Pumbaa chuckled, more out of the fact that this little cub had befreinded them so quickly. With a smile, he planed his rear on the ground, sending up a cloud of dust. "Timon, now be nice. He was just having fun! Weren't ya' Kago?" Pumbaa rebutled. "We did the same thing when we were young. Sortof. Well, I didn't... I really didn't do alot when I was younger."
He snorted, rather annoyingly.

"Yeah! I was havin' fun!" Kago chimed in, sidling up beside Pumbaa. His face was contorted in the most innocent, babyish smile he could manage.

"Sure you were..." Timon muttered, dusting himself off. "And my uncle's a spiny toad."

"Awwww, come on timon. He wasn't meanin to frighten ya like that. Its his natural instincts you know...!" Pumbaa said, smiling down at the misceiviuos Kago. He smiled warmly. "After all, he has to hunt for himself some day. He needs to practice!" Pumbaa spoke, but then stood silent. What did he just say?

Yawning, Athari's formidable, if not yet fully developed, teeth gleamed in the faint light that trickled through the branches above, sappling his coat and giving him a foreign, almost whimsical appearance. Blinking a few times to clear the sleap from his eyes, he scanned the forest floor around him, making a face as his stomach let him know in no uncertain terms that it was time to find something to eat.

Digging his claws luxuriantly into the bark beneath him, Athari rose to a crouch, then leapt lightly down to the ground, eyes flickering around as he made sure that he really was alone. Staying low to the ground, he slunk off into the bushes, ears straining to pick up any sound that might yield...lunch. Hearing something, he lunged off to the side, and emerged a few moments later with a smallish rodent dangling from his jaws, still kicking slightly. Padding back up to his tree, he used his already-powerful hindquarters to propel him upward, although they were still those of a cub, if one on the verge of becoming a juvenile. Hauling himself up into the uppermost branches he could trust to support his wait, Athari made short work of his kill, dropping the bonews to litter the verdant jungle floor when he'd finished.

With a self-satisfied snarl, he then leapt back down with far more grace than he had earlier, and padded off lazily to see if he couldn't spot a small pool of water to drink from.

"He's not gonna hunt." Timon stated softly, his ears flattened against the sides of his head. "He likes it here, with the grubs and worms... Right, Kago?"

Kago was silent for a moment, then nodded, his head lowering until it was level with his chest. "I really was just playing... I'm sorry, guys..."

Timon seemed satisfied with that answer. He stepped up to Kago's side, patted him lightly on the shoulder, then flopped down and began plucking at his tail.

"What're we gonna do today?" Kago asked suddenly, his head rising.

Pumbaa smiled. Though he knew that it was nature for the young cub to hunt and to stalk. He looked over at kago, his ears perking. "Its gonna be Kago's desicion some day..." He says, standing up and walking over beside Kago and timon. "Sides. What shall we do! Lets um... What should we do Timon!"

As he slunk through the verdant plant life, Athari's coat gleamed as light dapplings of light filtered through the treetops above to bounce off of his luxuriant coat. Sniffing at the air, Athari moved in the direction that smelled most like...water--that damp, rich smell that only a pool of water could give off. Pushing a stray leaf aside with his nose, his mouth pulled back in a grin as he realized that his nose hadn't betrayed him--for before him lay a beautiful, glistening pool of the clearest blue that he could ever remember seeing.

Athari padded towards the water cautiously, using all of his senses to try to make sure that no existing threat was lurking about. Satisfied, he bent his dark muzzle to the water's surface and drank, his pink tongue a striking contrast as it flicked in and out. After drinking his fill, Athari sat back on his haunches, staring out over the water pensively.

Wrinkling his nose in distaste, Athari padded off into the foliage once more, unnoticing of the droplets of water that lingered on the tips of his whiskers for a few moments before plopping silently into the rich dirt that comprised the jungle floor.

He moved fluidly, so silent that he made nary a sound in the dense, welcoming humidity that seemed to hang over everything--it was a sensation he reveled in.

Amari stretched his rusty-coloured body, jaws parting in a yawn as he uncurled from the place he had been sleeping in for the past few hours. He had come across the small shelter by chance, but now he was fully rested and wanting to investigate the area.

The jungle was a lot nicer than most places he had been to, always full of life and places to hide and investigate. Every day brought something new and exciting and it was a pleasure to be able to travel freely here.

His deep hazel eyes surveyed the area and then with a fluid motion he leapt up onto a moss covered rock, tail swishing to curl about him as he glanced around.

A cloud of flies buzzed just ahead and he narrowed his eyes at them in a silent threat that if they came closer he would swat at them. He stretched again and revelled in the humidity of the air - the perfect temperature for him - and let out a contented purr.

Maawio remebered her goodbye to Amari, but she wasnt disheartened because she knew she would see him again.

She yawned widely, several of her pearly teeth flashing in the sun. Her large sapphire occuli scanned the lushious trees. She was a little breathless, due to running here, although it was only a stroll... and her chest rose and fell raplidly, the three darker marks on her pelt doing the same.

She needed a long stroll, her paws itched to be used and she was simply bored, although awaiting to talk to the king. She padded along a little slower, watching her surroundings curiously.

Bakhti had been wandering for a few days trying to find somewhere to rest. She had been trying to find someone to pair up with, travel with but all she had was the scent of Amari. She hadn't spoken to him since he had the argument with Maawio though from what she had heard they had made up.

As she entered the jungle she raised her head high loking around the strange area picking up on the strange sounds and smells. She was hoping she would find Amari here but had she missed something? She sat down and looked up towards the sky not that she could see the sky because of the trees.

She sighed as she stood back up and made her way through the strange plants. It seemed to be crowded here. She wasn't use to it but the palce was full of water and that was something she was happy about. She saw a flash of the rusty coloured body of her friend and smiled but instead of running over laid still in the undergrowth.

The young juvenile yawned again, blinking the sleep from his eyes and turned his head to regard his surroundings once more. The buzzing of the flies irritated him a little but not enough to scare him away just yet. The area was beautiful and even though most of the sunlight was blocked out due to the thick canopy above the heat was brilliant.

The humidity suited him well and he wondered briefly why he hadn't spent more time here. Perhaps this would be a good place to settle down for a bit, it was perfect...except for the fact that there didn't appear to be much company here.

Wait!

His wandering eyes picked up the dark gold form of someone he knew quite well and he roared a greeting, leaping from the rock and trotting over to her.

"Bakhti!" He grinned, his tail sweeping behind him from side to side. "You decided to come too, eh? Check out the scenery? Or maybe this handsome male lion here?" He grinned

She roared a greeting back smiling. As she jumped up and nuzzled the young lion, "It must be the handsome lion who stands in front of me!" She laughed and pawed at him playfully. "I have been tracking you for days. I been a bit lonley and wanted something to do and some company!" She smiled as pawed at him again.

She looked around the jungle briefly not wanting to to take her eyes off the young lion for to long, she had no idea what he may suddenly do. She liked the sounds and smell of this place it was strangely nice. "What do you think of this place?"

He returned her affectionate gesture, and took a small step back glad to have her for company. He had been feeling a little lonely since leaving Maawio at the pridelands, and his thoughts often wandered to the young golden lioness. Oh how he missed her! Yet Bakhti was here now and that meant he was no longer alone.

"You've been tracking me? I'm sorry, I just really felt like coming here and didn't stop very often." He gave a an apologetic look, curving his head back to gaze around the little glade they were standing in. "I've been a little lonely too, I was beginning to think I had no friends other than Maawio, I've also been meaning to apologise to you for what I did the other day. I had no right to shout at you like I did just because you were trying to stop us from fighting."

He bowed his head, strands of his mane hanging into his eyes as he did so. Then he raised it once more to meet her eyes and smiled, "the jungle is one of my most favourite places! The temperature is always wonderful and it's so amazing, I just wish I could have shown Maawio this, she would have loved it."

((sorry had to go do something for mum))

She smiled at him, "Its ok. I was scared you were gonna kill the other lion or the other way around. I may not like the other one but I couldnt have you kill him. I hate it when rouges kill each other." She looked away from him blinking away the tears that appeared in the corner of her eyes.

After pulling herself back together she orced a smile on her face and agreed with him. "Maawio would have liked it here. I do. Its a beautiful place I wonder if any lions live around here" She wanted to stay here it was beautiful and she felt at home here.
