around and checking things out from his elevation. He had never been this high before! Shigen could see his house, his grandparents, his cousins! He could see everything from here!
Once Kaji had left Shigen felt like speaking, "So! What's our next great mission!" Shigen went about pretending to kick an invisible ninja's around while going on about how he wanted a great mission filled with suspense and fighting and saving the village from disaster. After a while he seemed to have forgotten where he was.

(Sorry I havnt posted in a few days. Life kinda caught up with me pretty quickly.)
After Kaji left, Ai turned and spoke to shigen.
Ai: "Great mission? That was a once in a blue moon kind of thing. Taking two academy students on such a dangerous mission. Wait till ya get stronger kid, then i'll show you what a great mission is."
She patted his head with her hand as the Raikage walked past them.
Raikage: "Ai. Its about that time...."
Ai: "Yes sir."
Raikage: "Ayane. Your free for the rest of the day."
The Raikage and Ai then began to walk down the stairs of the tower at a pretty quick speed. Ayane looked over at Shigen.
Ayane: "Why dont you go train or something?"

Kaji was in the forest nearby training. As he threw shuriken and kuani at the nearby targets he was talking to himself about basically the problems he sees around him. "How could he?" he asked himself as he threw a kunai at a target. "What gave him the right," as he threw another kunai at another target. "Causing that much pain," as he threw a shuriken at a target behind him. He put three shuriken between his fingers on his left hand and two kunais in his right hand. He ran at a tree and jumped off of it. "Causing that much pain to normal people is inhumane!," he yelled as he threw the kunais and shurkien. His sweat flying off of him as he spun around to throw at different targets. His voice echoing strongly through the forest and a bit into the village. He sat on the ground staring at a tree he couldn't hit. He put a target behind him and when he tried to hit it, it always missed. "Why...why is it always you....why," he asked the tree, knowing it wouldn't answer.

Rei had a part-time job, chopping wood for the busy ninja of Cloud and Elders of the village. It also made a good form of training for him, since he practiced his cutting techniques often, and it earned him some money to live on. As an Academy Student, he didn't do paid missions yet.
Rei swung his Nodachi (The largest of his swords), over his head and split a log just shorter than himself and just as thick, into two halves right down the middle. Rei did this with a shout of, "Shiken!" [Eng: Deathblow Technique]
Just after he pulled his sword up, and back into a huge scabbard on his back, he heard a cry echoing from the trees. He persued it, interested, it wasn't more than 150 meters away. As he got closer, he could make out what he was saying and he recognised the voice as one who he went to the Academy with.
When he entered the clearing, and Kaji asked the tree the question, Rei said in a raised voice, "Are the trees bothering you Kaji-kun?" it was a weak attempt at humor, you could tell it wasn't rehersed.
"What's the matter?" asked Rei, showing concern.
[Note: Rei is not in his normal attire. He's wearing a long, flowing purple headband. A white t-shirt with rough edges where the sleeves were cut off, on the back the aspects of Bushido are embroidered. He's also wearing a black, split Hakama, and wooden sandals. His clothes are a little dirty, he's obviously been working/training.]

"Awww!" Shigen whined as he crossed his arms and stomped down the stairs. He wanted to do something interesting and not go back to training. Once in a blue moon? Bah! He would make Ai see that Shigen was ready for any mission!
Shigen, with this new goal in mind, started down the lower half of the stairs with a brisk pace. He needed a watery place with a few tree's to pratice his Taijutsu skills. It rained a lot in Cloud so it shouldn't be too hard.
With his Shigen began looking for a promising training area.

Kaji looked up and saw Rei. He didn't say enything as he stood back up and brushed off his pants and sighed. "It's always that tree I miss. All the other ones I can hit, besides that one."
He growled a bit and he clenched his teeth and shot a kunai at the tree, it hit the bullseye. "I can hit it head on, just not when I am hitting multiple targets at the same time." He walked over to the tree and pulled the kunai out of the tree and he just noticed Rei's outfit.
Then he heard his question, "It's nothing. It's just I think the Raikage is a bit wrong for hurting Konoha. All those normal people have to rebuild their lives."

Rei raised an eyebrow, "Well, practice makes perfect. You're doing pretty well to hit the others. I think I'll do some throwing practice later aswell..."
Rei continued to listen as Kaji explained his feelings about the war on Konoha, when he had finished, Rei scratched his head, and replied, "Well... the two of us have no rank as Ninja in this village of ours, so we might never understand the politics behind the attack. Whatever story you've heard, it's probably a watered down version of the real events leading up to the war..."
Rei paused to think for a second, then continued, "One day we might understand why it happened. As a person, I don't like to see people lose their lives or loved ones. But, as a potencial Ninja, I trust Raikage-sama and his judgement, it's all part of the job of a Ninja to witness these scenes. I'm sure the war was justified, it's just a shame that normal people get caught in the crossfire..."

Kaji looked up at him and asked, "What were you going before this? You look like you have been working. I hope I didn't pull you away form something important." He smirked and rubbed the back of his head a bit sheepishly.
He looked up at the target that he hung about 20 feet off the ground and smiled as he saw the shuriken and kunai in the middle. "At least I can hit things in the air," he said as he walked over to the tree and started to climb up, using no chakra of course he doesn't know that yet. but without chakra he was a pretty fast climber any way. He was about halfwau up in about 3 minutes. He crawled out on to the branch where the rope was tied and he stood up. He held his arms out to his side as he walked along the branch. He had heard Chunnin tell their students about the tree climbing technique, but they were too young to learn it. Yeah, I really should know it for this, though Kaji as he walked.
When he reached the rope he sat down on the branch and crossed his legs under the branch. He pulled out a kunai and cut the rope, but he held onto it. He held the kunai in his mouth as he pushed off the branch and swung to the other tree and landed on the branch below the other rope. Not wanting to climb again he threw shuriken at the two remaining ropes. As the target fell, Kaji leapt off the branch and landed after falling 10 feet.

"It's nothing too important. I was chopping wood, but I can do that anytime I like. I was just wondering what the cries were, that's all." Rei said while he watched Kaji climbing the tree. "If you want a real test of your throwing abilities, aim for moving targets. What you really want is to spar some people, that's the best form of practice." He continued.

Kaji smirked and said, "It that a request to spar? If so, then I accept your request. But I would rather spar after I had something to eat though. Training always makes me hungry." He laughed sheepishly as he rubbed the back of his head.

Rei chuckled, "If that's a challenge. I'd gladly accept. I prefer not to fight on a full stomach, I can get pretty bad indigestion."
Rei unsheathed his sword again and smirked. "If you wanna go eat go ahead. I'll be in this area cutting. Just gimme a shout when you feel ready."

Kaji smirked and said, "I'll be back in about 20 minutes." With that he smiled and started to run for the clouds own raman shack. It wasn't as good as the Leaf Village's one, but it was really close. Plus Kaj iknew a short cut, it was called using the roofs to get there faster. He leapt up onto a cart, bounced off the fabric and landed on the roof of a store. He looked up ahead and started to run, gauging any jumps ahead before hand.

Rei watched Kaji bounce away, and then thought to himself, "He's gonna upset his stomach... Anyways, it's time to think strategy. I have around twenty minutes to prepare myself."
Rei glanced at a Kunai and pulled one out of his belt. "I think I have a plan." he said staring at it.

Kaji was eating a small meal, he knew that if he ate too much that he would upset his stomach sparring. So he only had enough food to make his stomach stop growling at him. He bowed to the cook and left the money as he walked out of the store and started to jog towards the perimeter again. He smiled as in his head he was formulating a plan to win.

Rei was preparing himself with a series of warm up exercises and stretches, so that his muscles would be flexible and his reflexes would be sharp. His blood was getting excited, and he couldn't wait to begin.
After his physical preperation, he counted the tools he had available to him on his person, and he smirked. "More than enough..."
