Elspeth looked over at the carnival, legs tucked to her chest and arms wrapped about her knees as she watched from the grass a good distance away. People cetainly seemed to be enjoying themselves, at least, she guessed as much from all the noise they were making.
She used her wand to turn the page in the book, sighing slightly as she tried to focus instead on what was written there, waving her wand in a circle to mimic the diagram. Little sparkles hung in the air behind the wand it passed, causing a soft chiming sound.
"Teddius Creatium.. oh, this won't do at all." With a little shake, Elspeth knocked away the remaining fairy dust that was hanging around in the form of a teddy bear, closing the book and turning rather angrily towards the carnival. "Go away, go away! Proper ladies don't... go on carnival rides and jump up and down and make themselves sick on candy."

Alex followed behind Hiko and Terry, smiling cheerfully at the idea of any sort of water ride, "Tekishe-san, are you just afraid of the water?" she asked, staring carefully at him, "It's really fun, and it wouldn't be the same if we all weren't there together," she stared ahead at Hiko and Terry, blushing slightly before her gaze returned to Tek, "C'mon, please?" her sapphire eyes grew round and needy, "Please? Please? Please? Pretty please with peanuts, choco cookie crumbs, and fudge on top?"

Looking defeated, Tekishe consigned himself on what seemed to be the inevitable, and continued on in a sheepish manner. "Ohh-h, o-ok."
Elsewhere
A small, pale yellow sphere hovered it's way to the girl in the grass. It approached her and begins to speak in a whispy, etherial voice.
"If you are the Girl Elspeth Idontrememberherlastname you are invited to Join Tekishe, Terry, Alex, and Hiko at the carnival."

" Believe me he deserved it." Gordon said quietly. He started rubbing his arm. It was bothering him but wasen't hurting him. They started moving up in the line as people got on. He looked at his watch. It was still early but where was Shepard? He started getting fidgetty.
The line finally got to them. Gordon walked into the red colored swing and sat in it. " I wonder how fast this goes? I hope it's very fast" he said looking around the ride.

Hikaru grinned, elbowing Tekishe playfully in the stomach as Alex begged him adorably to go on the water rides with them.
"Yeah! How could you possibly resist a request like that, anyway?" xd
She pointed dramatically in the direction of the water rides, taking off running.
"TO THE WATER RIDES!"

"Lady Elspeth Armstrong.. and I can't go to carnival. It isn't a proper place for a lady to be."
She turned to look over at the sphere for a moment, giving a polite smile before she opened her book and set it upon her lap. "Thank you though, please tell them I am grateful for the invitation and that I do regret deeply not being able to attend." Elspeth turned a few pages back to the diagram, holding her wand out and starting to draw a small circle in the air.

On his way to the water rides Tekishe ducked behind a shed, claiming he still needed to change if they were coing to go on the water rides. Soon, he ducked back out, heavily dressed in cloths that seemed to reduce the amount of water that would get on him, as well as keeping him incredibly warm on an already warm night.
Elsewhere
The small orb began to hum loudly, vibrating slightly. "I'm sorry, but I have been ordred to hover loudly untill I have been given an affirmative responce."

Alex stared blankly at Tekishe, her finger held up to her chin and her head tilted, "Tekishe-san, aren't you feeling awfully hot in all of that?" she began poking away at the thick clothing he wore, "You really are scared of the water, huh?" she stared up at him, one finger poking his chest and the other still on her chin, "The water is really nice. Why do you hate it so much?" she asked question after question, and she still continued poking him. The water rides could wait until her curiosity was satisifed, "Once.. I had a cat... who really hated water... he was a really chubby kitty..." she continued mumbling about her cat and continued poking, half-hoping that all the puffy clothing would just pop eventually and Tekishe would go play with them.

Terry approached the water ride, hands in pockets, and looked down at the little fire elemental keeping their place in line. The poor little thing looked miserable. It held a tatter umbrella over its head as spray and splash from the ride sizzled against its flaming skin. Terry thought that it might be simmering mad, then again, that might bet the water simmering to a boil around it.
"Hey," he said to the elemental, "We're friends of Tekishe." He pointed to Tek, just incase the elemental didn't recognize him under all those layers of clothes.
The elemental nodded and let them through. The enterance was a small cave from which the sound of crashing waves could be heard. A ride operator held onto a large raft with puddles collecting in the bottom and motioned them to take their seats and buckle up.

"I'm going to have to turn you into a teddy bear or a wind up doll, aren't I?"
She turned at this, folding her arms over her chest as she seemed to consider this one deeply before sighing. Elspeth's expression changed to a polite smile then, attempting again from a different angle.
"My father told me he wants me to try very hard to start acting like a proper lady and proper ladies don't go eating too many sweets and on rides that bounce and whirl and go really fast and splash you in the face or twirl or things like that. They practice their illusions and needlepoint and.. needlepoint." Elspeth sat up straighter at this, speaking in her authoritative-recitation voice. "So, you see, I can't go."

Hikaru ran ahead of the others, excitedly pushing her way even past her own friends to claim a spot on the water ride first. Buckling herself loosely into the seat, she put her hands on the big metal ring in the middle of the ride and waved everyone else onto the ride.
"C'mon, everyone! All aboard! I hope I get the waterfall!" xd
She bounced happily in her seat, waiting for the others to join her.

Tekishe laughs nervously as Alex pokes at his layers of clothing. "Water! Afraied I heh-er-ha-ra-gerge am Tekishe Lifang! I am not afraid of any mere water!" Puffing out his chest he marches proudly into the cave, whimpering a bit as he enters, and jumping in terror when he first hears a wave.
Elsewhere
The Elemental continues go hum louder, seeming to not take in any of El's speech.

Silence.
Elspeth stared at this, starting to curl her hands into fists, flickering white and blue as she finally grew annoyed with the humming. With a dramatic stomp she raised her voice, shouting at the elemental.
"Stop, stop, stop! Fine, I'll follow you and tell them myself if you stop."

"C'mon Tek," Terry says, throwing an arm over his shoulder and walking him into Alex's side so they bounce off each other and over towards the raft. "I'll buy you a corn dog when we're done and you can throw up all over the swing ride. Sound good?" He walks them towards the raft and takes a seat next to Hiko. "I always get the waterfall though, so you two should probably sit on the other side," he says to Alex and Tekishe.
