Edge was breathing heavily, this battle wearing him out. He would attempt to recover, being damaged heavily by his opponent.

Abyss would still be down, but starts crawling away from Edge and the ladder.

Edge would crawl around, trying to find something to pick himself up with. He would crawl towards the ring post and pull himself up with it.

Abyss crawls towards the ring skirt, lifting it up while Edge was recovering as well. He finds brass knuckles under the ring, and puts them on his fist, unknown to Edge. Abyss then starts getting up to his feet.

Edge would notice Abyss getting up. He would look around at the crowd, the fans chanting "SPEAR! SPEAR! SPEAR!" with enthusiasm. Unfortunately for Edge, he did not notice Abyss grabbing the brass knuckles! Edge would wait for Abyss to turn around...

Abyss, with the brass knuckles on his right hand, cuts off Edge on the run with basically a knockout punch!

Oh my God! Edge was decked with the HUGE punch to the face! Edge would fall over after being struck down by such a huge counterattack, his body limp and almost lifeless.

Abyss holds his fist looking at it, as the camera makes the brass knuckles obvious, but there were no restrictions or rules in the match. Abyss looks at the ladder in the ring, seeing his opportunity, he slides in the ring, walking up to the ladder.

Abyss looks back at Edge and starts to climb the ladder, and the audience stands up as they think this could be it.

Slowly but surely, a semi conscious Edge would crawl into the ring as Abyss would make the climb. Seeing The Monster climb on the ladder in the center of the ring would incite Edge to climb up the ladder in the corner. The crowd would cheer heavily as they saw Edge get up and keep on fighting, expecting the Rated R Superstar to surprise them!
