Yes, go you. I just got my better clarinet back from repairs. It rocks now. It is now better than my old one in all respects, except durability, which is why I still march with my old one.

The new one's a Buffet E11. It's made of wood, but the old one is plastic, and that's why it's more durable.

Eiisha crying i waited all lunch to take my marching band playing test and i didn't get to go crying so now i have to go after school crying crying crying Oh my goodness, I HATE it when you run out of time when you have to do a test with your teacher and then you have to put it off and then you have time to get nervous and then you don't want to do it cause you were so prepared but now you are not. *deep breath* As you can most probably tell, this has happened to me way too many times. It pisses me off so much. I feel sorry for you! I wish you good luck!

Like, all my friends have Buffet internationals and I'm stuck with my who-knows-what brand of clarinet that I bought used cause my stinky parents didn't want to spend money on a new one. But I'm trying out for symphonic band this year so if I make it, they'll HAVE to buy me a new one (I have an excuse! blaugh ) and I'm making them get me the Buffet international so I can have the big brown rectangle case too! YAY!!! Are any of you guys taking private lessons?

There are a few Buffets among the clarinets at my school. The best player of us all (read: was first chair clarinet in symphonic band as a freshman) uses an older E11 (and she has a black, curved case), and there are a couple of B12s, too. BTW, I don't know what the numbers mean, save that E11 is better than B12. There's only one "big brown rectangular case" besides mine, but it's collecting dust in its shelf, and no one knows who it belongs to.

Unfortunately, I am not that freshman. I am not even first chair in concert band. I'm 2nd. Yes 2nd. And I am hella pissed about it. I told my band director that I was going to challenge that girl in first and he's all, "Oh okay, whatever..." but he never mentioned it again. What an stupid head. Sorry, I'm stressing right now about everything in my life. Can you tell? gonk Hmm...black rectangular case or brown rectangular case? Which one is better? And which one should I choose???? biggrin

It has "West Germany" on it above the serial number, meaning it was made before the Berlin Wall fell.
