Taking the cage from the blonde girl, Irina gave her a smile. "Thank you so much. I'm sure he'll be quite helpful to me." She gave her a nod, and looked down at Kal, who was still standing on two legs, trying to get a better view of the cage.
"C'mon Kal, we've got to give this lovely banya a name," she said, turning to walk back to her wagon. "It was a pleasure to meet you Ceres! I hope we will cross paths again some day." She gave the girl a wave, and started back toward the wagon. Kalpana loped along behind her, sniffing the air for the scent of the strange bird that her mother was carrying.

Maeko-Hana Watching her family meet and become quickly friendly with the other group of gypsies, Leshya'e decided to join them and meet the new people. She quickly went back into her wagon and cleaned herself up from traveling, puting on a cleaner skirt and washing her face. Anezka closed up the back window and checked that the sash that healed her piece of the protectorate tri-rune was tied tight. Once both of them were ready, they exited Varekai and said good-bye to Alexander, leaving him some feed and water. Walking out hand in hand, they looked around at everyone who was talking.

Pan stepped out of her wagon, in quite a daze. She didn't really know what was going on, or why she had shut herself inside. She kind of felt invisible and not herself. Pandara only stepped out when she was sure no one was around. She was wearing practically nothing, and seemed to either not know or not care, her hair was also a tangled mess and her hooves were covered in dirt. The orange fur on her bottom legs was much more goat than human and covered anything to be bashful about.
Her eyes were the oddest thing about her, anyone that met her or saw her around knew they usually shined a bright saphire. But they had been dulled to a very clouded navy blue and appeared to be looking off into the distance. A very haunted look veiled her eyes and her normally bright freckled skin seemed a near dull grey. Her fur had also lost it's normal bright sheen somehow or perhaps it was still there, but clouded by something.
It was obvious Pan was not well.

Lorelei started at Heather's voice, turning bright red again at their discovery. She turned, looking at Heather sheepishly. "Oh, Heather - I didn't notice you were there! Ah..." Lor thought a moment, glancing at Leax.
"Heather, this is Leax. Leax, this is Heather, a fond friend of mine."
She looked down at Vanna, who had begun to fidgit uncomfortably. Lor took that to mean she wanted down (not for uneasiness over Leax, of course) and took a few steps over to Heather, holding Vanna out.
"Could... could you take Vanna? I'm sure she'd love to meet more of our new-met friends, but Leax and I have some... things we need to discuss." Like... his proposal. She needed to think about that, and pretending to be just the same as always would make that rather hard. "I'd really appreciate it."

Oqaia "Yes? I'd be happy to meet..." Val turned, a smile on her face, waiting to be introduced to whoever Silver's new friend was... but the words stalled in her throat as soon as she saw the creature alongside the gypsy. His antlers had grown, and he looked... cautious, maybe even afraid- but still, so regal and statuesque. It could be no other than the child they had lost. "Oh, Silver... however did you get him?" Val reached down and wrapped her arms about his neck, welcoming the Fortunette home. Aisrhan, who had quickly followed her mother to Valelldia's side, plopped herself down on the ground behind Silver, bored with the whole situation. She soon resigned herself to staring at the deer, however. She knew she recognized him. She had not seen him since she was a snake, but still, he was familiar to her. Khevashi squawked. Silver smiled at Valelldia. "Apparently Ametra stumbled upon this caravan and asked a woman named Kidra to watch after Stefan for her. Kidra said that Ametra had asked her to return him to the caravan of Valelldia should she find it." Silver gestured toward the deer with an open hand. "Today, she found it. Er, us."

Heather took Vanna and Amkia clapped happily. She smiled at the boy and then looked at Lor. She never believed in love at first sight, maybe she had seen them kiss without actually taking it in, no, must have been her imagenation.
"I won't be far Lor, just in case Vanna wants to come back." She then turned holding the two children. amkia trying to play with Vanna as they moved and Kala at her feet.

Mirela’s sapphire eyes widened and her jaw dropped at Esperita’s offer. She had never expected that she would receive such an honour from anyone, let alone from the head of another caravan. “I…wouldn’t mind at all” the gypsy managed to choke out, a bright smile spreading across her lips as she regained her composure. A tingle of excitement spread through Mirela’s being, wondering what gift would be bestowed upon her son.
Beside the young woman Tafari stood silent and steadfast, regarding Esperita with an intelligence that seemed behind his animal appearance. He seemed to comprehend, at least to a degree, the uniqueness of what was taking place.

Gwynna Chirilo "Oh really?" Gwynna said, considering the gypsy's words. Her own family's Banya had been a very calm Lilas, purchased from a passing trader. Gwynna had liked the bird, but had always sort of taken it for granted: It was always there, and relatively straight-forward. She had always sort of had the impression that the Meij wasn't particularly interested in her. And when she lost the daughter of her body it seemed the Meij had either forsaken her or was unbearably cruel. Nusa pulled herself into a sitting position, using her mother's ear and hair as a support. The brief pain pulled Gwynna out of her rather unpleasant ruminations. "That would be overwhelming," she finally managed to respond. "So, ah, how long have you been with this caravan? Do you have a Fortunette child of your own to care for?" "Oh, I've been with this caravan since birth- I'm one of the few who didn't come to the gypsy lifestyle from another life." But as to the question of a child, Kidra seemed... downcast, somewhat. "No, I'm afraid I've never been blessed with a Fortunette. I was the caretaker to a child for a while, but... it wasn't meant to be. He's not with me, anymore." Her eyes alit on the now seemingly distant speck of Stefan, where Valelldia and Silver welcomed him home. "Even if it wasn't meant to be... it still hurts, to have a child taken away."

Pales They now watched Algonya go through the next set of motions. The ermine with the curiosity of any creature of it's ilk (far too much). When the clap and the flash of light happened it blindly retreated onto Annjette's shoulder and curled up there for a moment throughly startled.
Annjette's hands now free (and glowing); the swan-girl looked them over with amazement and curiosity. This was turning into quite a day for her, "I...I will try to be careful." Which was as good as good a promise anyone can get from a child still unsure of her own destiny. Annjette only knew that she suddenly felt more secure somehow. "Then, child, I will tell you one more thing, to try and help you with this journey. To the west, there is a man named Hedriken. He is a pirate- and has a very cruel side." Algonya knew... personally, the man's cruel taint, but said nothing of specifics to the girl or her father. "He has a series of artifacts that it would greatly behoove you to possess. So, mindful of the danger, seek him out, if you dare- and try to obtain those objects." Algonya wished in that moment that her hands had been as they once were- covered in the flesh of man, and dextrous with all five fingers in tact... not only so that she may be unashamed to reveal them- but also, so that in this moment she might reach out and touch the girl upon her face, give her some comfort. "Oh, precious girl. The meij has so much in store for you. I only wish I could spare you from it- good, and bad."

((Sorry about that, your person just got unoccupied ^__^)) Trabor waved goodbye to Caroline and her wee daughter as they disappeared off with one of Cerces Banyas... and then, the cheetah-man looked about, pleased to see that there was a beautiful woman not far from him- with yet another Fortunette daughter. The redheaded man strolled forward confidently, his cheetah tail switching with a staccato nonchalantness as he went. "Semita! ...The meij must smile upon your caravan- so many of you with Fortunettes! Not even half of us have been yet blessed." The man bowed. "I'm Trabor."

It was obvious Pan was not well. Cerces was surprised to see the satyr come from a wagon. The only ones she'd ever known- and yes, she'd known quite a few- specifically, an old flame that had ignited her passion in the Sheulan- had been wary to travel far from their homes, or to give up their free-going lifestyle for that of a caravan's near-regiment sort of freedom. Plus, this satyr did not look well. The girl skipped forward, and ducked down to get a good glimpse into those haunted, clouded eyes. "Are... are you alright?" She chirruped.

Valelldia did not make eye-contact with Silver's daughter- she was still afraid that the child had ill-feelings for her. ...And with good reason. "Silver, can I possibly burden you with something? You are such a good mother... could you watch over Stefan until the meij gives us a sign as to who is meant to take care of him? I will petition the meij in a few days- it should answer us then. If it's not too much of a trouble?"

"Oh, precious girl. The meij has so much in store for you. I only wish I could spare you from it- good, and bad." Annjette quietly glanced over at her father at mention of the pirate man and the artifacts and Voltaire seemed to consider it long enough to shrug. Father was at least equally as curious as the daughter was that was sure.
"If it is fated we find him and be in that direction we will be there, if we do end up in Hedriken's area ... Don't go alone, let me go with you." Voltaire said quietly. He knew a thing or two about pirates. While not all were bad they weren't all good either.
Annjette frowned but nodded a bit and looking back at Algonya and smiling a bit grasping her now faintly glowing hands in the air and responding, "The good and the bad molds us into what we are meant to be. Cannot have one without the other. Sometimes, though, I wish there was to protect myself and those I care about from all of the bad things..."
The swan-girl paused a moment before speaking again, "Algonya? May I give you a hug?" Annjette seemed to think it proper to ask before acting.

He seemed to comprehend, at least to a degree, the uniqueness of what was taking place. With permission given, the gypsy nodded- pleased with the answer, and reached out to put a gentle hand on the brilliant blue horse. With her other hand- tipped in nails that had been slightly yellowed with years of exposure to the travelling life... peeled the cover off of a domed ring on the hand that had been set againt Tafari's shoulder. When she did so, a stream of sparkling white light- no more than a hair's width- swirled into the air and came straight down upon the earthen creature, penetrating the skin with a light push and disappearing deep inside the horse. When she stepped back, Esperita gave Mirela a deep nod. "There... Tafari- inspiring awe... now can inspire at least stillness. It is the birth of his ability- so he will only now be able to stop someone in shock, or to cause them to forget temporarily what they were doing- but as he grows and develops, this power of Awe may grow deeper, and he will be able to manipulate sheerly by the power of White Suggestion. Never black- or to intend others to harm."
