my mom has a second cousin that is about my brothers age..17(long story) that is openly gay both of my parents are ok with that.
But get this: the whole family wa talking about problems and all hat and hten my dad says you'll be my son/daugher no matter wat and disowning anyways is just TV...then my older brother who is 16 says ..dad wat if i told u i was gay? (he was being sarcastic he 's staraight) and starts cracking up..then out of the blue i told em i was a lesbian(im acctually bi)..they suddenly becomes in deanial and says that it's imposible its just puppy love and all that, but i knew i was bi since i was 8. 6 years now.

Well my family is made up of really holy people (Grandfather and cousin are preachers) so they are always talking about how they don't mind other gay people, but would hate it if someone in our family came out. so yea...

well i haven't actually come out to my dad, but he found gay porn in the computer when i was arround 15 and he just yelled at me ARE U A DAMN FAGOOT!? i denied cuz he scared me off..i endedup in psycologic therapy and i just found out how bi sexual i am...i was sexually abused when i was 13, i don't blame it on that since i dunno what would it be if it hadn't happen, but i came out to my mom like 3 months ago, and she freaked out..tryed to convince me taht i wasn't since god ''didn't created nothing but man and woman, nothing in between'' and crap like that, it only made me realize that i don't even want to talk about it with her again, even though later she came to my room and said it was my decition and she would support be but i should remember that god...and the crap started again...

I am probably blessed to have parents that would be just fine with it. I mean, my parents are die-hard anti-Bush go-gay-marriage liberals, so...
Anyway, I don't know how they would react, but all-in-all, there'd be no problems. I'm sure of it, since my uncle was gay...of course, I didn't find out 'till after he died. I mean, I was about 9 or 10, and I had no idea that my uncle and his "roomate" were gay...if I had known, and was a little older, I would have made them kiss and pose for a bunch of pictures and stuff...
Heh heh, I mean, um... sweatdrop Yeeeaaah...

Well, my folks are about as homophobic as they come.
The folks are die-hard evangelist, freak about any friends being gay/bi, and have tried setting me up with their preacher's son (went so badly...I ended up having a better time with the waitress than that hypocrite).
Point is, if they have an inkling about my orientation, they're behind a wall of denial. I can't tell them because I like breathing and talking to them outside of a 'you're-goin'-to-hell-why-would-you-do-this-to-us' context. As such, my heart goes out to all the guys and gals that feel the weight of this on their shoulders.

wordman Sept Ember My mom would be cool about it, but my dad...I dont know... It's almost the opposite for me. My dad would probably not care as much as my mom, but they'd both be upset about it. My mom said I'm out of the family if I'm gay. oh god that sucks so much *glomp*

I think my mom thinks it's wronge to be gay...thats why I'm never going to tell her...either that or I will when I move out...it will be my last words to her before I walk out the door..."Oh, mom, I for got to tell you something...I'm BI!! See ya later!" xd
