this happened last thursday.
so uhh. yeah.
before thursday's practice me and a girl from the cymbal line (jennie, sophmore like me) and the 2 quads (spence, pat...both juniors....pat is the one that got hit in the balls by my flag at band camp after this hot tuba guy stole it from me....long story.....) traded pants.
spence wore mine (size 1. i cant believe he could wear them. and he's like more than 6 ft tall!), i wore jennie's (they were like size 3....they kept sliding off....), jennie wore pat's (which needed to be tied onto her with a belt!), and pat wore spences (which fit just fine on him.....cuz theyre baggy).
umm pat is the one that i like.....and he knows it.
we wore eachothers pants out in the sun for like 2 hours and then went back to the drumline room to change (not much of a room. more like a 5x7 closet with a huge table and some drum parts taking up 1/3 of it)
so spence and pat went in.
and spence came out.....but not pat. because he was left in there in his boxers.
so jennie and i went in and she's mormon and very religous so she turned the light off, but i got stuck in her jeans which were too big....
so we turned on the light and she's like "the button is there....." and pat is like "SASHA. TAKE YOUR PANTS OFF NOW!" and im like "umm....im trying?"
and as soon as i unbutton it she bends down and rips the pants off of me.
pat's just standing there like :gasp: then ashli (clarinet, junior, my 3D studio buddy) walked in with gym shorts she was letting me borrow cuz my jeans were soaked with boy sweat....
and so we turn the light off.
jennie gets her pants on.
ashli takes the gym shorts off to give to me and
pat turns on the light because "he couldnt figure out where jennie was with his pants"
so now ashli and i are in our underwear. both, coincidentally, lacey and from victoria's secret (yes, we picked quite a day to wear them ) and pat's like
"im in my boxers. in a room with three girls. im in my boxers. in a room with three girls. and two of them dont have pants on!"
he looked at me and was like "wow. never thought this would happen! both of us in our underwear....."
and im like "err....yeah....this was really unexpected...."
and ashli was like "pat, shut it. she's not interested in you!" (the next day i told ashli when we were walking to lunch together.....she laughed and said sorry....)
so i got the gym shorts and yeah.
pat got his pants back.
but grabbed my jeans that i wasnt wearing......
and put them on.
except his legs arent stick thin like spence's.....
so they went up to his knees.
and he was like "I'M STUCK!"
and im just standin there like "......err.....do you need help?"
and he's like "no matter how hard i try, i cant get into your pants!"
ashli and jennie were like "....umm....in her pants?"
yeah.
best afternoon ever.

All right, Saturday our band went on a trip to Husky Stadium for Husky Band Day. Well, we put the band on two buses - concert band on one, wind ensemble on the other. The entire way back, the wind ensemble bus was singing at the top of our lungs. And we weren't even singing anything with words (except Hey Baby). No, we were singing any pep band song we could think of, and one of the percussionists was playing on the seat with his sticks. The back two-thirds of the bus was all singing. We probably drove the bus driver crazy, but that's what we do best. XD It was SO much fun.

Okay, this isn't actually my story but I wanted to relate it because I thought it was wonderful. Back in the day when my dad was in college, a clarinet major, his band used to go on concert tours, several days long. Once, while on one of such tours, the band went out at night and got very drunk. And we all know that when one is very drunk, one does strange things... and these happened to be band geeks all, so they did strange band related things.
One of the pieces on theur concert tour just happened to be Britten's Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra (arranged for band). For those of you who don't know this piece, go find it, it's a fabulously fun little piece of music. And there is a fugue section that goes through every instrument of the band, from the top to the bottom. Piccolos first, and flutes, then the clarinets... you get the idea. So, while drunk, the graduate students decided that it would be fantastically funny to reverse the order. I find it amazing that they managed this while drunk. In any case, the next day when the very hungover band went to play this song, they put this plan into action. The director went to cue the piccolos... and got the sound of tubas. They played the whole fugue this way. The director thought it was the funniest thing he'd ever seen, so he went easy on them, and only made them play the march on the concert at about 230 beats per minute for punishment.

I have so many of these, my band is insane xp :
Boredom For our big band trip last year, we went to Canada (Quebec). We had some downtime on Saturday, and me & my roommate O-Chan were watching TV. I was looking at the dresser across the wall, and there was only a small space between the bottom of the dresser & the floor. Bored, and being skinny, I said "Hey, I bet I could fit under there.". O-Chan agrees, and sure enough, I fit under the dresser xd . O-Chan cracks up, then our friend Leslie comes out of the bathroom and sees her laughing & my arm from under the dresser waving at her and says "I don't even want to know....."

Ryan and the Taco It was during a break inbetween the Homecoming parade & the game. My mom had taken me to Taco Bell for lunch, and I brought it back to eat in the band room. I got a rice bowl, and my mommy had gotten 2 Ranchero Chicken tacos but didn't want one, so she said to take it incase someone didn't get food. So I'm in my corner, eating, & then Ryan comes in & sees me & says "Oh I see you trying to hide over there with your food. *whines* I want some....". So I give him the extra taco. He starts eating it, then gets this goofy look on his face. He starts walking around the band room w/ the taco saying "Oh my gosh..... this is the best taco ever! It's so gooooood......mmmmmmmmmm...... it's orgasmic!" and randomness like that. I was dying rofl

Pants
It was the 2nd to last day of school, the day we were taking a picture of the whole band, and the hottest day of the year so far. Band uniforms + heat = not fun. A lot of people were changing out of their band uniforms in the band room. My friend Taj started running around the band room at one point only wearing his long T-shirt that went down to his knees, yelling "I feel free! I should got the rest of the day like this!" At least half of the people in the room were laughing & saying "Taj..... put pants on. Now. Please xd "

Water Bottle
We were marching in the Memorial Day parade, & it was hot as hell. While we had a sort of break, during this ceremony thingy in the park, my friend Jonny's mom gave him a water bottle. When we had to march back to the buses, he stuck it in his alto sax bell b'cuz he couldn't carry it obviously. So we get back on the bus, and he's saying how he had the water bottle in the bell of his sax, since I didn't see him get it. He demonstrates by putting it in the bell of my tenor sax. It got stuck xd . We tried everything to get it out - I stuck my arm in to try to pull it out, tried twisting it, smacking the sax against the seat of the bus, smacking it against the window. What made this even funnier was that his mom was taking pictures the whole time outside of the bus. Finally, his sister Natalie was able to get it out

Wow. Blackie, you crack me up. Let's see what I've got so far...
In 6th grade, we were playing in band, and one of my mallet's heads flew off and nearly hit Ms. Naumann. Same thing happened this year, only it hit a clarinet, and it wasn't my mallet. I was rolling a timpini with really squeaky wheels, and had to stop for a sec. It was the bigger one, and I nearly dropped from the angle it was at. One of our tubas used his instrument as a bazooka at the teacher. Conversation between Naumann and Ian, who's twin is also in the band. N: What did you do? Kid: I hurt my finger in gym. N: Ok, you can go to the nurse. *fills out pass* N: Which one are you? Kid: Ian.
I found this hilarius for whatever reason. BTW, his twin, Stefan, plays tuba. He was the bazooka-player.

Oh my god, all of these are so funny.
My first year of marching band, the rookies of the band were all learning how to stand at attention. Our BD told us not to lock our knees so we wouldn't pass out. Well, of course with the sun and everything, a kid locked his knees, therefore passing out. Well...he passed out on me. I'm not kidding. I thought my BD was playing a joke on me to signify we shouldn't move at attention. But no, he actually passed out!
It was hilarious. I was so nervous that first day and that had to happen, lol. Well, you know. Facts of band camp.
My mom told me later that he was "falling for me". Ugh, that was a HORRIBLE pun sweatdrop

Ohmygoodness.
At our first football game, our uniforms weren't finished being fitted yet, so we had to wear our show t-shirts and jeans. Which was fine, because it was HOT. x___x (SoCal in August = HELL [excuse my French]) So while we were in the endzone bleachers playing pep band music and waiting for half-time, our drum major rolls up his jeans to look like retarded capri shorts. We were all like, "wtf, mate?" (Seriously though, we were asking him what was up with the stupid jean-capris.) His response? "Because I'm Zac Attack. >]" (Y'know? Zac Efron? Troy Bolton? High School Musical?) And all of a sudden, he runs around the endzone, imitating Efron and singing "Bet On It" at the top of his lungs.
EPIC.

OH lets see....
One comp. our band director did a dance off with other directors...poor boy is too white to dance- use your imagination...
We've climbed the old storage room lockers to hide at the top....
Asked how many points we'd get taken off for the day because we wanted to finish our game of Monopoly....
Once before a game we called our BD saying "Daddy? Daddy where are you? I'm cold! Why did you leave me daddy!?" And other randomness because we were locked out of the band room and were too lazy to walk back to our cars.
I've learned never to point to a spot on the ground to show were a drummer is supposed to be...my head joint flew off in the direction of said pointing. Later we ran into each other, literally. Snare drum in the back doesn't feel too good guys.
One of our "bigger" guys, tuba player, climbed through one window of a bus into another bus...yes through the window. We didn't think he would make it either. Some how managed and ran back to our bus (used the door this time) before the BD saw
