In this particular instance, since Keno mentioned it, I imagine it's in the best interest of the RP to use Antag here.
Which means that we've got 25 points to distribute. I figure we give the major ASDFers 5 points a pop, then give the remainder over as a general ASDF "pool" from which NPCs can draw. If we give the principals each their maximum allotment, we're going to run out of points rather quickly. sweatdrop

Tanasha First: The ASDF isn't trying to hack your systems, they're trying to determine your position. Second: The term is technobabble. Thrid: Technobabble generally reffers to meaningless statements intended to sound like advanced science. Fourth: By that metric, I used no technobabble. Fifth: If that's too subtle, then to put things in perspective everything I said is entirely grounded in real science - you can look it up. Sixth: I could play less nice; The ASDF has quantum computer technology, which would (If you have been keeping up on quantum computer technology and algorithms over the past few decades) allow them to quickly decrypt and sort all signals detected by the ASDF for matching video feeds, then trace that signal for sources. Seventh: If the civilian populace knew half the stuff that the ASDF was doing, there would probably be protestors with pitchforks and torches outside the gates in under an hour. Of course, that's par for the course for anything 'unseemly' that's shown on the news - abortion clinics, abotion clinic protestors, abotion clinic protestor protestors, mimes, etc... I'll just say this...stop with the reality checks and corrections...this is Gaia, a place where about 95% of the RP's are fictional and not everyone knows everything about quantums, science, space, yadda yadda. So unless its something VERY important that has been overlooked that will destroy the world...dont post it. That's my personalized reply to you. stare

So, you don't consider establishing a hard upper limit on the abilities of the much larger, better funded, and better equipped force to be important?
Fine by me, I just hope you hope that there aren't any squabbles, as those would end-up short and messy. ^^

Hrm, well a lot has happened since I was away so let's get right to it:

In this RP it's about creating a story where the participants can have fun whether it be through drama, conflict, etc. I could ********... care... less... that the ASDF would win a battle vs. Torama, that's not the point. However, for you to say 'well since we're superior so let's skip the details' isnt going to work. I could really care less about the inner workings of a teleporter, mecha, or anything else you spurt out to make yourself sound intelligent. Yes, we all know you're an expert in this scientific and technological based things so spare us your 'holier than thou' tone.
Leader of the almighty ASDF or this guild will never give you a free pass to dictate what will happen... hrm, isnt there a word in the Anti-Munch Guild for this?
If there is a conflict, say 'I dont agree with this/that' then that's what the OOC thread is for... to negotiate outcomes in the best interest of the storyline.

You're welcome to ignore me, but please don't read too much into what I've said. ^^;;
I provide as much detail as possible so that people have a firmer grasp on what's going on, and what can be done by whom. I can't possibly predict everything that will ever happen, and so I need to address uncertainty as it's uncovered.
It's not about who would win in a fight, it's about putting all the cards on the table so that nobody feels sour if the ASDF starts hitting them with, say, a 107.403822 petaton weapon capable of unleashing unblockable devastation from fifty lightyears away.
RP Interaction > Hard science
Detail > Ninja stars in pubic hair
Hard science > 'Magic Wand' frustrations

Other than a few exceptions, you nor anyone else will ever be purposely ignored in RP/OOC comment, if that was the case I wouldnt have replied to your comments the way I did. I dont mind asking to clarify things, however some will and are part of this RP element/thread in which you might have to be patient or might have to dig deeper. In any case, I always expect effort.
Detail has a limit and the one thing you failed to note is that RP characters are often times smarter than their typists. (Although it's fun to play the dumb ones too sometime.)
As far as the 'cannon' is concerned you're talking about IC Actions = IC Consequences and yes, I'm well aware of this rule. Hrm, I dont believe relations have developed (for better or worse) to the point that we're at Middle East level yet.
Now to get base on track:
Yakima wants to test herself and 'teach' the Ose barrier using the opportunity against the ASDF. Risky, yes. Yakima's personality, yes. Most likely to get them in trouble, if it's entertaining... hopefully.
ASDF seems to be trying to pinpoint their location, being on another plane at best Yakima would do everything in her power to prevent this although releasing a general location is something she can live with. (Renzo on the other hand...)
Lastly, there's a hint you're missing which I noted earlier.
On a larger scale, the ASDF finds out two of its former members is in another group with questionable/unknown intentions. Although Nida is out of the picture, I dont care even if its NPCs who come along to 'help' while gathering info. (It's surely what we're doing.)

I'm sure Nida will at least hear about it at some point (maybe?). No clue if Guardian and Lindy need any filler interaction but no worries here, Yakima will be ready whenever you guys call for her.
