[NUTs] oh, thats what i thought they were. then just out of curiosity, what do they use for the really big holes o.O? They make tapers pretty large. Tapered jewelry is also made in large sizes, but you don't want to use that for stretching because the grade is so large on it because they are so short. Blow out is much more of a risk at large sizes, so tapering isn't used as much. I believe most people wrap jewelry in teflon tape to make their jewelry gradually larger.

=o I finally started stretching my ears. Today when I went to the mall (yes the mall, shut up.) I got some 14g pinchers. And it's time for pictures. Cause I'm like that. >.>
(If you're wondering, I have a second lobe peircing, I just didn't have anything in it when I took the picture.)

Though skipping gauges is bad, I do realize this, I took a chance. I asked my piercer what gauge my ears were at, they were just shy of a 14g because of pulling and the such when I was younger. So him and I decided to stretch my ears to an 8g. They took it amazingly. I felt the tingly/slight burning sensation like most do. They didn't tear or rip at all. And I love them.
I'm going to continue stretching, but I'm going to go super slow and do it properly from here on in.

Man I remember when my holes were that tiny. It was so long ago.

I would really love to have larger lobes. 2ga is so small. I would prefer to have atleast 1/2" which is double what I have. But I know I can't do anything visibly permanent until after I secure a job. I don't want my mods to hold me back in life. cry

I, personally, dislike stretching.
To an amazing extent...
It can look good with claws and tapers and such.
Some plugs can be nice, but when you get to the 1" and higher...
It's somewhat sickening...
There was a girl onb the bus who had at least 3" metal tunnels (I forget the actual name..) in her ears.
I tohught they were just big earings.
But then I notced the lobe wrapped aorund it.
I almost threw up.

I think how good large gauge piercings look depends on the person and ears. I've seen big 1"+ ones that look gorgeous on girls and guys, and I've seen ones just as big that look like crap. It just depends what fits them.

Yea, I've seen those before. Kaos makes a silicone version too. I'd rather just play it on the safe side. Plus I don't know if I'm ready to make a permanent modification on myself yet. Right now everything I have is only semi-permanent, so I'm going to wait off on anything permanent for a little.

I'm worried about the same thing with stretched piercings and the likes and I've seen several versions of those flesh colored plugs- Does anyone have a picture of them *wearing* some? o.o; I mean, I've heard 'Yes, the work so well!' and 'No! they don't work at all!' but I've never *seen them* and in other news, I'm up to a 6g now. *squee* now that I realize how small a 4g seems, I've reset my goal to a 0/00. You guys are right- this stuff is addicting.

I'm getting 8g claws in a while, I believe. Probably within a week or two. My goal is 2g or perhaps 00. I'm not sure yet.
Random - I really like large-gauge spirals.

You guys are right- this stuff is addicting. I've yet to see anyone with them either. But I found this amusing disclaimer from Kaos in regards to their flesh tone hider plugs. "Disclaimer: The silicone flesh tone hider plugs are intended to minimize the obviousness of your piercing's, not eradicate them. It is unlikely that this product will be an exact match for your skin tone. They are meant as camouflage, not magic invisibility plugs."
