With a sly yet subtly sarcastic grin the now not so young Hanyuu got to her feet and jumped from the branch, her paws slowly sinking in the silt beneath her. "Oh nooo..." she begins, her tone rambunctious yet weirdly quiet, "The men from mars came and probed me, that's what woke me." she grinned winking to her pink, fluffy friend.

Blinking stupidly, she began to ask "REALLY?!" when she realized that she was joking. She wasn't too bright after a sleep... "Oh...ha ha. Umm...yes, sorry."

Giggling quietly Hanyuu continued her not so hard trek over to Aspyn. Her tail flicking sleepily from side to side.
"You sounded like you were having a bad dream.." she said in a less than animated way, dismissing Aspyn missing her pathetic joke.

She crunched up her face in thought. "Umm...I think it was something about squirrels...hey, stop giving me that look. They freak me out! Possessed little demons..." she hissed.

A bemused look grew across Hanyuu's face. Beneath her skull she was glad it couldn't be seen but obviously her amused eyes shone through and Aspyn could see.
"Never seen a real squirrel..." she quickly said, thinking about the times she'd seen them on television. "Bet they're 'horrific'". she added, humorous sarcasm drifting through her speech.

Aspyn whined. "Heeeey. One of them attacked me not too long ago and bit my foot. I freaked about rabies for like a million yeaars until Mom told me they don't get that. Even though...they're evil little things." she shudders, mumbling, "Chatter, chatter, chatter...freaky little chatter..."

"Well," Hanyuu began, her eyes almost tearing from the sudden entertainment. "If you think about it..." she continued, her tone aloof and quiet. "Looking at your size and shape..." she grimaced, teasingly. "You could be a pink squirrel.." then with a simple pounce Hanyuu jumped forward onto Aspyns' back. Proclaiming she was attacking a squirrel.
Guess she woke up perky for once...

"Ahhhhh, nooo! gonk " she wailed, despair blotched on her face as she shook herself thouroughly, to wipe away the image. "Don't SAY that!!"

Flinching, Hanyuu bore a sigh as she huggled her friend tightly. "I didn't mean it..." she'd learnt this technique from her mother. If all else fails hug to make feel better...........

Aspyn made a face. "I'd hoped you say that, Hana..." she mumbled with a crooked grin as she hugged her back. "They just scare me, that's all." She looked up and squinted, quickly lowering her head from the blastig heat. "It's so...hot..." she whined.

"Like fish... Where as I would happily go close to fish to kill them.." she grunted, obviously showing off her utter distaste for fish.
Then, rolling off of Aspyn onto the cold yet non-sticky mud below she sighed, closing her eyes for a moment or two. "Mmm... Stupid global warming..."

Aspyn walks to the water's edge and lowers her head. She shakes off her skull with some difficulty, and plunges her head into the lake, blowing the bubbles happily. She raises her head and laughs. "Oh my gosh that felt good...!!"

"Ha..." Hanyuu chortled, looking to Aspyn from her upside down position. "We could do with a fan..." she sighs, thinking of the fan back home. Then she clicked, She hadn't been home for weeks now...
Guilt set in as she thought about her mother 'spazzing' out.

Aspyn looked up with a grin, which fell abruptly when she saw Hanyuu's face. "S'wrong, Hana-chan?" she asks with a concerned look.

Flinching Hanyuu draws her attention back to Aspyn. "Nothing, Just need a pee is all..." this was true, but it was also a diversionary tactic.
