We didn't have our own room...we practiced in a church's parish hall. That must suck..Lucky for us we have a band room.. sweatdrop Well, my old orchestra was a community one, not a school one, so we practiced only once a week. Rehearsals lasted for four hours, but any one section was usually only playing for three of them because the conductor would stop and try to get the violins to fix something, or try to get the horns to play in tune, or lecture people for not practicing solos. He also had a tendency to stop rehearsals to talk for up to twenty minutes about almost completely unrelated things. Kinda reminds me of my band teacher but our band is really small so it is kinda easy for us to work together.

Tohru Honda-san Jumar i finally got a picture of me in action! its a pirated version, but it works.  WOW! That's one little ContraBass. We have Contras but They are the Normal ones. not only is it little, but it has horrible tone. and its a b***h to carry around

 Hehe... from left to right - tenor, alto/oboe, tenor/flute, violin, alto/clarinet, bari. Dunno WHY the violin player was in the picture... go figure. XD One of my favorite band pictures ever... so fun. ^^ I'm the only girl in white, BTW.  Me with my BD. I'm on the left.

Andy1989 Skye of Thunder lol..Nice pics Andy..umm...What kind of drill were yall exactly doing in the last one though? wink In Middle School, during the cadences, we had to do these 'dance' things. There was FUNK and DOWN-UP. In that picture, it's the end of FUNK. The FUNK was these weird thing and at the end you had to go in a circle and kick. On the DOWN-UP, we had to put our instruments up abpve pur right shoulder and down by our left leg. It looks really retarded when you see a piture of just one person doing it, but when everyone does it at the exact same time it looks awesome. We won the 'Best Section-Of-Parade' award when we did those...So I guess the judges thought it was cool. OMG you are so cuuute!! (in a good way) I will get pic of me with my baby when I can!!

whee I felt like sharing this...  (I'm second from the left, btw.) My flute section, all because of me, have recently begun to obsessively balance and twirl their flutes whenever we stand idle during band practice... which is why this pic was born. domokun I was wondering if any other section does that sort of thing? (Yeah, we're a small section this year. sweatdrop )

Wow, that IS a small section. Our section is four times that this year (and our band is SMALL, which makes the flutes stick out really bad). I wish our section only had five flutes. That's a fun picture, though. ^^ I love pictures where everyone's just randomly having fun.

unlike other bands we see, we have about 10 flutes and like 5 pics, where everyone only has pics, cept for Middle Township, but the flute soloist(who is mic'd up) switches back to pic after the solo...

We dont have any pictures of this year yet, but i found some of last year. we have the same drum majors and stuff (we have 2)
At a cupertino band review with Natalie as our drum major The band at a newman band review with William as our drum major Natalie accepting a sweepstakes trophy. (its taller than her! xD)

Weird. Our band only has two or three piccolos out of 20 flautists. But then, we don't march... having a massive piccolo section seems to be a marching band thing.
