Everyone gets put out of commission save for Krillin who is too scared to move. Krillin tries to no avail to persuade the androids to abandon their mission to destroy Goku or at the very least, wait until Goku is better. But 17 did point out that while the androids could have asked Krillin where Goku was hiding, they aren't going to do that because part of their little game is finding the saiyan on their own. As the androids leave, 18 gives Krillin a small kiss goodbye and then the bionic brutes take off.

Future Trunks, Krillin, and Tien fly to Goku's place to move him to someplace safe so that the androids don't get to him. Gohan makes it to West City so that he could drop off Yajirobe, Bulma, and the baby. Once he dropped the three off, he headed for his place to see his dad. Vegeta in the meantime has flown off to who knows where to cool off while Piccolo has gone to the lookout to fuse with Kami.

The plan to move Goku is to get him and everyone to Master Roshi's eventually while 16, 17, and 18 are looking for Goku. Krillin cannot stop thinking about 18's kiss as he and Trunks arrived at Goku's place. Tien has gone to get Chiaotzu so they can train together. Gohan arrives at his place only to hear that he has to get on the plane as the move is about to take place. Meanwhile, the androids have a little fun finding some wheels, destroying a motorcycle gang and stopping some cops from arresting them before continuing on their hunt for Goku.

Bulma shows Trunks a picture of his time machine looking a wreck, but one thing he cannot understand is how that can be when his time machine is in its capsule pack.

Trunks, Gohan, and Bulma discover an insect like creature had travelled 4 years into the past from Trunks's time machine thus changing history like it did. Bulma is headed back to Capsule Corp and the other two are headed to Master Roshi's.

A mysterious creature has sucked the lives out of the people of Ginger town and as a result of this, Kami decides to unite with Piccolo in order to combat this foe. This is the creature that had hatched out of the purple egg found in the time machine.

The creature and Piccolo fight where the creature reveals that he has borrowed powers. He can do Piccolo's special beam cannon and he can do Goku's Kamehameha.

After the creature introducing himself as Cell had absorbed cells from Piccolo's arm, it is revealed that Cell plans on absorbing androids 17 and 18 in order to become perfect. Then Piccolo re-grows his arm and is ready to fight once more.

When Trunks and Krillin arrive, Cell uses the solar flare technique to get away. Cell makes his way for Nikki town just as Tien joins the group in Ginger town to discuss what they are dealing with. Goku is feeling better, but he is not 100 percent yet. He reveals the smile he gets just before he is about to engage in a colossal battle.

Trunks and Krillin find the hidden bunker below Dr. Gero's lab, nab the plans for android 17, then they blew the place up. Piccolo and Tien are one step behind Cell as Cell successfully robs the life forces of the people of Nicky town and then escapes undetected. Krillin brings the plans to Bulma and Trunks goes to find Vegeta. Gohan is busy training and trying to get stronger.

On his way to Master Roshi's, Krillin finds Cell and saves some people from his wrath. Then, at Roshi's, Tien, Gohan, Krillin, Piccolo, and Yamcha have a plan to beat Cell. They will take the plane in order to hide their energies from Cell, but the thing is, is it fast enough? Meanwhile, Goku is all better and he plans on training to become an ascendant saiyan.

Goku finds Gohan, Vegeta and Trunks and goes with them to the Hyperbolic time chamber to get a year's worth of training in one day. Trunks and Vegeta enter the room first while Gohan and Goku wait their turn. Meanwhile, the androids have arrived at Master Roshi's looking for Goku, but now 17 has to fight Piccolo to get answers.

The fight between 17 and Piccolo begins, but Cell has picked up on Piccolo's energy signal and knows that Piccolo is fighting the androids. Cell is on his way to absorb the androids so Piccolo has got to hurry up.

Bulma has created a turn off switch for the androids, but Cell has found the androids and Piccolo so it might already be too late.

Cell defeats Piccolo with relative ease. Tien is in closer range now not yet stepping in. It looks like Androids 17 and 18 are in trouble though as Cell is very close to absorbing them.
