Trashed White A doesn't trust me anymore, b/c C lied to her about his past. I'm thinking C doesn't have a problem with what happened in our relationship.. I think he thinks i'm going to try to ******** up thier relationship. They have this idea in their head that all i wanna do is ******** everything up. They don't listen to me when I talk to them. But my best friend is also A's close friend. The only real reason i want to salvage the relationships with a and c is to protect my friendship with m. But they're making it impossible. I need closure. It would help if they would let me say my final piece, but i can't get a word in edgewise. I've lost all my friends (from school or otherwise), for various reasons. And I've found that most of the time, there is no closure. I used to get very upset about it, I thought I needed closure, but I realized that somethings just can't be controled... you can't get closure from people who are unwilling to give it, you must give closure to yourself. If you have things you need to say, and they won't listen, then write them a letter. yes, they may throw it away or not read it... but at least you tried. You put your thoughts and feelings out there. This may be all you can do for now, and it will give you personal closure. And maybe later your friends will give you the closure that you need from them. I've used the word 'closure' way too much in this post xp

How it basically works is it can only be one sided. If you do get closure because you got to say what you needed to or because you got the answer you were looking for then you're done. So you walk away. Then the other person is at that point in need of closure. Should they then convince you to give them closure by hearing what they have to say or by getting you to answer thier concern. Once that happens you'll once again need closure as you'll feel it necessary to respond to something or may have a new question. Usually neither party has any closure because someone is just too weak willed to get it. In reality though... the concept of closure is a false ideal. It doesn't exist. If you were to actually reach a mutual and complete closure between two people... it wouldn't be closure it would be friendship. I'm just saying.

I agree, that's why I used the term "personal closure" 3nodding like you said, you can't truly get closure from someone else because that will just start the never ending cycle of one person needing it from the other. you have to give closure to yourself. you have to say, I've done all I can do and now I am finished with this. That way you won't get the "I have to have the last say" battle that starts when most people go looking for closure from someone else.

*stabs every critic who bitched about a Tom Waits song being the movie Robots* I think I need to meditate today or something... every little thing has been setting me off. Like reading reviews for Robots and having every critic complain about how "scary" the Tom Waits song was but they had absolutely so problem with the song "Right Thurr" being in the movie and on the soundtrack (for some unknown reason the Tom Waits song is not on the soundtrack). So a song about sex and treating women as objects is ok to have in the movie and on the soundtrack, but Tom Wait's gravely voice is much too frightening for the children.... stressed Last summer I would bring Tom Wait's cds to work and the little kids (especially pre-k and kindergarten kids) would love it! When I asked what cd to put in they would always shout, "I wanna hear the monster man!!" so I'd pop in Mr Waits and they would dance around pretending they were monsters to the weird music. It wasn't the ******** song in the movie that scared the kids... I'm sure it was the scene it accompanied. A dark dungeon type place with sharp metal objects and fire everywhere, with little goblin looking robots chopping up other robots. I'm sure that imagery was much more scary for the kids than the song... stupid ******** critics...
