crying Red Dwarf cut out on me! Cryton was learning to rebel against his inhibition programing, and then he met a lady cyborg, and then it just cut out. Why? This means I'm going to miss the ending theme as well. I've allways loved that song.

Gar! Screw you KCTS! Back to flipping between Stargate and My Family Guy, I guess.

You know Kninja, it is creepy how much we have in common. I could swear I am actually talking to myself with one of my own mules right now. But I'm not quite that crazy yet lol

Haha, oh yeah. Have you ever seen Fight Club? Actually MPD is some messed up stuff, and it might not be a naturally occuring mental disorder. Almost all cases that have been "discovered" have been proven as bing initially caused by bad therapy.
Actually, I was really impressed when I tried to start an debate with you about northern vs. lower mainland interests in BC, but couldn't because you made all my points for me. xp

Yeah, I like Fight Club... we were also just talking of Fight Club. "Where is My Mind" spam thread. I think that was a cover of the Pixies song in the end credit though. Placebo's, not Weezer's... I like their cover better, though. I'm off topic. Whatever.
I heard that allowing yourself to be hypnotized can really mess up your mind, so I wouldn't be suprised if someone who understand how the human psyche works could mess around in it and screw you up with bad therapy.

I have lived in the Lower Mainland my whole life, too. It's not like I lived in Vernon or something to gain an appreciation for the smaller communities. xd No, I'm just big on BC politics, because they piss me off so much. I can see that the Lower Mainland is a giant elephant devouring the funds. The thing that pissed me off recently was the The Queen of the North sinking. It sunk on March 22... the first ferry to travel the route again was April 20... a month later. In the mean time people had to pay near 10 bucks for a gallon of milk alone, because they had to ship in all their goods by barge, which cost a lot more. Plus they were pretty much stranded, and some places are only accessible by air and boat. But would the provincal governement and BC Ferries dare inconvience the Lower Mainland, the Hippy/yuppies of the Gulf Islands and Victoria the delays by losing just one ferry from their rotation for the sake of the residents up north? Bastards. mad

Still looking for Hip Hop. Gonna have to come up with some more different artists to search for. Maybe I'll check the music forum here on gaia.

The other thing about the Ferry sinking is that may end up cutting up to nearly half of our tourism revenue, which is possibly our most major industry. I know that alot of people down south need to take ferries for their work commute, and I thought that was perhaps the reason why they didn't spare any other boats to the Queen of the North's route.
Oh, also, there is a stretch of open ocean on that route, and smaller ferries may not be able to opperate outside of the straight between Vancouver Island and the lower mainland.

Sure, the puddle jumpers that hop from Island to Island would probably not work very well.
However, they could have taken one of the large ferries that travel from Van Island to Tsawwassen or Horseshoe Bay terminals for a while till they got the old flag ship ready for the season. As for people going to work using ferries.... those people are either retarded or rich... they if they had the money to bother living somewhere and taking a ferry to work everyday, they might as well fly, as a ferry with car and one passenger is about $40 but would take well over 2 hours, but to fly would be about $70 and only take 30 minutes. That just doesn't happen. People take the ferries if they have a business trip, for sure, but if that is the case, they can book ahead / get there early as it's not something that happens often, people couldn't grumble much about delays.

I think the problem is that the BC Ferries are semi-privatized now, and I donno, maybe the northern ferries have little to do with the southern ferries, or can't be intergrated or something. But you'd think there would be some compassion for the people up there.

Haha, sorry, Fight Club is one of my favorite movies, and I've seen it literally hundereds of times. You just got me thinking hypothetically of you as my Tyler Durden, which would be... Interesting.

Hypnosis is basically getting people to an extremely impressionable state. So when people use it to try to draw out repressed memories or split personalites, what really happens is the creation of false memories or personalities in the subjects mind, based on the percieved suggestions of the hypnotist. It is usefull for eliminating habbits that are tied to addictions, and for changing harmfull or unwanted behaviours, but the potential for abuse is very high when someone lets themselves be put into a position where suggestions can be implanted in their mind and they do not have their faculties of reason availible to them. Hypnosis: still not my favorite method of coercive persuasion.

Yeah. But there just isn't the population in the north to make it worth any polititian's while to work toward developing more reliable infrastructure to provide necessities. This is a problem Canada-wide.

Sorry I was reading up on James Blunt & Daniel Powter on Wikipedia, as I have gone on a bit of a binge of their music lately (it's just my speed right now). Anyways in Daniel Powter's write up it talks of his 'trademark' beanie. He's Canadian, so I figured I'd edit it to toque, otherwise it would pissed me off til the end of my days. xd
I left beanie in there, but now it is deligated to brackets xd

I would never allow myself to be hypnotized, I could never trust anyone enough to play around with my mind like that. There is too much at stake.

xd I see your edit. I actually do not recognize either of these artists, but I am familliar with "You're Beautiful" and it's a good song. I like music alot, but I do not come from a musical family at all, and I never know what's popular. I enjoy it though, so I allways love talking to people about what they're into and finding new stuff that way.

My parents raised me on a steady diet of classical music. I love classical music, but I am always so behind on "whats up" myself. My best friend is always in the know, however, so I leach her for the latest. But lately she has been in a musical rut. I intoduced her to Killers, Franz Ferdinand, Arcade Fire (you know, Emo music xd ) She seems to avoid new music lately, with an automatic reaction that it all sucks, and to stick with the stuff she has been listening to for years or the bands/performers that she trusts. domokun

I was actually going to post a thread in the main forum asking if anyone has a song or a different musician they could tell me about, cause I've been getting a little tired of the same old same old. But then I heard James Blunt on MuchMusic as I was flicking by, and I luffed it. So when I was looking up the titles & samples of his songs on amazon.com (so I could rip him off by downloading his songs), I checked out the section below where is says "Customers who bought this cd also bought:" and that's where I found out about Daniel Powter. I still should post a thread in the main forum. I always like to tell people about the band Dodgy. Nobody seems to know about them, and they are so awesome!

You should download Dodgy's Grassman & If You're Thinking of Me
