Juhudi + Zimwi rp (Amon and Andrani) Quote: The small red-haired cub had spent a large part of the day exploring in the hopes of finding something, anything to eat. It was hard being on your own at such a young age, but he had managed so far. The youngster had been so preoccupied with his task that he had failed to notice the dark clouds looming ominously in the sky overheard. A rumble of thunder forced him back to his senses. At first thinking it was the sound of his stomach he didn't think anything of it. That is until a sudden flash of lighting followed quickly by another boom of thunder made him jump several feet and a startled yelp escaped his small body. The cub's ears flattened and he sank into the grass, hunching over as he looked nevously at the dark clouds he had just finally noticed. Unfortunately, it was too late, and before he could think or do anything else the sky tore open and the fury of the rain poured down on him. "great...." Could this day get any worse? Quote: In a little cave only big enough for two or three cubs that he'd found, Zimwi jumped awake as he heard the rumble of thunder. Peeking out, he saw the rain come pouring down. Orange eyes looked around before he spied white amid the rain. White... Like him! Scrambling out, he started for the other cub, the rain washing away the mud from the entrance to the small cave. In the rain with his snowy pelt, he looked like what he was called - a spirit. Quote: Juhudi sighed heavily, his chest moving with his breath. Already thorougly drenched he wondered for a few moments if it was even worth looking for shelter, but then he remembered the danger of lightning strikes. Musting his strength, he stood upright and started to walk, searching for someplace safe from the storm. The rain was blinding, made even worse as his drenched mane clung to his forehead and dripped stinging water into his eyes. Something made him stop dead in his tracks. His nose twitched and he thought he saw movement somwhere ahead of him. Though he couldn't see well, he knew something was there. But was it friendly or a predator stalking him? If it was the latter, it was too late to escape now. He steeled himself and continued forward, praying that whatever was there was friendly, but vowing to be a difficult meal if it wasn't. Quote: Getting closer, the pale cub didn't notice the brown on the other quite yet. Or if he did, he thought it was some really clingy mud. "Hey... Come get out of the rain..." Okay, he couldn't see TOO well... His stoney hair was in his face too much. Quote: Juhudi stopped dead in his tracks, ears swiveling forward at the sound of the voice, barely audible over the defening downpour of the rain. He crouched for a moment, ready to run or fight if need be, eyes straining to see more than just the white blur ahead of him. He shook his head in the hopes of seeing better, but it was no use, he was too drenched. Finally he took a deep breath and, swallowing hard, decided to take a chance (if it wanted to eat him it wouldn't have offered shelter would it?) The cub ran foward, torward the white shape, his paws splashing in the puddles and mud with each step. Quote: Ears flicking a bit to get the water off them, and out of the feathers in them, Zimwi stopped to wait. When the other cub came into sight, though, he realised... THat wasn't mud... But it was a cub caught in the rain, and he couldn't just LEAVE him out there. Trying to get water out of his face, he called "This way, I found a cave..." Quote: As Juhudi drew closer he could finally make out the form of the white cub and, realizing it wasn't a predator, breathed a sigh of relief. Slowing to a trot, he finally came to a stop in front of the other cub. His ears flicked at the words, his heart quickening a bit at the thought of shelter and nodded before following the white cub. "Thanks." Quote: Swallowing his fear of brown lions, Zimwi led the other cub to the cave. Crawling in, he shook himself off, the dangling feathers dancing as he did so. Glancing back, he said "I'm Zimwi.." Quote: Juhudi waited for the other cub to enter the cave before following him inside. He took a moment to look around, it was small, but it was dry, and that was more than enough. He looked up Zimwi through his dripping mane and smiled lightly in thanks. "Hi, I'm Juhudi. Thanks for letting me share you cave. I dunno what I'd have done if you hadn't. Guess it was stupid of me to get caught in the rain." Juhudi was thoroughly drenched, soaked down to the skin. The water flowed through his fur to drip in small puddles at his feet. He shook from head to tail, flinging water all over the cave. He started to push his mane from his eyes, but stopped in mid-motion as it occured to him that shaking water all over his host's cave was not very good manners. "Oh...sorry, I didn't mean to get your house all wet." Quote: The pale cub shrugged. "I'm only staying here for a little bit.." He sait down, eyeing the other cub a bit. He was wary of others, but... This cub was partially white, which made him alright. Maybe that was why Zimwi trusted him to come into his temporary home. Quote: "Oh, okay." He flopped down, laying right in the water he had just shook off, but his belly was too wet to really notice. He reached up with his paw and again tried to push his mane out of his eyes. He shot a goofy grin at Zimwi and then rolled onto his back, batting playfull at something above him, probably a tuft of fluff or dust that only existed in his imagination. "Well I'm glad you let me stay here anyways." Quote: Zimwi watched the other cub curiously, then asked "What's your name...?" Orange eyes tried to see what the other was batting at, but seeing nothing, he looked back at him. Quote: Juhudi tipped his head to look at the other cub, grinning at the upside down view. "Huh? Oh, my name's Juhudi." He batted once more at the invisible object before lowering his paws, tucking them against his chest. Quote: Shifting, the pale cub nodded. "Nice to meet you, Juhudi.." He glanced out the cave entrance at the rain, sighing a bit. "It'll be coming down for a while..." Laying down, he curled up, tail covering up his nose just a bit. Quote: Juhudi followed the other cub's gaze and looked outside as well. From the safety of their shelter, he found the rain oddly facinating and he watched it for several moments before speaking. "Yeah, I guess so." He yawned and rolled onto his side before curling up against the chill that ran through him. He had been very wet after all and now he was feeling a bit cold. There was no hunting for food in this weather, so maybe it was time to fullfill another necessity. He yawned again and allowed his eyes to fall closed. Quote: Tilting his head, Zimwi got up and crept over, curling up against Juhudi. One thing he missed about his brothers and sisters... Sharing body warmth when they were cold. Letting out a rare purr, he fell asleep. Quote: Juhudi stirred and shifted in his half-asleep state instinctively snuggling into Zimwi. He sighed contented, a faint smile crossing his face before gently nuzzling the other cub and falling soundly asleep.

Sauda + Juhudi rp (Amon and Tahja) Tahja Estes ((Ello DDB! Come to tempt me with yer sig eh? XD))
She was only feeling slightly better, curled up in a semi fetal position atop of a sunbaked rock. It was getting close to dusk, and sadly there was still no sign of Bato. She'd been seperated from him for two days now, and wondered why she was bothering to hold out hope if she knew he didn't care. They never really did did they?
Geez... she never realized she sounded so pessimistic...
The female simply sighed softly and uncurled, stretching a bit to lay more on her stomach than her paws as she stared out at the sea of high grasses and rocks scattered about the Southlands. Amon Larethian Juhudi moved at a brisk trot, his ears swivling in all directions, his nose twitching as he sniffed the air. It was getting late and the predators would be coming out now, this was the favorite time to hunt after all. He had been foolish to let himself be caught out in the open so late, but then he seemed to have been foolish a lot lately. He silently reprimanded himself and swore to his late mother to better follow the lessons she had taught him. The grass rustled with his movements as he trotted, searching for a place to take shelter for the night. He suddenly froze in his tracks as his nose picked up the scent of another nearby. His ears perked and twitched to full attention listening to every sound. His pace slowed and he moved cautiously. Tahja Estes ((Drat! XD I didn't realize there was a breeding event going on too, *chews on her Nascar hat* TTxTT))
Sauda saw the grass begin to sway and part, approaching her. Whatever it was couldn't be very large, but if it was a baby bore she might end up facing off with another angry mum. Her shoulder stung a bit with memories of the injury she'd gotten on that hunt with Bato, but she ignored it with a simple flinch.
Soon, her guest appeared before her, seeming cautious in his stride. It looked like a baby pride cat!
Sauda was curious, despite her depression. She'd never seen a little pride cat before, only the two big ones. One had been very friendly and the other was a brute of a bully, giving her the three scratches on her left haunch. This one looked harmless though looks could also be decieving.
She purred, giving off her location.
"You shouldn't be alone this close to dark..." Amon Larethian (( mm...Nascar, but the race isn't until tomorrow. o.o )) Juhudi's ears twitched, instantly turning toward the source of the sound and his body instinctively shifted into a defensive position, his fur standing on end to make himself appear bigger than he was. He looked up at the cheetah as she spoke and his posture relaxed, but he remained alert, unwilling to let his guard down. He sat and looked at her with a mixture of curiosity and caution. She wasn't nearly as big as his mother had been, but she was still bigger than him and that meant potential danger. "I know, that's why I was looking for shelter. Don't suppose you know of anyplace do you?" Tahja Estes ((*spazzdie* I PM'ed Mkodi with it, Dust, heart ))
Sauda regarded the little one with orange fruit colored eyes, tail tip thumping the rock behind her. He seemed collected for his age, but definitely still young enough to be vulnerable. Despite herself she found herself feeling the urge to give a helping paw again. What harm could come of helping him and keeping guard for the night? She could be gone by morning before she caused him any trouble.
"I can't say that I do but, they say there's safety in numbers, right?"
She glanced about the area from her vantage point, not spotting any immediate danger.
"There's bound to be an old burrow somewhere if you look hard enough, I saw a grumpy Ratel wandering around here." Amon Larethian Juhudi's ear flicked as if tickled by a light breeze as he watched the cheetah silently for a moment. She seemed to be kind, which may have seemed odd since she had no obligation to help him. Perhaps she'd had a kind mother as he had? "You're a cheetah aren't you?" His tone was curious. His mother had taught him about other animals and how to recognize them, but he had never encountered a cheetah before. His eyes flicked to her tail for a moment, the movement appealing to his kittenish sense of play. But it was only a momentary distraction and his eyes quickly focused on hers again, his own tail flicking in a growing nervousness at the darkening sky. Tahja Estes Sauda looked to the little male and nodded a confirmation, eyes kind still.
"Mmhmm... and you're a pride cat, right? A liiii~ioon."
She playfully drawled out the last word as she stretched, rump raising into the air as she bowed forward.
With a yawn and then a shake of her head Sauda leapt nimbly off of her perch and bounded a gentle circle around Juhundi, then in the direction she'd seen that cranky Ratel. She was feeling slightly more aimable, no longer feeling so utterly useless. For now she'd forgotten her worries, why dwell?
Sauda glanced back over her shoulder and paused. "My name's Sauda, what's yours?" Amon Larethian (( *bites avatar glitch* It seems to be getting worse. My avatar keeps changing everytime I go to a new page. x.x )) Juhudi watched her curiously, eyes fixed on her on movements. She was graceful and beautiful, much more slender than the compartively bulky lions. His mother had told him that cheetahs fast runners, this one certainly looked it. He nodded and stood, his tail flicking behind him. "Yep. My name's Juhudi, nice to meet you Sauda." He struggled a bit with the pronouciation, but got it mostly right. He smiled with a sort of akward charm that only a cub could have and trotted after her. "You think a..." he tried to remember what she had called it "r..atel burrow will be big enough?" He tried in vain to surpress a yawn. It was getting very late, and it had been a long day. Tahja Estes ((XD Oh Lord. http://tinypic.com/view/?pic=o0vx4w ))
Sauda smiled and took a bit of sway in her step, circling back around to the lion's side so that he and she could walk more side by side.
"It'll be be big enough for you, and if it's not we'll just keep looking! Just like that!" She reassured, "What about food, are you hungry Juhudi?"
She played the pronunciation off of her tongue with an easy quip, liking the sound of the name as she often did with new faces she met. Amon Larethian Juhudi looked up at Sauda and smiled. She was very kind and he found himself feeling a bit reassured to be with her. He missed his mother a lot, especially at night, and it was a comfort to be around another rather than alone as he usually was lately. The pressing need to find shelter for the night had pushed thoughts of food from his mind, but now that she mentioned it, he was a bit hungry. He had managed to survive by scavenging on carcasses and catching the occational small lizard or rodent, but it had been a couple days since he had last eaten. He felt his stomach rumble at the thought of food. "I'm a little hungry." His eyes darted about, searching for the burrow Sauda had mentioned as well as for the movement of any unwarry critters. Tahja Estes ((*can't stop staring at her inbox* gonk ))
Sauda had never encountered one so much younger than she before. She wasn't really acting motherly, and not quite sisterly, well, very friendly summed it up just fine. His company was prooving to be subdued but quite plesant. You know, in a way it almost WAS like having a kid brother around, though she'd only just met him.
There was once again a bit of a bounce in her step for a few instances, the scent of the Ratel fading in. Good, she could probably make a meal out of the burrow inhabitant for her friend's sake. Sauda grinned. "You got a favorite, Juhudi?" Amon Larethian (( ah, there she is. xD pretty cheetah? )) Juhudi looked puzzled for a moment. Favorite? He'd never thought of what his favorite food might be. He had always just eaten whatever was on hand. He thought for a moment, then shook his head. "I'm not picky, I can eat whatever." He grinned and picked up his pace a bit for a few steps to keep up. Tahja Estes ((What's wrong Thal?))
Sauda had a light laugh, not-picky was good, she wasn't picky herself either, too much of a people pleaser to have developed her own personal taste for any particular meat. Not-picky also meant that she could have much better luck retrieving a meal, possibly that irritable honey badger even.
They were nearing a tree. Once reaching it he'd find Sauda stopping abruptly in her tracks. The adolescent turned her eyes to the lion cub with a twinkle of mischief.
"Wait here Juhudi, I'll be back with food soon and I'll take you to that den I told you about. Okay?"
She smiled, barely waiting for confirmation before turning and trotting off out of sight. Amon Larethian The cub's ears flicked, looking at the cheetah curiously, not sure what was so funny. After a moment he shrugged and decided it wasn't important, contenting himself to follow her. He kept up as best he could, walking besided her, picking up his pace to a trot to keep up every few paces before dropping back to a walk again. When he reached the tree he stopped as she had. He tried to follow her gaze and sniffed at the air, ears flicking. He wondered what she had seen, and his cub senses tried in vain to see as well. "kay." He watched her move off before flopping down under the tree to wait. Tahja Estes A bit of time went by with mostly silence, save for the nightly symphony that the insects and birds provided. Not long from the point that Sauda left Juhudi by the tree, however, did a great bit of ruckus stir up. There were angry rodent-like noises and a few growls before a dying squeal filled the air, followed by more silence.
Sauda returned half carrying, half dragging a dirty black looking ratel in her jaws proudly. Only after reaching the cub did she rest her jaws and neck, settling the kill down for him to help himself from while she stretched off the work of the hunt with a little grunt.
"Dig in!" Amon Larethian Juhudi sat quietly under the tree while he waited. His tail flicking back and forth as he idlly pawed at a small stone on the ground in front of him. He also looked up at the stars, silently wondering if his mother was watching him from somewhere up there. His ears twitched, instantly swiveling toward the sound of the hunt. It wasn't a foreign sound, after all his mother had been a hunter as well, but it was startling nonetheless as it broke through the quiet night. His head turned toward the source of the sound and he watched quietly, not daring to make a sound until Sauda came into view. At the sight of the meat she carried, his stomach instantly began to growl and he jumped to his feet, nearly bounding toward her. He barely managed to get out a 'thank you' before he was on the carcass, his head lowered as he sank his small teeth in the creature and took a large bite. He grinned happily as he chewed, swallowed, then took another large bite. It was good to eat fresh meat again, and he devoured it ravenously. Tahja Estes How long had it been since he had a real meal? Sauda had to wonder.
The cheetah watched him eat for a few moments before lying down semi-curled for comfort. She was beginning to feel like she could settle down soon herself, and with that calming mindset the past day's recent events were coming back to haunt her. Don't dwell....
"You like it?" She questioned, watching him curiously with orange eyes from where she lay on her side. Amon Larethian Juhudi looked up and nodded enthusiasticlly, his mouth too full to speak and his appetite pushing him too much to empty it. The cub was certainly not a clean eater, at least not tonight. His white fur was rapidly turning red, muzzle, paws, and chest thoroughly stained. But there would be time to clean up later, and filling his belly was his priority. He ate until he was full, until he couldn't eat anymore. When he was done there wasn't much left. He had been very hungry, much hungier than he had thought. Finally he looked up and grinned, his belly full he was content. He licked his lips and started to clean off his paws as best he could. he really had made quite a mess. Tahja Estes "All done?" She grinned, not minding the first silent answer at all. Her tail twitched behind her, the end of it anyway. She rose lazily to her paws and padded over, nudging him and trying to push him onto his back so that she could help with the cleaning, a grin in place. It was more an excuse to tickle him than it was to bathe, in the end.
((*pounces Kami* heart )) Amon Larethian He looked up, letting his paw fall to the ground again, small pink tounge darting past his lips as he tried to lick what he could from his muzzle. "Uh-huh, that was tastey." He smiled at her as he started to lift his paw again, but was instead startled to find himself rolling onto his back with a light thud. He squired, batting at her lightly with his paws. "Hey! I can do that myself. Ack! Stop it, that tickles!" He giggled, trying to roll onto his side to escape, his paws twitching as he tried to wriggle free. Quote: Sauda laughed as well, pulling back if only to dodge his playful swats, then mussing up the fur atop his head with one of her own paws. He was a cute little boy, reminding her of her brother, whom she hadn't seen for some months and months now.
She smiled, sunny-brown eyes warm with a friendly bit of life, and let the cub get back to his own paws. The two then set off at a playful pace towards the shelter she'd promised, breaking the silence of the night with childish banter and laughter trailing after them as they went. Who knew when the next time they met would be, but at least the two of them knew now that sometimes it was okay to rely on the kindness of strangers, and to let fate intervene in their lives.

Ali'ikai + Colche RP (Amon and Syr) Syrius Lionwing She was a fully grown cheetah yet her bosdy was very petite. Her bone structure was delecate her skull lichgt and rounded as all cheetahs. Her leg were long and swift moving as she padded along, her tail swaying gently behind her. As with all cheetahs her lope was swift and graceful her suple mucles moving in a fluid manner.
As was usual with her latest escapades, the slender cheetah knew not wheer she was or wheer she was headed. the world was her oyster but home was behind her. Soft blue eyes watched the horizon in a soft, sadened manner. She did not know her goal, she was simply, moving because she could there was no rhyme nore reason to her journey. this above all things irritated ehr. Why had she not returned home yet? she wanted to yet her journey was not over and she did not know why. A soft sigh escaped the little cheetah as she paused and lay downin the long brittle grass. Where was she going? Amon Larethian A large blue shape moved with casual steps, white paws flattening the grass beheath him with each step only to have it spring up again behind him. His head was lowered, pale eyes hidden from the sun behind the white strands of his brilliant mane.
It was so bright, the nitedwelling lion wishing for the sun to disappear behind the horizon, or at least some shade. Or better yet, a cool dark place to rest until nightfall. To one so used to walking in the dark, even the smallest amount of sunlight was blinding.
Pausing in his tracks, the lion's ears flicked, nose twitching at the scents in the air. Rather than his eyes, this lion relied more on his nose and his ears to guide him, that's not to say his vission was lacking, he had just learned to use other senses more.
There was someone nearby, though he couldn't tell who. It was certainly feline, though it didn't smell of a lion. Well...he didn't smell any danger in the air, so it was what it was...he'd worry about it when he got there. Syrius Lionwing Colches ears leapt in to the air at the sound of somehting approachig. Heavy foot falls. The plodding sound of paws upon dry ground, shifting sands. Oh gods it was a lion!
Leaping to ehr foot paws suddenly the little cheetah stood stock still guaging wheer ther beast was in comparison to ehrself. She couldn't run, she wanted to, but he was far too close for ehr to dash away with any sort of speed. Looking around herself she stared wide eyed, her tail out behind her bushing up in a bottle brush like manner. "St..st..stay back" she stumbled over her words, something she hadn't done in a very long time. She was so much more confident now but seeing a lion ebfore ehr and a very large one at that, her heart leapt in to her throat.
By Colche's reaconing all lions were cheetah kilelrs, this was just another lion an obstacle between her and escape, freedom and life. She visably panted lookingvery frightened. Was this her end? Had her wanderings braught hetr the same fate as her mother? Amon Larethian The lion's reaction was calm, unconcerned. Despite that fact that his vission was obscured by the sunlight, he could see the cat well enough, and if he hadn't he could certainly hear her movements. Before he had seen her he knew from the sound of light paws that she was a cheetah and that she was now standing, from the sound of her voice that she was female, he could smell that she was frightened.
Lifting his head, white mane falling around his shoulders and ears, the lion's pale blue eyes focused on the smaller cat. He had paused in his tracks purely out of instinct, his tail flicking behind him. His voice was calm, flowing like the river or the waves of the ocean with a slight accent that was difficult to place.
"What's your problem?"
The lion stepped forwad again, continuing his path, unhindered by the cheetah's presence or her words.Syrius Lionwing Colche let out a slight squeeky upset sound. It wa sort of a whistle of distress and she tried to back away "Lion!" She stated simply her tongue lolling out. She panted in an extremely feared manner her perfect baby blue eyes wide with the shock of being so close. "I don't wnat to die!" she squeeked ehr voice strained and almost exhausted sounding.
The femmes long tail lashed around behind her in a sort of helicopter like movement, she was aggitated afraid and far worse paralised to the spot. She felt shocked and exhausted unable to run even if she could have gotten away. "st..stay where you are..please" she mumbles then her voice lowering to a pitch which was difficult to hear. When had a lion ever listened to a cheetah? Which ever god was watching her was not in a kind mood. did they wish her to die today? Amon Larethian "Lion? Oh my god, where? Where?!"
His head turned, looking from side to side, pretending to be searching for the creature she had spoken of. It seemed he was feeling a bit sarcastic today, but it wasn't really ment to mock the frightened cheetah. Though he did think it was rather silly for her act that way.
"Yeah, I'm a lion, so what?"
He failed to see what the big deal was. So he was a lion, and this was a cheetah, who cares? The prince of his pride was a cheetah after all, what did it matter what this cat was or what any other cat was.
The lion tilted his head, ears flicking curiously as he watched the cheetah's movements. What was with her anyways? Someone needed to learn to chill.
"You always this jumpy?" Syrius Lionwing Colche's ears twitched unhappily though she did calm at least a little bit "y..y..You're not going to ku..ku..kill me?" she managed to stutter though her legs were still tenced, she would get awayw ith her life even if it meant sacrificing an appendage to this collosus.
"Lions kill cheetahs." She stated suddenly as if it needed to be said! Thats what lions did they killed cheetahs they mauled their bodies and left them and it wasn't even for food it was for sport for their own twisted sences of humour.
"No! I am not infact usually this jumpy but you pride cats make me nervous!" she sniffed unhappily her voice almost whined now as she watched the white maned male ehr tail still whacked around in an irrattic manner, the fur on the back of ehr neck was slowly standing on end and a line of risen hair flowed along ehr spine. Did he expect her to just relax? He was a lion! They had killed ehr mother why should shenot be nervous? Amon Larethian Ali'ikai settled back on his haunches, tufted tail flicking calmly behind him, the yellow tip glowing against the green of the grass. Uh...huh....someone defintely needed to chill, did he really look like he was out to kill her? I mean really...as if.
"I suppose that's true, some lions do kill cheetahs. Though I know a cheetah that would happily kill a lion."
He shook his head, taking shelter from the sun again behind his white mane, shifting to the small amount of shadow that stretched across the ground. Every part of the lion's posture was calm, relaxed...no, more like it just didn't matter. In fact this cat was the quintessencial ocean bum, fitting of his name king of the sea.
"Why...would I want to kill you?"Syrius Lionwing Colche licked ehr lips calmly. A cheetah that could kill a lion? "there is a cheetah taht could kill a lion?" she sounded flabbaghasted. How could a cheetah kill a lion? wasn't it an impossibility? Wasn't it impossible for cheetahs to be green though and wasn't it impossible for them to climb trees? her journey had devouched all these things. She had seen them even the tree leaping cheetah.
"I..I don't know" she stumbles over her words though she did calm slightly simply because of his posture. Lions tenced before they pounced "I wish i knew why lions kill cheetahs. it is beyond my understanding" Her ears flickered and flatteend against ehr head as she said it. She looked embaressed almost ashamed of ehr assumation. "you see..uhm..lions killed my mother..i thought..thought you were all the same." She cleared her throat, what she meant was she had assumed, yet heer was a lion whom was so laid back he was telling her of a cheetah that could kill a lion? She was surprised, to say the least. Amon Larethian The blue lion shrugged, was it really all that surprising? It's not like cheetahs were weeklings or something, they were just specialized differently.
"Sure, brute force isn't everything."
Ali stood enough to extend his forelegs before him in a long relaxing stretch, his jaws falling open, tounge rolling past white teeth in a wide yawn before settling back on his haunches again. Could a lion get any more relaxed? If so, it would be Ali'ikai who discovered how.
"Well...you shouldn't judge us all by the actions of one. There is good and bad in everything."
Quite a profound statement from such an easy-going lion, perhaps there was more there than the ocean bum after all. Syrius Lionwing Cheetahs wern't known for their strength so yes it was quite the surprise for Colche to learn there was such a cheetah. Another tale to tell to the coalition perhaps? A cheetah that could kill a lion. It did so amaze her.
Swaying her long tails he once again looked at the big blue male sheepishly "Yes, I suppsoe it is rather foolish of me but it ishard to cast away a fear so deep set." She sighs softly her dusty blue gaze looking up to the soft blue sky. She settled down a little in the grass then. Though the brittle stems hindered ehr view of the white maned lion she could still smell him. her mucles still tenced,s eh was ready to dive away if she had to but he seemed so relaxed, so laid back that she could feel no errant danger.
"Perhaps if i meet more like you sir over time trust will come to me" she whispers watching the grass move and expose the deep blue of the large male. perhaps this journey was for soemthing after all? She needed to know this didn't she? That not all lions would kill her on sight? She would always be cautious of them. Still at least this was a start, she wasn't as frightened of this laid back lion as she would normally be in this situation. Amon Larethian The lion's gaze shifted, looking thoughtful for once. Ali'ikai had always been the calm-easy going type, most things simply didn't concern him. That's not to say he was thoughtless or foolish, he acted when he needed to. But life was a journey, like the flowing river, why not enjoy the ride?
As a cub he had been lost, seperated from his family and his home. But even so, he had been found, given a new family and a new life, and he was happy. He sometimes wondered about his past, but hadn't it all worked out fine in the end?
"I suppose, but it seems silly to let fear rule your life."
He shifted, turning away from the sun and the bright light that pierced his pale blue eyes and backed down on his blue hide.Syrius Lionwing "Yes I suppsoe it is but I have never been a strong cheetah and there are many that could take my life at the flick of a paw." she paused fior a moment silent in her thought patterns "I live a good life but you have shown me something sir" She whispered "not all lions will kill me on sight. It is a lesson I much needed to learn." She stretched out her claws peering at the sky through the dry brown grasses.
"Thankyou for that" She stood slowly then ehr long slender tail swaying behind her her dusty blue eyes resting upon the male once again. "Thankyou" She bowed ehr graceful swanlike neck to the big lion turning to leave. Perhaps this was what her journey was about, it was a journey to learn her place and the place of others in the world. She would certainly still be cautious of lions but less frightened of them from now on. She smiled back at the male, she would never have turned ehr back on a lion before yet here she was walking away from him. She sighed gently. This was certainly a good day her journey she felt was nearing an end she would soon return to the coalition lands with many stories and with more courage than she had ever held before.((hope ye don't mind me wrapping amon it's gettting kinda late and I needs ta sleep!)) Amon Larethian (( It's fine, sometimes short RP's are the best. ^^ )) The lion raised a brow, blue eyes watching the cheetah from behind his mane. That had been a short meeting, but then strangers often crossed paths for but a brief moment before fading off again in their own directions. To the lion it had been just that, a simple crossing, nothing more; little did he know the profound effect he had had on the cheetah.
He stayed where he was a short while until the cheetah had moved off. When she had faded from view, he stood to his white paws and walked on, continuing the path he had been traveling before until he found a dark place to rest until nitefall.

Roho, Kiuma, and Tanaka RP (FM, Blue, and Amon) FallenMercury Hodari'roho shook herself off, rising from her quick nap. It was rare for her to be awake during the day, prefering to keep to the night, but she was traveling and found that it was easier to trek through the hours of sunlight. Sitting down, she licked her paw lightly, fixing her fangs around a thorn in her pad. Pulling it out quickly, she spat it to the ground before standing up and beginning to trot forward.
Roho's crimson eyes shone with anticipation. She had heard, from a pair of wandering rogues, about a land where the inhabitants - hyenas - were rather hostile towards her own kind. They had described the location in detail - it was near the massive, jutting rock that stuck out on the savannah and was identifiable by the large quantities of skeletons lying about. Her fur tingled in anticipation. She had no fear of hyenas and was confident that she could defend herself against them if it came to a battle.
She lifted her head, her nose twitching as she took in the scents. Her fur bristled as she caught the smell of a lioness - a pregnant one, at that. Though she was confident that she could avoid being hurt by the hyenas, she was not so sure she could fare well in a battle against a lion defending his pregnant mate. She crouched low in the tall, sandy coloured grass, completely still except for the occasional rise and fall of her flanks.
Someone was approaching. Bluefire Dragonz Kiuma paced on the outskirts of the Graveyard, her paws just short of the long savannah grass she knew so well. On the horizon, she could just making out a jut of rock, black against the sky. Home called to her with a siren's voice, oh-so tempting to just take the few steps that would bring her back into the world she had grown up in. Mother was probably lounging in the sun on that bit of rock, the rest of the pride scattered through the lands going about their own buisness. For the first time in her life, the crimson lioness felt like an outsider, home-sickness a dull ache in her chest.
Her soft, rounded ears fell back against her skull, her steps quickening. Tanaka would be returning any time now, those two useless cubs padding at his heals. A small sigh slipped from her throat, her head hanging lower between her powerful shoulders. Was she to never have him to herself anymore? They were always around being... well, cubs. Yet everytime she looked at her mate, she could think of little else than what they'd done in the shaddow of that elephant skull, wanting him again. The lioness snorted. Fat chance of that, with those two always lurking around. FallenMercury Roho's whiskers twitched as the red lioness came into view. She took another quick sniff, unable to detect any trace of another lion, especially one that might be the mate of this lioness. Deciding it was safe enough, she rose to her paws, her oddly coloured fur vivid against the sandy brown grass. Tossing her head, her forelock was brushed across her right eye, a smirk crossing her lips. She decided, however, to be cautious with her words around this one - who knows when her mate might decide to pop out?
She snorted. Most females she had met were weak and slight, hardly a worthy opponent. She had met a few, of course, that could hold their own in battle, but she never worried much about her own gender. It was generally the males you had to watch out for - larger, stronger, and it seemed infinitely more aggressive.
Roho padded calmly towards Kiuma, stopping a few feet short of the red lioness. Tracing her gaze, she noted the rock in the distance and Kiuma's longing expression, though she did not know that Kiuma was thinking of more than just her home. She narrowed her eyes. Perhaps her gut instinct was right - this female was no threat. If the large rock in the distance was where she originated from, and the stories Roho had heard were true, then the red lioness was just a pathetic peace-lover like the other Pridelanders.
She had no idea that she could not be more wrong. Bluefire Dragonz The red lioness froze in her pacing as a white form seperated itself form the golden grasses of her homeland. Kiuma's lips instinctively pulled back from her fangs before she forced the snarl from her face. Just a flash of teeth, but warning enough. Pulling herself together, the princess brought up her head and rose to stand at her full height. She was a good height, out classed only by one of the blood, and thick with muscle from hunting and travel. There was little about Kiuma that was soft, least of all her blood-red eyes as she looked down on the rogue female.
Her voice cracked out like the lash of a whip, ears still back against her head. It would be wise to be cautious, much as her pride said otherwise. Who knew if the lioness was alone... "Who are you? And just what are you doing here?" She barked, her dark-tipped tail lashing. Normally more of one for charm and grace, the red lioness was rather irritable today. Hormones did that to a female. FallenMercury Roho raised a brow. She, too, was quite well muscled, but she wasn't quite as tall as Kiuma. Her lean build showed off her years of traveling and the series of scars along the right side of her muzzle showed that she was no stranger to fights. This time, however, she did not seem hostile, meerly cool and collected.
"My, my, aren't we the snippy one?" she growled, narrowing her eyes. "I simply came here to meet with the scruffy lion-hating hyenas that take up residence here." Her eyes twinkled and she smirked. "I figured I might get into a good scrap or two. My days have been awfully dull as of late and a bit of action is just what I need to get going again."
She took a small step towards Kiuma, lifting her muzzle and taking in a quick sniff. "What I've heard about this place leads me to believe that you don't live here - or do you?" She narrowed her eyes, wasting no time for greetings. "I wouldn't think this is a very suitable place to raise cubs."
She still did not sound aggressive, and though her eyes flashed, her ears were perked calmly and her hackles were lowered. Bluefire Dragonz Kiuma growled at the other lioness, her own eyes narrowing. "You're wasting your time in there. I've been all over it, and I only turned up a pair of scruffy cubs and a pair of pathetic adolescents. Hardly a challenge for such a tough, worldly lioness like yourself." Her sneer changed her compliment into an epithet, her smile cruel. "And no, I don't live in this gods-forsaken place. Nothing but bones and dust and death. Much as I like death, it wears on the nerves. And the hyenas are a bit of a bother too." Kiuma conveniently left out the fact that she'd only ever actually seen a hyena once in her life. The memory was hazy, but she did see a glimpse of a gray hyena attacked her brother Kijito, and the brash Kiuma leaping to his rescue. She might not like her family much, but a Pridelander was a Pridelander, and she's defend both her homeland and her pride to her death.
"This is a wonderful place to raise cubs." She bit out sarcasticly, laughing. "They turn out so well, from what I've seen." Her pregnancy unknown to her quite yet, the red lioness's mind jumped to other conclusions. FallenMercury Roho snorted, shaking her head. "Four days travel, wasted. Well, I suppose I should thank you for letting me know before I killed even more time wandering around in search of them." She sneered at Kiuma's insult, simply flicking her tail. Her eyes glittered as the red lioness mentioned death and a slight grin crept across her lips.
"A lioness who has a penchant for death? I'm inclined to like you already." She bared her fangs in a grin, settling down in a sitting position. "That's a pretty damn rare thing, too. A bit of a disappointment as well, I suppose. I was hoping I'd at least get some sort of action, fight-wise. Ah well."
Her lips parted as she yawning. "My name is Hodari'roho, for the record." Bluefire Dragonz The princess smirked, her fangs flashing in the bright sunlight. "No need for thanks. I'm sure you would have at least found something in there that was to your liking." She licked her chops as Kiuma sat back as well, the two mirrored in pose. Red eyes glittered as their owner grinned wider, the comment on liking death doing much to change her attitude towards the other lioness. Hodari'roho, eh? "With a name like Kiuma, 'something that causes pain', how could I not enjoy death? Specifically bringing it to my prey. Everything else, I just like to torment." A harsh laugh slipped from her throat, the rare sound of her purr joining it. Not entirely a soothing sound, it grated like rocks cracking. Amon Larethian A large white figure stalked throuh the graveyard, massive paws stirring the dust with every step. His ears flicked for every sound, his nose twitching as he searched for any scent. There was a certain sense of haste in his step, his gait that of one with a purpose, his senses on guard.
He was searching, his steps carrying him toward the scent of his mate, the red lioness that was always at his side. Damn her for going off alone, didn't she realize the danger she was in if he wasn't there?
And then he caught it, the scent of another nearby, near Kiuma. A low snarl emmited from his throat, and he sprung forward, charging toward them. The other was clearly mortal, but what if it had been sent by Mrost, then he would know where she was.
Tanaka ran, racing to Kiuma's side until he burst from the darkness of the graveyard, skidding to a halt before his mate He stood between Kiuma and the other lioness, his fangs and talons bared, posture coiled as if to strike, a low growl rumbling in his chest.
"Stay away from her."FallenMercury A rare smile lit across Roho's lips. "I don't care much about my prey, but I can agree with you on the torment comment." The smile turned into a smirk. "I've never cared much for others... most that I meet are either pathetically weak or feebleminded. Nothing irks me more than the valiant lion who is the embodiment of good and justice." She rolled her eyes. "Loyalty to others does no good, at least, not most of the time."
She paused, thinking. "I was fighting against a lioness once and a male - her mate, I assume - threw himself in, just to defend her." She sneered. "Why risk your own skin for another, especially if they can't even defend themself?" She blinked and chuckled. "Oh, but look at me, I'm rambling. It's not often that I can sit down and talk to someone likeminded."
As Tanaka charged through, however, and stood between Roho and Kiuma, she blinked, drawing back a bit. "And who might you be?" she growled, her voice suddenly cold. "If you think I'm about to take orders from some great lump that comes barging in on a perfectly good conversation, you're sadly mistaken." She rose to her paws and narrowed her eyes, her fur bristling along her spine. Bluefire Dragonz Kiuma smirked right along with Roho, their expressions nearly identical. Finally, a lioness she could relate to. How long had she gone with nothing but those peace-loving lions? Her whole life, if the truth were known. She snorted as she mentioned a male defending his mate, though she kept the fact that her opinion differed to herself. Dying for your mate was a good way to die, though to do it for someone weak diminished your own sacrifice.
Then a wall of white and gold superimposed itself between her eyes and the lioness she spoke to, nearly bowling Kiuma over. "Tanaka..." She blinked and scowled, rising to pace around her mate's large form. "What in the name of the Circle are you doing? Have you suddenly gone mad?" Amon Larethian Tanaka snarled, large white fangs glistening in the sunlight, darkness clouding around him, that aura of terror and evil radiating from his massive form more from instinct than intent. He was protective by nature, perhaps to a fault, but the degree of aggression in his stance was far beyond normal.
Kiuma was in danger, his despised brother lurking in the shadows for just the right chance to attack her. Since learning thsi from his nephew, Tanaka had been on edge, his protetiveness running wild, his senses on the highest alert.
"Touch her and I will rip you to shreds."
The great lion turned just enough to nudge his head against Kiuma's shoulder as if to curl around her, to spring to protect her at a moment's notice, his eyes instinctively searching her form to assure himself that she was unharmed.
"Are you alright?"FallenMercury Roho tilted her head. So, was this Kiuma's mate? His actions suggested such, so she tried not to get too upset at him, but it was rather hard when he was threatening to rip her to shreds.
"I assume you and Kiuma know each other, though how well or how close you are I cannot say for sure. However, I assure you, I mean no harm... to Kiuma, at least." She narrowed her eyes at him, her tail lashing back and forth. "I can't say as much for very many others."
She took a step forward but stopped, realizing that the great white lion, in his fit of overprotectiveness, might interpret this as a threat of attack. Instead, she simply stayed where she was, her red eyes flicking between Kiuma and her companion. Bluefire Dragonz Kiuma hissed irritably as he nudged her shoulder, her tail lashing. "I'm fine, for the Circle's sake. What's gotten into you? We were just talking, and you should know by now that I can handle myself." She pushed against him with her shoulder, struggling to push the massive white lion back so she could see the other lioness again. He towered over her, but it hardly seemed to matter to the crimson lioness. Just as the aura he gave off did nothing to make her fear him. In that, she was uniquely immune.
"Roho, this is my mate, Tanaka. Tanaka, Hodari'roho, a rogue lioness come to find... entertainment in the graveyard." She snorted her distaste of such an idea, glancing around to look for the two balls of fluff they'd picked up in the graveyard. "Where are our little... minions? Not with you?" Amon Larethian The lion's gaze narrowed, an infernal fire burning in his eye as he looked between the strange lioness and Kiuma, his tail flicking suspiciously, a fierce growl rising in his throat at her thought to move forward.
It was only when he was certain that Kiuma was unharmed that he relaxed somewhat, shifting to allow Kiuma to look past him. However his stance remained coiled, his senses alert, every part of him on guard, ready to strike at a moment's notice should he need to.
"Nothing, just had an interesting conversation with my nephew."
Minions...in his fury he had forgotten them, leaving them behind to wait in the darkness of the graveyard.
"They're back there."
He indicated toward the bones with a flick of his tail, unwilling to turn his back on the strange lioness.
"We're ready to set out."
Though he would not say why, Tanaka was anxious to set off on their journey again, to leave the graveyard and the pridelands behind, to put as much distance between them and the lurking Mrost as possible. He had no fear for himself against his brother, but he did fear for the safty of Kiuma.

Keone + Amri RP (Amon and Final Crucible) Quote: A spotted form moved silently through the jungle, his white color blending surprisingly well with the green that surrounded him. He moved with the grace and agility of a jungle cat, having lived among the trees since cubhood. Perhaps this knowledge would make it less surprising that his steps made no sound despite the fact that he made no attempt to silence them. In fact his movements where deliberate, purposeful, as if the falling night guided him to a specific location.
Every few moments he looked upward, green eyes straining to see through the canopy, as if searching for something in the sky beyond. In fact this small leopard did have a specific destination in mind, he was headed for his favorite tree. It was from the height of this tree that he liked to watch the stars at night, something he enjoyed even more when Karama was with him.
Night was falling fast, he’d have to hurry if he wanted to reach his tree in time. Quote: Settled in a small clearing, a pale form of a grey leopard settled on his haunches, the twilight glimmering through the trees. He lifted a paw and lapped at his pelt, an effort to clean the blood that still lined it and hoping to not run into any others. Mafujo was slumbering in his mind, but Amri knew he would not stay idle for long. As long as he breathed, the darkness would take over, and his dark side would return to commit crimes. Crimes he would wake up and not remember.
Looking up a moment later, he let his ears flicker as his pink eyes peered out around the surroundings, "Hello?" He asked softly, and closed his eyes, hoping no one would answer. Quote: The leopard’s ears flicked, tail curling and swaying casually behind him. Looking up toward the canopy again, he could see that night had almost fallen, the deep darkness of the jungle surrounding him, his form disappearing among the green far more easily than in the day.
Having spent his entire life in the jungle, Keone was comfortable here in the green. Even in the darkness that might have caused others to be wary, Keone moved with ease and agility, weaving his way through trees without a second thought.
His ears flicked again, pausing in mid-step, his gait in that awkward stance between a trot and a sudden stop. Green eyes searched for the source of the sound that had reached his ears, a voice?
”Who…who’s there?”Quote: Opening one eye, Amri was less than pleased to hear a response. Slowly moving up to all four paws, his tail swung back and forth idly. Before long, he heard the voice of Keone, he shifted and stepped closer to where the voice came from.
"Just a leopard..." Suddenly, he was not so sure he should have responded. Like when he met the female from before, it wasn't unsafe for another leopard, because they knew not to mess with eachother, but if it was a lion, or even anothr animal, he might be in worse luck. Lions seemed to think they have the power over others, and thus were a huge threat.
"...though don't think I am a pushover!" He said suddenly, though clearly in his voice, there was a nervous tone. Amri wanted to be alone, just incase.
Quote: The small leopard nearly yelped at the response, the sound of startled paw steps as he jumped backward echoing through the jungle. Keone was small for a leopard, no bigger than the average adolescent despite his adult age. Skiddish in nature, though highly curious, he was about as dangerous as a dust bunny…actually he would have run away from the dust bunny.
“I…I’m just trying to get to my tree.”
Green eyes searched the dark, his nose twitching in the direction the voice had come. Picking out movement in the distance and what he took to be the form of the other leopard, Keone took a step back, moving away from the creature in case it wanted to attack him, which to the skiddish little jungle cat seemed to be the case.
“I’m….a leopard too… you sure you’re not a hyena trying to eat me?” Quote: Amri raised a brow at the fact that the other seemed keen on keeping out of the light. Stepping closer dispite himself, he just sniffed the air before his ears perked at the voice. Shaking his head, he looked behind and than to both sides, before finally looking back to where Keone was still hidden.
"No, I am not a hyena...they don't live around here..." He said softly, before stepping closer somemore, "Look, this place isn't safe anyways...I'm not safe...' The last part was a murmer, and when he said that he turned and moved back to his spot, looking at the last traces of blood stained on his pearly pelt. Shaking his head, he just settled with his back to Keone.
Quote: He blinked, still quite unsure of the other leopard, and seemingly not convinced for a moment that it wasn’t a hyena. If hyenas didn’t live in the jungle then why had he run into one here? But now that he thought about it he had only ever seen one hyena, so maybe the stranger was right.
“The jungle is my home, why would it be unsafe?”
Tail flicking, Keone took a cautious step forward, his muscles coiled as if to run at any moment, his senses guarded. Well, it looked like a leopard, but its confused him. What was he talking about?
“What do you mean you’re not safe?” Quote: Amri took a moment to look over his shoulder with clear, bright pink eyes, before letting out a soft humph. Shaking his head and lowering his ears, he glowered a bit and started to pout slightly. It only happened a second before he took a deep breath and turned again, not making any other move to get close to the other male.
"I don't even know the answer to that..." Trailing off, he just lifted a paw and brushed an itch behind his ear, before his claws caught and he recoiled slightly, "Ouch..." Quote: Keone titled his head, a bit curious, wary, and confused all at once. He didn’t understand this stranger at all, and he still wasn’t sure what to think of him. But something in the back of his mind told him to not to approach, and for once he was listening, despite his curious nature breaking through.
“How can you not know? Hey…are you hurt?”
He looked up to the sky and sighed, he had already missed nightfall. But he could still watch the stars tonight. Quote: With a sharp glare of questioning, Amri just wished the other would accept his answers. It was so much harder when they kept on prying, and already he was growing weary of the meeting and just wanted to get away from this one as well. His vision was growing weary of tire or just because Mafujo was getting antsy. He had no idea of what happened, but he figured he would call his blackout-side chaos, Mafujo.
"Because I am not awake when he is out...and have never met...him." Amri said softly, "You be careful, when he is out, there is nothing that will stop him...nothing that keeps him entertained for long..." Nodding, he thought of how it might be better not to speak of Mafujo aloud...and he slowly regretted his maw. Quote: The small leopard blinked, and suddenly his curiousity forgotten, jumped back and away from the other leopard, his stance guarded, eyes darting as if searching for something or decided if he should run or not, ears twitching as if searching for some sound, some indication of the presence of another.
“Him? Is there someone else here?”
Keone didn’t understand, how could this leopard know of the other if he had never seen him? So then how could he know he was dangerous? But somehow he couldn’t shake the feeling that he was being watched and he briefly wondered if this was how prey felt. Was there another creature nearby? Was this one planning to attack him? He could always escape into the trees if something happened, but would he be able to escape another leopard.
“I…ummm....”
Quote: "No." Amri eyed the jump, before shaking his head, "You're alright, I think Mafujo is gone for now...but if you see him, or if you ever hear of him, don't trust him at all...he is bad news..." Trailing off for a last time, he stepped closer again and smiled softly, a friendly gesture before he looked up to the clearing of the overgrowth above them.
"Pleasent night though, isn't it?" The topic swiftly changed, Amri hoped to get the other to calm down at least, just incase he changed, it would be better for the other to be calm. Suddenly, he realized he didn't know the other's name, and just chuckled lowly under his breath before adding, "By the way, my name is Amri."
Quote: “You sure?”
Keone wasn’t convinced, he was certain what he had felt was real. But his senses picked up no traces of another, no sound reached his ears, no scent his nose, and all he could see what himself and the other leopard.
As the other spoke, Keone looked up to the sky, green eyes lighting as he saw the stars peeking through the canopy. They were beautiful indeed even from down here, and they seemed to calm him, a small smile crossing his maw.
“Yes, it is.” He blinked, looking back to the other leopard, “Oh, my name is Keone.” Quote: "Well Keone, it is a pleasure to see another leopard, earlier I met a female, and we both agreed, there needs to be more here," He settled on his haunches, not sure what else to do and not going to offer up anything except for conversation for the smaller leopard male, "There are too many lions and hyenas in this world..."
No distain filled the words, for Amri wasn't one who was against lions, he just wanted more company of his kind, and more friends. However, he knew there was no place for friends in his life, for always they ran off after one of his blackouts.
"All we have is our sanctuary in the trees here, the lions have the plains, and we have the jungles..." Quote: “I like lions…”
Not that he had met many lions, but the lioness he had met was nice to him and he had showed her about the fish. So because she was nice, he liked had decided he liked lions and couldn’t understand why other leopards didn’t. It was an unfortunate fault of his, to judge an entire species on his experiences with one individual, he also tended to jump to his own naïve conclusions.
He pawed at the earth beneath his feet, a nervous flick of his tail showing that he was still uncertain, unwilling to dismiss the danger he had felt, though he did seem to have relaxed.
“What’s wrong with that? I like the jungle.” Quote: "Nothing..." Amri said softly to both of his comments, growing unconfortable in the presence, before suddenly laughing softly, "I must be keeping you, Keone, so please, don't let me hold you any longer." In reality, he was really frustrated with himself and the blood on his paws seemed to never go away. It caused fear to brush through his system, and for him to speak any longer with Keone would mean they would head towards friendship. He did not need friendship, and could not afford it. It would only hurt others in the long run.
"It has been a pleasure," He added with a soft, cheerful smile. Quote: “Umm…”
The small leopard blinked in confusion. Why had Amri seemed to change moods so quickly? He had seemed to be fine a moment ago, but now it was like he was trying to get rid of him. It was perhaps more likely that Keone had just not picked up on the other’s unrest before then.
“Well I guess so…”
He started to turn, moving to walk away and continue his walk toward the large tree he watched the stars from. But he paused, looking back with one paw still off the ground, his voice barely a whisper.
“…if you want me to leave…” Quote: Catching the question, the other adult kept silent, really indeed wanting the friendship but afraid of what it might bring. There were issues, attachments that would only cause difficulties and danger for everyone around him. It always happened and always would happen. So instead of taking it all back, he nodded once, before verbally confirming it.
"It would be better this way, though odds are in these trees, we will meet again. It is good to know I have an ally here," That same still, warm smile crossed his maw, as if a last minute attempt to sooth the other before they parted. No movement, just words that drifted sfotly, and resistance. Quote: “’kay…”
The little leopard was too innocent, too naïve to understand. It wasn’t that he was unintelligent or slow, he just had never learned. He had grown up alone in the jungle with no memory of his parents or any life before, all he knew was what he taught himself and recently what he had learned from Karama.
But the idea that they would meet again did seem to make him feel a bit better, perhaps in the light he would not feel that same danger he had tonight. That would be fun right? And maybe he would make a new friend?
Nodding, he turned again and walked on, his white coat fading into the shadows of the jungle. The sound of rustling leaves revealed that he was still nearby, and a moment later he rushed out of the trees over to the other leopard, dropped a small stone at his feet, and raced off into the darkness again, his steps carrying him hastily toward his tree where he could watch the stars, his voice a distant echo over his shoulder.
“See you later then!”
