They're all kings of something! Or eternal champions xd I haven't really found any outstanding female authors... I mean, I love Anne Bishop and Melanie Rawn, but I wouldn't say that they're my favorites.

Charles deLint is AWESOME. His whole world, concepts, ideas, ideals is ground shattering and mind blowing.
Simon R. Green is another, slighty dark writer of simmilar caliber.

Hmm... That's a hard one... My favorite authors are authors of whom I like multiple books (which is how it's supposed to be...right?) so here they are:
James Patterson Erin Hunter Peg Kehret Anthony Horowitz Tamora Pierce J.K. Rowling (wonder what books she wrote?? lol ) Gail Carson Levine Eoin Colfer
...and I know there's more, but they're all I can think of off the top of my head.

Selzion_Rift Urendell I like J.K Rowling. *obvious* because i'm obsessed about Harry Potter stare Great....Yet another person who is fond of him....What I don't understand, is why religious leaders and whatnot are going after a little immature boy who waves around sticks, chanting a word that feels gimmicky. What's with all this "Why did this character have to die?" questions? Seriously. If you want real magic, go read Dragonlance or some other series by TSR Hobbies (Or is it TSR Inc. now?). The deaths of main characters actually hurt you....And if it came down to it, Raistlin Majere could destroy Harry Potter twisted I feel like a storm is coming....I better get down in my bunker so I can wait for the hate-mail to stop. i agree i dont think harry potter was that great. im pretty sure she just randomly killed people off. and the last book was a real disappointment. but i do like how she ties books together with some little details here and there
