Nita was tucked against Lauren, tired and energized all at once. She stroked her cheek gently, still a bit sweaty from their activities. Grinning as well, Nita nuzzled Lauren's shoulder and nodded. Definitely "wow." "I could use a shower, but I don't want to move," she said softly.

Lauren gave Nita a squish, "Yeah... a shower... riiighhht..." Lauren too didn't want to move. "But I'm too damn lazy. And I'm HUNGRY too." Lauren belly rumbled in response to this as the girl giggled.
"Pretty Nita..." Lauren said as suddenly she forgot what she was saying becomming lost in the girls teal blue eyes. Her hand reached to pet the girls hair, entertwining with the curls.
Now yet another reason Lauren loved the island.

Nita's stomach gurgled a reply. "It seems I am, too," she laughed, patting her fuzzy tummy. She plucked absently at the sheet, the most comfortable she'd been in that bed.
She smiled up at Lauren, eyes squinting happily. "You really are beautiful, Lauren."

Lauren gave Nita a long slow kiss and nuzzled her a bit, "Glad you think so..." She replied.
Even though the bed was small, both the girls were skinny enough to fit comfortably on it. "I'm glad I found you..." Lauren added, pulling a pillow under her head. "Heh... for as hungry and as sweaty as we are... you would think we would be heading to get something to eat or... shower." Lauren obviously wasn't budging.

"I do think so, and I'm right," Nita said, once her mouth was free to speak. She glanced around the room, for once not too tempted to get up and get the various articles of clothing off the floor. Nita stretched, her back and shoulders making a satisfying cracking noise.
"I'm glad we found each other," she smiled, holding Lauren's hands between them.

Lauren didn't even notice the mess at all, being more comfortable when things were slightly messy. She didn't argue with Nita anymore, because right now she felt gorgeous and it was all because of the girl next to her.
Another rumble from her belly, "Foood..." Lauren said. "It's calling me but I don't want to get dressed! I like feeling your fur up close to mine." She smiled, "You know... it's funny that our fur is the same color as our hair. And we both have a color in our serum's common name." Lauren chuckled a bit, her tail wagging under the sheet.

"I should have some snack stuff in the fridge. Fruit and..," Nita thought for a moment. "Maybe some lunch meat. Enough to tide us over until we can stand to get dressed again?"
She grinned and tugged lightly on a lock of Lauren's hair. "That is funny," she agreed. "Yellow mongoose, red panda... but what about the horns?"

Lauren smiled, "No bugs in this neat place.. darn!" She was joking mostly. "Lunch meaat... mmm" Lauren mostly didn't eat fruit or vegetation of any kind lately.
"Red devil!" Lauren replied jokingly. "See, still a color, but doesn't match my hair." She gave Nita a playful lick on the face as she stood up, stretching and walking over to the mini fridge to get something to eat.
"Want anything?" She asked politely.

"Nope, no bugs, but help yourself to the meat." Nita giggled at the lick and wiggled her eyebrows at Lauren. "Could you grab me an apple?" She laughed aloud at the 'red devil' comment, admiring Lauren's body as she crossed the room.

"Sure thing" Lauren grabbed an apple out of the fridge along with almost all of the turkey that had been in there. She also managed to grab a soda too.
Lauren returned to the bed. "Apple for you, protein for me. Do we need to stock your fridge with bamboo now?" Lauren opened the can of soda, placeing it on the side table without a coaster as she quickly devored the meat.

With a nod of thanks, Nita took a couple of nice big bites out of the crisp apple. "We just might. I can't help but wonder if bamboo would even grow on a tropical island. Might be nice to have some fresh." Nita shrugged. From what she'd seen in the cafeteria, they served some pretty eclectic foods.
Nita picked up the can and took a sip. When she put it back down, she slipped a couple sheets of paper under it as a makeshift coaster.

Lauren nodded, "Yeah... maybe in a greenhouse or something? Some sort of controlled environment we can grow some for you. I bet we can get the labs to build one if there isn't one already." She hadn't taken much interest in horticulture so didn't know if such a thing existed.
The meat was already gone and Nita still was eating her apple, "Hey Nita... did you notice anything during the blackout? I was stuck in my duplex." She knew it wasn't the best time to bring up such things but Lauren's mind had wandered back to the labs as she mentioned them and therefor back to what was going onto the island. "I would like to help get this thing solved... and I saw a glimpse of Aubrey getting wheeled back to the med center. She looked really hurt and... I don't want anyone else to end up like that." She gave Nita a worried look, "Especially you..."

"There's got to be a greenhouse somewhere on this Island. I mean, if the labs can do all of this genetic research, it's probably not limited to animals." Nita shrugged, still working on the piece of fruit.
She pulled the sheet up to cover herself. The duplex was a bit chilly with the airconditioning, and Nita was suddenly aware that there were cameras everywhere.
"I was stuck in here, too... Weird things going on here for sure." Nita thought back a moment. "You saw Dr. Lockheart? What.. happened to her?"
She smiled and held onto Lauren's hand. "I wouldn't want you hurt, either."

Lauren shrugged, "I have no idea... I just saw her being wheeled away and she looked VERY bloody. And even Moreau, he looked so worried he didn't notice me there. But soon after that I was escorted back."
She was even more worried, "********... I don't know what happened, maybe the chips aren't working right after the storm? How else could Aubrey get so severly injured?"

"Geez." Nita shook her head slowly. "No one deserves to be mauled like that. I really do hope she's okay." She sighed and looked down at her lap. "And the only two people I can think of who are violent.. Oh I don't know. Maybe I try too hard to think the better of people."
Nita reached up to touch the back of her neck, the source of the electric shock she had recieved the other night. "They certainly worked on me. But even if the chips didn't work during the storm, what about the cameras? Why wouldn't someone have seen?"
