When Erik is singing "Damn you, you little prying Pandora," the shot quickly cuts to Christine who...smiles. Yes, smiles, like one of those "I'm so convinced you're insane" smiles.

If look carefully when the Phantom pushes her down, Christine's mouth opens in a kind of "What, b***h!?" manner.

My friend made me aware that the date of the movie is wrong, that the first opera house was made some years after the year shown in the movie. Historical inaccuracy.

Yeah, Bubbles, I noticed that oo. If it had been on the ceiling, and then dropped, it would make more sense. But what the hell is going on that he falls through?
The book is historically inaccurate too... and to keep people creeped out in my film I'm setting it for the year the chandlier at the Opera Garnier DID fall... holy s**t... Opera Garnier= OG....

Alexis Of Shadow
All the time before Christine took off the mask, Erik's eye was normal. And then when she took it off, his eye was really puffy...and droopy. Man, that drove me crazy the second time I saw the movie.

yea, it was a different color too. his eyes are green and then the one turnes blue when she takes off the mask.... confused

Krazy Lew
I can't believe no one has noticed this or said it yet... xd

Near the end of "Music of the Night," when Erik is carrying Christine in his arms, after she faints... Christine's head totally hits the gigantic tassel on the drapes when they pass by! xd

I have more.. which I'll share later.. Yeshh.. obsessed fan right here.. I wrote down all the weird things I found... whee I was going to make a thread like this myself... Should have known someone would beat me to it. 3nodding

1896, wasn't is? Well that's not really contradictory to anything else in the book, I don't think. All Leroux says is that is was 'not more than thirty years' from 1911, so 1896 is just as likely as 1881.

What i'd like to see would be Carlotta tripping over her little pooch......or her ego.......you know, to show that she's only human!

I don't know if this has been said or not but Joel said that when Christine is going throught the mirror and her apperance changes, it's in her head. Just like the golden candle holders are in her head...So the "sexy christine" is how the phantom makes her feel mrgreen So I don't think her make up and hair changing is really a blooper...

This is an obvious one, and someone might have mentioned it, but after PoNR when Christine takes the Phantom's mask off, his face grows and his hair gets lighter.
Amusing.

I didn't notice any of these untill my cousin pointed them out to me:

When Raoul fell into the water, if you look carefully, bubbles will be sinking instead of rising to the surface.

Somebody moons the camera when Carlotta is passing by (Prima Donna) Lol. Not REALLY a blooper. Thought it was funny x3

When Meg is walking in the water (end of the movie). She walks out and her pants are soaking. A few seconds later, they're bone dry :3

When Raoul is about to come into Christine's dressing room, he is holding Lillies. But when he puts the flowers down in her room, they are roses.

In MotN, you'll see a shadow of a camera on Chrisrine and Erik.

I would've never noticed these! o.o *Thank you cousin ^w^*

Hmm, I did notice how for the first couple of lines of the title theme ("The Phantom of the Opera"), Christine's mouth isn't moving as the singing goes on. But when they turn the corner, she is moving her mouth. Would anyone have an idea why this is so?

You don't necessarily SEE Christine the first couple lines of the song. The focus at the point was Erik leading her down some creepy drug-enduced hallucination hallway. So, Emmy wasn't really instructed to move her mouth until when they got close-ups.

This time, I'm mentioning an actual blooper. Not something that we noticed when we were watching the film: a mistake that had to result in a new take. A real BLOOPER.

When Emmy&Gerry are singing teh theme song, the boat gets stuck. I saw the take. Emmy was laughing her head off, Gerry was just looking around, and there were a few crew members pushing the boat out of whatever it got caught on. It is so funny...

(Thanks Making Of!)

Well, bloopers can be mistakes in the film.

But yeah, that was totally a blooper. Stupid machine-operated gondola. Shoulda had Gerry rowing that sucker for real. XD
