my ex has a rim to rim piercing on his right ear and he has that lump, but, whenever we went on holiday and swam in the sea it would go down within a day, would come back once we were home again though, so good old salt water really does seem to do the trick. when i had my belly button pierced they said bathe it in salt water, easier said than done though!are you meant to perform some contorted limbo move whilst holding a glass of salt water on your navel? i gave up in the end and used an antiseptic spray.

It all depends on your pain tolerance. It really only hurts for a little while. The initial piercing and then of course while the swelling goes down and it heals, but it's not really excruciating. My sister has crap for pain tolerance and she has 4 gague earings, a labret and is repiercing the nape of her neck.
Nipples are the really painful ones that and the genetailia too I imagine. But once it's done, *shrugs* who knows? ^^; I can't quite comment on those ones.

Well although it does depend on pain tolerence, n****e piercings depend on the size of the breast (sounds weird, but true). the bigger the boob the more it hurts. smaller boobs don't hurt. I got mine done and it didn't hurt at all, but when I got my verticles my breasts were bigger and it hurt alot more, but the piercing itself is suposed to hurt more so it may not have been the size. mostly I hear it from other girls, smaller girls say it didn't hurt, bigger ones say it did. really your ears are the most sensitive, they hurt the most (I thought it was just me, but others say it too).

It's actually not that bad. sweatdrop Like I said my sis has crap for pain tolerance and she's also horribly afraid of needles, but she loved her nape. It migrated so she had it removed but she's getting it again. The piercing doesn't really hurt much at all. They put it through certain layers so you can't even really feel it. Naturally if it snags on something you'll feel it. ^^; But yeah.

AUCH!!! you are going to instintivly be careful. I've never known anyone who got their n****e ring pulled out where I've heard many cases of eyebrow rings getting ripped out during fights. as far as n****e rings feeling so great during sex, not really. if that's what you want out of a piercing then don't get it. it does feel really cool, but it's totally different feeling.

I got my ears pierces when I was 10. It was aggravating to have them in all the time because I had to be careful not to tear them out. I'm planning on getting angel wings tattooed on my back sometime, but I'm not sure when.

I have no piercings or tattoos. I wanted to get my ears pierced when I was like in 6th grade, but my parents woudln't allow piercings until 18 (when they didn't have to give consent) and by 8th grade we found out I have metal allergies (I had to have cyst surgically removed from my lip that I got due to allergies to my flute). So by the time I was 18 I didn't want to have my ears pierced anymore--I wasn't keen on the idea of expensive gold earrings. I have a large selection of clip-ons though.
As for tattoos... I HATE needles (and don't handle them well). That says it all!

This last year I have just developed metal alergies, I didn't even know that was possible until my glasses started to blister the sides of my face. I painted them with clear finger nail polish and that seems to have taken care of that problem, and I now have to wear the expensive gold earings.

I don't even remember all the things that we tried to help with my allergies to my flute. Someone did suggest getting one with a gold mouthpiece, but that wasn't something that we could afford. We were also told that there were shields/guards for flutes, but we were never able to find any of those.
